My first day here I was impressed with how friendly and caring people are. I met some good friends at dinner and I enjoy visiting with a fun group who gets together every week for a party, whether we watch a sporting event or just hang out and visit. There are a lot of opportunities to meet people socially because of the activity programs. If you are looking for a place where you can be artistic, socialize with friends, be spiritual, and even keep your competitive edge with several games, this is a great place to be. And when the weather permits, we all love hanging out on the front porch. I have met very interesting people—smart and talented with diverse personalities and backgrounds. I recommend this community to any and everybody.

My mom has been at The Landing of Long Cove for over 5 years. She lived in assisted living for most of that time and is now in memory care. I am there quite often to visit my mom and volunteer and the staff feel like family to me. There are a lot of employees that have been with The Landing the entire time my mom has lived there. The directors are extremely responsive to my mom's changing needs as she is now late stage Alzheimer's. What's most revealing is if you ask the residents that live there, they will tell you that they are very happy with the environment, the activities, the staff and the care they receive. There will always be some outliers, but based on being there every other day, I can say this is true for a majority of the residents. I also like that there is always something fun going on at The Landing. Whether it's live music, crafts, happy hour, celebrating the season or large family events where they invite the community in for a festive dinner, they do everything with love and care.

The Landing of Long Cove has been our heartfelt home for the last four years. From day one, my husband and I loved the people and surroundings. He loved the activities where he could enjoy crafts, games, and seasonal celebrations. We both noticed how clean and well-maintained the facility was. He enjoyed meals in the Dining Hall and sitting out on the porches, and I enjoyed knowing that he was safe with nurses and aides that were knowledgeable, caring, and showed kindness and respect for his medical conditions. These were the people who would make his final journey a compassionate one. When he became completely apartment bound, the entire staff raised his spirits when they dropped by just to say hi. We are so grateful that we found Long Cove...where the staff go the extra mile to make sure your loved one receives the care they need and deserve.

My Dad was there for 9 months until he passed away. They need more help especially weekends …..he was in memory care. I know everyone is understaff Weekends they had temps come in. They were late getting there. Other than that the place was nice

My mother loves it here. We had her transfered from another facility where she would not leave her room. The rooms were crowded and the halls smelled of urine. At The Landing of Long Cove she wants to go eat all of her meals in the dining room where she has made new friends. The staff here is terrific and the facility is very clean and organized.

I am so glad we found The Landing of Long Cove for my husband. He moved into the Assisted Living side about 6 weeks ago. I am very happy with the way we are treated here. The aids and nurses are always ready to help with whatever he needs. He especially like for Asia to help him. Mary at the front desk is always welcoming and helpful. Zack, in the dining room is always patient and kind to everyone. Mike is also a gem. He drove my husband to an appointment and I met them there. He was so good to my husband and was very patient even though the appointment took longer than expected. The director is helpful and hands on. She really cares about all of the residents and it shows! I highly recommend checking out this place if you need a assisted living "home" for your loved one instead of just a facility.

When our father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, there was a very steep learning curve. Thanks to the administration, staff and support of The Landings of Long Cove, the transition to memory care has been much easier. Tammy has been instrumental in setting our father and family up for success. She has been consistently available to answer our questions, provide information and clarification and is completely transparent. She took the time to meet with us, learn about our father, set a plan in place for success and has followed through in every aspect. Brandon has been an angel sent from heaven. The security, consistency, kindness, patience, communication and peace he’s provided to my father and my family allows us all to sleep better at night and worry less during the day. I truly don’t know what we would do without Brandon. Kamby, Mary, Josh, Mike and Kaleena have all provided invaluable assistance, education, time and kindness for not only our father but for our family as well making this transition to memory care go as smoothly as possible. My family and I highly recommend the Landing at Long Cove for their attention and amazing care provided to our father. They have helped our father and our family navigate through this painful process in grace and love.

My mom moved to Long Cove in the last days of her life. Everyone there could not have been more amazing. They treated us like family as soon as we walked in. Everyone smiled and as we walked in and introduced themselves. During the time we were there, each person asked how they could help us and were quick to answer our requests. When we spent long hours in her room, they wheeled in a cart with snacks, coffee and water/soda. I wish we had more time with Mom for lots of reasons, including wanting her to enjoy more time with the wonderful people and facilities at Long Cove.

What a nice experience. Was expecting just another pushy sales pitch with the tour but was pleasantly surprised with some Midwest Ohioan hospitality. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and super informative. We were presented with a little gift before we left which was a very nice touch. Definitely worth a look if you are starting to look at senior living and assisted care.

My mom started on the assisted living side and is now on the memory care side. The staff are always very sweet and kind. The wonderful ladies who greet me at the front desk always have a smile and kind word. I know it is a very difficult job (especially for the nurse’s aides) but I can tell that it is not just a job to them – they are always happy to serve (even when it is certainly not pleasant or easy to do so). I am able to visit my mom fairly often and the staff are receptive and engaging when I have feedback. These older folks are so precious and it is a privilege to be able to love on them and give back. It gives me peace knowing that my mom is being well cared for.

When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, I worried about finding a place where she would be happy, and that we would be able to afford long term. When I walked into The Landing, I could tell that this would be a good place for Mom. The staff is wonderful, they go out of their way to help with anything we need and answer our questions. Mom was able to bring her cat, and having a private room is such a benefit for an independent woman who now has to give that up. I would recommend The Landing to anyone looking for a caring facility for their loved one.

I stumbled upon Landing of Long Cove by accident actually. I had been looking for an assisted loving place to put my father in, that was close by, that had a friendly staff, and to accommodate my needs that I expected for my dad. The staff are all friendly and very welcoming! It’s not over crowded and everyone knows me when I walk in, including the residents. They offer fun activities for the residents that families can also join in on. I can rest at night knowing that my dad is in a safe place, is taken care of and enjoys everyone as well as the activities. -Michelle
