I wanted to say "Thank You" to Darcy for her above and beyond help as I prepared to host an 80th birthday party for Rosemary at Magnolia Springs! Darcy and her team of Adam and Matthew rearanged the room we used, set up tables and chairs, helped me bring in the decorations, and food for the event on June 15. Darcy was available the whole day to help me and answer all my questions! I am impressed! Pam Terrell

I have worked with Magnolia Springs multiple times. Their staff are always friendly. Residents look happy and well cared for. Lots of activities to keep the residents busy and engaged. The building is beautiful and well-maintained. Katie, Debbie and Darci are always accommodating, friendly and helpful.

The process of finding Assisted Living for my mother was a long and arduous one, but it paid off. We found Magnolia Springs. Of all the facilities we toured, Magnolia Springs seemed to have the most heart, warmth, genuine kindness, and sincere interest in the care of my mother. And it’s only gotten better the more we’ve interacted with them. Before we even moved in, we had a good feeling about this place. When Kelly Strunk, the head of Nursing, came by Mom’s old apartment to do her initial intake exam, she was so professional and nice. She even brought Mom dinner from the Magnolia Springs dining facility, which was such a sweet extra. We moved my mother in to Magnolia Springs at the beginning of March, and everything that has happened since then has only served to reaffirm that we made the right choice. The day we signed the lease, the head of every department came by to personally introduce themselves and talk to us about any concerns or questions we had. They were all so sincere and kind and helpful. On the day Mom moved in, every five minutes or so another staff member or resident would come by and poke their head in the door to say hello and introduce themselves. The evening she moved in and went to her first dinner, multiple people invited her to sit with them. That kind of welcoming culture has really given me a lot of peace of mind that Mom is in the right place. On that note, I have to say, the food here is really good, too. My Mom can be particular about her food sometimes, and she has been extremely complimentary of the meals she’s been getting. Shout out to Chef Eric for keeping everything delicious! Since Mom’s move-in, every staff member I have encountered here has been extremely helpful and welcoming in every way. Makaya and Kayla were the first to come and introduce themselves, and they have been so very sweet to Mom and to Mom’s dog, Tiki. They even come to my Mom’s room just to play with Tiki sometimes, which delights my Mom. Valaya, the Community Resource Counselor, has been an angel and an invaluable resource from day one. She answers every question we have immediately, and finds the answers we need for everything from doctor’s visits to connecting Mom’s internet. Katie Huff, the Executive Director, has an open door policy and she means it. She is always available to help us with the specifics of Mom’s care, and has been wonderful in every way. Darci, the activities director, has made extra efforts to get Mom involved in social activities, and has even asked my Mom to help with some of the fun events throughout the year. She is an endless source of joy to my Mother. Taylor and Taylyn were both very helpful in helping me navigate the place my first few times, and were both very kind and patient, so thanks to them for that! Kevin, the Director of Maintenance and Physical Plant, has also been very kind. He’s stopped by Mom’s room a few times to see if she needs anything, and he’s going to help my Mom hang up some pictures once she decides which ones she wants to keep. Christy Murphy, the Therapy Director, and Jennifer Earnest, the Care Coordinator, are both making sure my Mom gets the PT and other therapies she needs, and are both excellent resources for my Mom’s continued safety and well-being. There are many more people that are involved in Mom’s care, and I am grateful to them all. I wish I could remember every name to give them each the personal recognition they deserve. I am so very grateful to Magnolia Springs, because I can sleep at night knowing my Mom is well cared for, and above all, she is happy. And that is worth everything.

My cousin and his wife are both in memory care. I live out of state so on his birthday I wanted to send him a small gift of snacks but called memory care to see if there was anyone who would put a picture and small poster on his door telling about him and who he was so the staff and residence could get to know him. I got lucky and Jamie answered the phone. Jamie knew who my cousin was and agreed to put the poster up if I would send it to her. On my cousin's birthday I called him he said he had gotten the package, and had already consumed all the snacks that I sent, but he wanted me to know that someone had "very neatly "put up some pictures and posters about him on his door. He told me that was the best part ever and that he'd gotten up out of his chair at least five times to read about his accomplishments. He said, "I didn't know I'd done so much". That joy could not have happened without Jamie I am so appreciative of her willingness to go the extra mile.

I want to acknowledge the wonderful nursing care, especially by nurse Sara R. The nurses really keep me informed with regard to my parents’ medical needs. Sara is very compassionate & on top of things. My parents have really enjoyed her & I am grateful for her dedication & kindness. In addition, the Director of Health Services, Kelly S. was amazing when my Dad was hospitalized. She monitored what was happening at the hospital daily, & advised me on medications being administered. A huge help! Thank you especially to both Sara & Kelly.

My MIL returned to MS after a recent hip fracture and rehab stay. The staff went above and beyond to make sure she had everything she needed upon return- went as far as coming in on Sunday to get her bedroom equipped. Every staff member has checked on her and welcomed her back. I appreciate the special care and attention.

Staff seems to be good, but not enough working together. Laundry pilled up in my dad’s room. Dinner can’t be served because they don’t have enough forks. No napkins. Sometimes not enough food. Not acceptable for the price we pay.

I was very impressed with everything. The outside, entrance flowers, sign in, dining room and the hallways are very attractive and wide. My cousin has a 2 bedroom and it was beautiful.

I saw food left in room over two hours. Too long. Please don't expect the residents to remember when or how long food has been sitting there in room. Please come up with and idea for better communication between staff. Try dry erase outside room? Just saying.

Was in from out of town visiting my Mom. Her Amazon devices haven’t been working since Spectrum was installed. Darcy and Zac came to her room and helped solve the problem, which no one else figured out. Greatly appreciated!

Having been personally familiar with Alzheimer’s, and the care required by those afflicted with it, I think the care provided at Magnolia Springs is very good. Most Sundays I have the opportunity to join Matt and his aunt Sandy during which Matt conducts a simple Sunday service. It is at this time that I have observed the cleanliness of the patients and the facility. I know it takes much love and compassion to provide for quality care.

Magnolia Springs is a wonderful place. My mother moved in a month ago and has been raving about how nice the facilities are and how wonderful the staff is. Everyone is very nice and helpful. The food at the dining room is delicious and the staff is kind and attentive. Mom is recovering from a broken hip and therapy is helping a lot. Mom has been very active with bingo, virtual bowling, happy hours and other social activities. We are very happy with Magnolia Springs.

I went to visit my mother who became a resident this past week because of a broken hip. She’s learning her way around the facility, so I took her to the dining room for lunch. The server was very rude to both of us especially my mom. He said she was late and needed to come earlier if she wanted to be served. He did end up taking her order because we were there at 1:20 & lunch was served until 1:30. When she ordered lasagna and ice cream, he rudely told her she couldn’t have ice cream until after she ate her lunch and left the table. He didn’t take her drink order until we asked when he came with the food. My 82 year old mother was very upset and doesn’t deserve to be treated this way. The young man was one of the twin brothers serving in the dining room. Unfortunately she will have to encounter this server on a daily basis.

We had a wonderful tour of Magnolia Springs. Many staff members came up to us to introduce themselves. It was also fun to see the family Thanksgiving dinner that was being served while we were there. Valaya gave us plenty of information, and gave us a great tour of the different room options.

I have had interaction with Magnolia Springs for nearly three years now. Magnolia Springs consistently displays a level of professionalism, compassion, and genuine concern for each and every resident. The facilities are the finest I have personally been in, the activities continual and fun for the residents, and the cleanliness a standard of excellence. In my profession (as a pastor), I visit many facilities, and Magnolia Springs is on the top of my list. Knowing the staff, interacting with the residents, and personal experiences allows me to recommend Magnolia Springs without hesitation for anyone seeking a place they can trust to genuinely care for a loved one. When my Mom arrived she was wheelchair bound. In less than three months, with the help of physical therapy and all of the activities offered at Magnolia Springs, she is walking, getting out of chairs, and thriving. The facility is clean and well-staffed. The food is excellent. I don't feel the need to leave my phone on and by my bedside at night knowing that she is well cared for at Magnolia Springs.

Debby and the Community team were wonderful. They were prepared for our visit and welcoming. Debby led the discussion and had answers to all of our questions.
