Staff not allowed to talk to family members. Yelling to consumers if they try to get up from their chair. My mom was getting UTI because the staff wasn't taking care of her . When she was asking them to take her to the bathroom their answer was not now sit down. The UTI caused her to felt a lot and ending to ER every time. The last time she in the ER they gave her antibiotics and send her to St Michael's, Athena refused to except her and she send her back to ER. She didn't even called me to let me know, the ER called me. Thank God I was able to find another place close to my house and transfer her.

The administrator and staff of St. Michael's are fantastic; the administrator, especially, is on top of her game!! She is pleasant and consistent of what she expects from all her residents. She encourages them to strive for more (to walk, to socialize, etc.) and they thrive. St. Michael's Home is clean with a relaxed atmosphere. My brother was living alone prior to coming to St. Michael's and ordering take out food. Now, he has delicious meals prepared for him, new friends to talk to, and help with everyday needs. He is happy there and we (the family) are happy he's there. Thank you St. Michael's Home!

My father is in great hands at St. Michael's. The administrators and staff are diligent, caring, organized, and have high standards in maintaining health and safety protocol. I personally, feel like this facility is a blessing for our family and the community, and am grateful for the support of all the staff and everyone who makes it possible St. Michael's to operate. Thank you!

I wanted to thank the staff of St. Michaels for taking care of my father in his last years. The place was clean, organized and compassionate. He has been at St. Michaels pre-COVID and during COVID. The director of St. Michaels followed the guidelines and the patients did not get sick during the major lockdown. It was sad that I could not visit him during this lockdown, but this was not St. Michaels fault. My father called this place home. I was happy that I put him in a comfortable, happy environment.

I work at the Methodist Home and in the 5 years being here I have seen how Athena and all of her staff go above and beyond for all of their patients. The amount of empathy, compassion, and dedication that St. Michaels shows for there patient's is second to none and they have by far set the example of what it takes to give the best care possible! There patients become their family and it shows that family is first when it comes to St. Michaels!

My mother-in-law will be 102 later this month. She is fortunate that she resides in St. Michael's Home. The staff is caring and solicitous. The facility is extremely clean and well maintained. There is an activities program that is suitable for the elderly. She goes to the activities room daily and is well known to the staff and to the other residents. The residents eat their meals in the common dining room. The meals are both nutritious and tasty. St. Michael's has a Greek Orthodox chapel on site where church services are held. Much of the staff is bilingual in Greek (her birth tongue) and English. As she has aged, she tends to lapse into Greek when speaking even though she is fluent in English. Thus it is very congenial that she can be readily understood. Medications are given as prescribed to the residents. There is no fear of a resident forgetting to take or accidentally overdosing. There is a physician who comes to the facility weekly. The staff can arrange for off campus visits as well. Our family feels fortunate that her later years can be here.

Since the start of COVID-19, the administrator Athena and staff have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of the residents and their families. The precautions they have instilled following state regulations for COVID-19 in assisted living facilities and implementing restrictions has kept every resident there safe. Athena continues to go above and beyond during this pandemic which has not gone unnoticed. I appreciate her and the staff showing up to work during this uneasy time and prioritizing the residents safety. St. Michael's home is a very welcoming atmosphere. My mother has been a resident for 15 years and is always provided with great care and compassion. The home provides a comforting feel to the resident's by acknowledging their Greek heritage in different ways such as, providing Greek food, celebrating Greek holidays and having a Greek church on site. They provide many services for the residents such as doctors, hair dressers, arts and crafts and a community room for watching television. There are many seating options for the residents including a front patio, backyard seating area and common areas throughout the main floor. I feel at ease knowing my mother is in St. Michael's facility.

St. Michael's home has been my father's house for the past 15 years since 2005. The administrators and staff have been consistently caring, kind, respectful, and extremely hard working throughout the years on behalf of my father in meeting all his needs for daily living and joy. During the Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter holidays the cooking, decorations, and the church services create a most beautiful and spiritual atmosphere for all the residents, staff, and visitors alike. Our family is so grateful that we found St. Michael's Assisted Living , and my father has always felt like this is home away from home.

I'll start where it all starts from....Athena. Athena is the administrator of St. Michael's. She went beyond in assisting me in placing my mother in the home. The residents to her are people, not just some number. St. Michael's is extremely well maintained and clean. There is a Greek Orthodox Church as well for an area to light candles located in the home. There is a social area and a hairdresser that comes once a week. Plus a doctor's office. The staff and personnel are caring. They assist the residents in any which way they can. No need to worry about your loved get their medication as the staff assist them in given their medication. Plus, staff holds onto their medication so your loved can not overmedicate themselves. Everytime I go visit my mother, the staff knows exactly where she is and what she is doing. After I leave visiting my mother, I know that she is safe there so my mind can be at ease. St. Michael's is a home away from a home for your loved one. I highly recommend them.

Our mother has resided at St. Michael's for the past 2 1/2 years. We are very pleased with the quality of care, attention and support provided by the administration and staff. Residents are afforded the opportunity to participate in various activities, interact with each other, and attend weekly services in the chapel that is on the premises. They also benefit from numerous visits by the various Philoptochos Societies in the tri-state area. For anyone of the Greek Orthodox faith who has an elderly parent who can no longer live independently but does not require nursing home care, St. Michael's is an excellent option.

My grandgrandmother stayed at St Michaels for 5 years with Alzheimer's. Me and my family have nothing but the greatest things, everybody working there are polite and very professional. I definitely recommend it.

Any family member going through dementia can be heartbreaking. St. Michael's Home has provided a stable, loving, and professional environment for our grandpa. While he may forget a loved ones name, he is at peace in a home with church at the center, giving us in turn the solace he is in the best environment. We are so very grateful to all the staff who care for him daily.

Do not doubt it to consider taking your love one to this center when the right time comes. thank you very much

My aunt has been at St. Michaels Home for a year now. Although it is difficult to transition from independent life to a care facility, the staff at St. Michaels have been very supportive and caring in helping her adjust to her new life. The director, Athena, has set very high standards for the rest of her staff. She is a very warm and caring person and listens to the concerns of the residents and their families and is focused on their well being. As a family we feel reassured that our aunt is in a safe and caring environment.

My mother stayed at St michael's for about five years. I feel very happy and am very satisfied with the work everybody does there. I couldn't have make a better choice. Definitely recommended.
October 2019
St Michael's Home is a phenomenal facility with a professional staff. My family searched high and low before we placed Mom. No other facility in NYC metro area AND in Greece can compare to what St. Michael's offers:: Dedicated staff to the residents, marvelously clean, plenty of indoor and outdoor activities, serene environment, and a church in house that embraces and fills the residents with love and spirit. Our non Greek friends are envious. St. Michael's is a blessing to us for the opportunity it provides Mom to be in a cultural-minded setting with a meaningful purpose to her remaining years. She socializes, laughs and most importantly feels at home. The love that pours in and out must be seen with the eyes to be felt in the soul.

St. Michael"s Home is an amazing place. It has been my fathers home for the past 3 and 1/2 years. All the staff and administration go above and beyond to ensure all residents' safety and well being. Athena treats the residents as if they were her own parents/children. The facility is kept clean, the residents are treated with dignity and respect, and above all else, my father is comfortable and happy there. I would give St. Michael's more stars if I could. Thank you to all the staff for being so warm and caring to my father and my entire family.
October 2019
All the residents, administration and staff are a pleasure to work with. Working in this place is very fulfilling and gives me the sense of purpose in life especially with interacting with residents and helping them out with their daily medical needs. We have days that are busy but the administration office and staffs makes sure that they do their best to make this place a comfortable and wonderful home for all the residents.
