Stone Oak is a beautiful, resort like independent living facility. From the employees to the managers, everyone was so kind and helpful to my Mom. It’s very clean with excellent food, activities, a garden, library and work out room along with a little store and salon. I met so many wonderful residents while my Mom was there and everyone was so friendly! I highly recommend Stone Oak for independent living! It’s a caring and supportive place for your loved one!

My family made plans for a family get-together while I had a week off from work. I had planned on getting a hotel room when my nephew suggested staying at Stone Oak Retirement Community in a Guest Suite. This thought had never occurred to me as we reserved it right away. My 90 year old brother had recently moved in and this was an ideal way for me to experience his new life. I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH EVERYTHING!!! The facility was amazing. Something was going on around every corner it seemed. The theater was so comfortable with movies and events scheduled. Arts and Crafts all over the place. Bingo, exercise room, library, and the list goes on!!!! The facility was emaculate! In fact several workers were cleaning while my brother took me on our tour. My Suite was unbelievably comfortable!! Completely stocked with anything I needed including snacks, water bottles and a kuerig coffee machine with plenty of coffee pods. Breakfast in the morning was tasty and freshly made. Another guest joined us at our table and that conversation was life changing for me. Again, the cleanliness of the dining area would score 100 on a health inspection. I say that after I spent 47 years in the restaurant industry and know what it takes. When I was driving home I thought to myself that I shouldn’t have been surprised that the staff and residents all were so happy at this Stone Oak Community. Because the leadership folks defined clearly how flawless operations are the standard. Impressive!!!! My brother had fought the idea of moving after his wife died. But now he is so happy he did. Last thing I did was inquire about a group rate or family discount!! Ok that’s my tremendous sense of humor.but maybe not? Bob Henry

I cannot be happier for my mom! The staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel welcomed. They greet you in the halls, or meals and invite you to activities that are always happening. Tonight was a fabulous concert with flute and tuba (surprisingly fun to this music critic!) Chair volleyball is a winner as is the any time soft ice cream with raspberry sauce, if you like. It just feels.right for my mom. Well done! Well played!

Stone Oak Retirement Community has consistently been a win“win for my mom and our family since we moved her there in August, 2020 soon after my dad passed. She has been thriving and blossoming ever since! Mom has taken full advantage of and deeply enjoys participating in the large number of activities offered. Under the leadership of Liz, Activities Director, she has learned to paint and crochet and has become quite accomplished at both. She has made 29 plastic mats for the homeless (4 ft. x 7 ft.) using recycling trash bags. Mom has participated in chair dancing, learned how to play pool (billiards), but most of all, she loves the friendship, the camaradery and the competition with fellow Stone Oak residents! She plays her many different games (which include Mahjong, Bingo, Mexican Train, and Rummikub!). Having the general managers living on the premise, round-trip transportation service, beauty salon and Physical Therapy on-site are added peace of mind for her children. I feel that Stone Oak management encourages independent residents by allowing residents to create their own community through shared interests. The Stone Oak General Store is created and managed strictly by the residents (mostly in their late 80 and 90 years of age) to provide funds for their own garden community, which is an amazing concept - aside from the fact that it carries miscellaneous specific supplies to meet needs of the residents. The store also sells and recycles old, used and unused items from the residents and families to the residents. These seniors, impressively, utilize their entrepreneur leadership talents and team work to make and save money, importantly reduce waste through recycling! Mom enjoys all the benefits ranging from 3 meals per day, to various snacks available at all times (examples- soft-serve ice cream, other dairy products, fruits, etc.); her spotless, roomy, beautiful, and quiet apartment is cleaned once a week by moms favorite housekeeper, Theresa; the incredible Stone Oak Restaurant staff who are always so friendly, pleasant, respectful, and consistently demonstrate a hard work ethic without equal, including but not limited to the Managers Heather and David, Chef Rodney, all Front Desk Concierges especially Melissa, and the Activities Director Liz. We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the wonderful travel programs offered to the residents! Mom was able to travel to other sister RLC (Resort Lifestyle Communities) facilities in different states to visit family and friends. She was able to stay in a beautiful apartment - an almost replica of her apartment - eating 3 meals a day and participating in all activities offered without additional charge. We cannot say enough how happy we are with Stone Oak! This facility offers Quality aging for our mom!!!!

Our sister moved to Stone Oak a few months ago due to a disability. We found the managers and staff so welcoming and friendly, she knew right away that she had found her new home. They proceeded to help with all phases of her adjustment, and are there to help when the family can't. She has a group of friends now, and activities she loves, while still enjoying the privacy of her own apartment, the perfect balance between independence and assistance. Even her diet has greatly improved and transportation provided when she needs it. Our whole family is grateful she is safe and happy.

Recently having moved our mother into Stone Oat Indepepenent living we have had a sigh of relief. Everyone is pleasant and helpful. So many activities. The dining is lovely. Very happy for her.

Stone Oak is a wonderful retirement community. My mother has been here for 8 years or so and I moved in about 4 months ago. I may be the youngest member of the community, but enjoy every aspect of it. I have had the opportunity to meet and get to know some amazing people. The staff here are second to none. Everyone is so friendly and it is like being a part of a very big family. The managers, David and Heather, are always visible, helpful and kind. Whether you are 55 or 95, this is an amazing place to call home.

My 82 year old dad moved into StoneOak a few months ago after living on his own for the past 12 years since my mom passed. He loves being part of this community and is so excited to have an apartment that is just the right size for him. The staff at StoneOak is amazing and the residents are friendly and so welcoming. My dad has a whole set of friends and participates in so many of the awesome activities. The food service options are amazing and this place truly feels like a resort. Our only regret is that dad did not move in sooner!

The staff at this facility are exceptional! They go out of their way to make your visit memorable!! I’m sure they accommodate the tenants anyway they can to make them more comfortable.

What an improvement since we were here last June. Heather and David are the hardest working managers we’ve seen in the last 8 years. The building looked fresh and, clean and the residents and workers all seemed happy to be there.

I have lived at Stone Oak for 6 years - the first 5 with my husband. It has been such a wonderful home during that time and our children always say it is such a blessing to our family. It is with mixed emotions that I am moving to another town to be closer to family. I will miss this beautiful community, the activities and friends I’ve made and the kindness of the entire staff. I can’t recommend Stone Oak highly enough.

Our beloved mom, Peggi Scholl, truly loved living here. Stone Oak became more than just a residence”it was a warm and welcoming community that brought her immense joy and comfort. We are especially grateful to Melissa, Liz, and the many other kind and dedicated members of the staff who made her feel so cared for and valued. (I'm sorry I can't remember all of the names) Mom also cherished the many friendships she formed here, which enriched her days with laughter, companionship, and support. Thank you all for making this such a special home for her.

I really enjoy the community camaraderie. There are lots of fun activities. We just had high tea yesterday and I was able to invite one of my friends. The place is beautiful with lovely decorations that change with the seasons. There is also a weekly Bible study that is now studying the Psalms. This is a great place to live.

My mother has lived at Stone Oak for one and a half years. The staff is very accommodating and professional. It’s the best place for my mother to maintain her independence. They have what I call an emergency button bracelet for residents to wear if they need to call for help. It has given our family a great peace of mind to know our mother has everything she needs.

Our mother moved into Stone Oak in the past month. She has not stopped smiling! Wonderful supportive staff, welcoming residents and the food is well balance and flavorful. This has been a the best experience for our mother and family. Thank you - Stone Oak Retirement Community.

When my mother moved here 7 yrs ago the written promises of the website were fulfilled. No longer. The management and chefs change regularly - sometimes in 2-3 month intervals. The lobby looks dusty. The food quality has declined so badly I can’t even identify some of the glop that’s served. It smells bad and spoils quickly. There are no healthy choices like low salt, low fat or diabetic choices. Everything is frozen or out of a can. They serve tator tots and powdered potatoes multiple times a week. Nothing is actually prepared here as far as I’ve seen - it’s restaurant supply meals. The last 2 times I was here lunch was half a Hot Dog with baked beans and sauerkraut. The promise of those 24 hr a day snacks? Over the last couple yrs the ice cream machine and popcorn were broken. The juice dispenser is broken now. The coffee and hot drinks machine uses powder that gives me a headache.

Living here is truly like living on a cruise ship-three delicious meals a day, entertainment, movies in the theater, as well as valet service for your car, spacious apartments with full kitchen, not that you need it, thanks to our wonderful chefs. We have had great field trips in our bus which is also available to drive you to your medical appointments. The most recent trips were to the Columbus Art Museum for a concert with the Columbus Symphony pianist, to the Hollywood Casino, and later this week to Franklin Park Conservatory to see the orchard show. I feel like I am on vacation every day.
