My Mom has been there for over a year. Brewster Parke, Shannon, Donna and the staff are wonderful. My Mom is well taken care of and it gives me great piece of mind knowing that she’s in safe hands. Thanks to everyone there who has played a part in her care.

Brewster Park is truly miraculous. The Child’s family and all the staff members over the past 50 years have accomplished something that could only have been done under the Lord’s guidance, direction and blessing. The present staff of about a hundred-and-a-quarter wonderful people are a considerable blessing each day to the nearly 150 residents. They reach out, encourage and love us each day. The dietary crew work SO hard each day in providing us with well-chosen and wonderfully prepared meals. The activities staff exert creative and high energy to create and implement meaningful and enjoyable activities five days each week. I have only lived here for about eight months. These have been some of the most meaningful and enjoyable months I have ever spent during my senior years. Each time I drive back into the Parke after being out shopping in the area, I often say out loud We are home, Father God: Brewster Parke!

Friendly service with staff always checking on us. The room was clean with a TV and a comfortable bed. My husband had 3 good meals and I was able to join him for supper. They offer a church service on Sunday and Wednesday. The people were always friendly and ready with a smile. Service dogs are allowed to visit and they offer barber/hair stylist services when needed. Highly recommend

Mom was very happy when she was in assisted living, but after they moved her into the skilled nursing facility, she declined at a very rapid pace. If your loved one isn't aware of what's going on around them or cannot communicate, I strongly suggest choosing a facility with Memory Care Unit. There were exceptional nurses & aides that actually cared, and there were also some who were just there to collect a paycheck & hold up the desk at the nurses station & scroll on their phone. Mom either had excellent care or she was neglected. It just depended on who was working. This could really be a great place if they weeded out the lazy ones and they had people engage and interact with the dementia patients instead of letting them sit in a wheelchair and stare into space 99% of the time, which accelerates their decline significantly. They put Depends on her on day one even though she still had control of her bodily functions. PROS:I do love that they had activities/parties/concerts for the residents. Mom was always clean. I liked that the nurses would have a meeting and communicate needs, concerns, and formulate a plan. Food is actually pretty good! CONS: Little to no interaction with dementia patients. No memory care unit. Complaints aren't taken seriously or addressed by management in my experience. If your loved one doesn't have cognitive issues, I think this nursing home is a good place. If they do have cognitive challenges, I would suggest going to a facility with a Memory Care unit.

I am so thankful for Brewster Parke skilled nursing and the staff. My mom had to be admitted from home due to she was unable to care for herself and needed 24 hour care. She was unable to stand or walk in her own due to pain. She is now able to stand and ambulate with a walker thanks to therapy and all the staff that truly care about her. She has improved greatly since being here and continues to improve with the help of the staff. The administrative staff, nursing staff and therapy are wonderful.

My mother-in-law passed away about a week ago, Thanksgiving Day. The care that she received from the staff was outstanding. During her stay at Brewster Parke for 2 yrs, She was so happy. The staff always was so helpful with her daily activities. Everyone at this facility treated you like you were family. I could sleep at night knowing she was in good hands. The staff answered any questions. It was so nice to be included in your care planning. When the time came that she needed more care Hospice was suggested. We want to say thanks to the many aides, and nurses, the care planning team. The laundry and cleaning employees would come in with a smile. The day we had to admit her into the nursing home the admissions director, Lisa made this such a good experience. Thank you. Jennifer the social worker is amazing so helpful and caring. Thank you. A special thank you to Christina, DON for helping me each day when I needed a friend to sit and chat with. For being Shirley's friend when she needed one. Thank you to Caleb in dietitian for bringing Shirley a smile each day, you would take the time to say hi, you even came in on your days off for a short visit. She loved your visits. Thank you, Jason (candyman she would call you) a nurse who was with her during her last hours. Hospice had many caring people who was there for Shirley besides the care of Brewster Parke employees. Kathleen, Tina and Chaplin Steve are truly a blessing, Thank you so much for everything you had done for Shirley. So yes this is a very caring place, that have many hearts that truly care about their residents. Thank you so much once again. We love you all.
