My mother has lived at Stone Oak for one and a half years. The staff is very accommodating and professional. It's the best place for my mother to maintain her independence. They have what I call an emergency button bracelet for residents to wear if they need to call for help. It has given our family a great peace of mind to know our mother has everything she needs.

When my mother moved here 7 yrs ago the written promises of the website were fulfilled. No longer. The management and chefs change regularly - sometimes in 2-3 month intervals. The lobby looks dusty. The food quality has declined so badly I can't even identify some of the glop that's served. It smells bad and spoils quickly. There are no healthy choices like low salt, low fat or diabetic choices. Everything is frozen or out of a can. They serve tator tots and powdered potatoes multiple times a week. Nothing is actually prepared here as far as I've seen - it's restaurant supply meals. The last 2 times I was here lunch was half a Hot Dog with baked beans and sauerkraut. The promise of those 24 hr a day snacks? Over the last couple yrs the ice cream machine and popcorn were broken. The juice dispenser is broken now. The coffee and hot drinks machine uses powder that gives me a headache.

Our mother moved into Stone Oak in the past month. She has not stopped smiling! Wonderful supportive staff, welcoming residents and the food is well balance and flavorful. This has been a the best experience for our mother and family. Thank you - Stone Oak Retirement Community.

Living here is truly like living on a cruise ship-three delicious meals a day, entertainment, movies in the theater, as well as valet service for your car, spacious apartments with full kitchen, not that you need it, thanks to our wonderful chefs. We have had great field trips in our bus which is also available to drive you to your medical appointments. The most recent trips were to the Columbus Art Museum for a concert with the Columbus Symphony pianist, to the Hollywood Casino, and later this week to Franklin Park Conservatory to see the orchard show. I feel like I am on vacation every day.
