I have been a resident at Five Star Yonkers for 8 years, and I absolutely love it here! The programming is exceptional, thanks to Alyssa, the Recreation Director, who provides engaging activities all day long for everyone. Having lived at other senior facilities, I can confidently say that Five Star Yonkers stands out in every way. Alyssa is incredibly helpful, assisting with everything from my iPad to my TV. Rob, the new Executive Director, is also fantastic—he delivers on his promises and is very personable. I am so grateful to be here and look forward to living happily for the rest of my life. Thank you, Five Star Yonkers!

Our mom spent 7 years at 5. Starting in assisted and working her way up to independent. The last year was very difficult and she had to move back to assisted and then was able to stay in her room while on hospice. Zuie and Alyssa made an incredibly heartbreaking and onerous year bearable. Their knowledge and expertise allowed us to easily navigate the myriad of challenges my mom and family faced. If they couldn't fix it they found who could. We were grateful to have had their support while our mom declined. Despite being overworked and underpaid there was always a smile on their faces and a monumental desire to help. Thank you to all of the staff at Five Star.

The staff is accommodating and the facility is well maintained. I was told 5 years ago that a new bus would be on site to take us to activities and errands and that is not the case. The bus we have desperately needs to be replaced. Additionally while the landscaping and grounds are well maintained the wooden benches and cushions need to be replaced. 2024 Update- The new director on site has made incredible repairs and updates . He's a keeper! New buses, new exterior furniture and flowers in the garden that are gorgeous.

I have been a resident for over 7 years at 5 Star. I come from Philadelphia. I have found another family here. I especially want to thank Daniele, The Nurse, Alyssa, The Activities Director, Natalie, from Activities and Rob the E.D. for their kindness and compassion has made living here an easy adjustment. I have many friends and recently celebrated my 98th birthday! I am thankful that I made 5 Star my choice. I am busy every day with all the activities and all my new friends. Thank you 5 Star!

My husband has been a resident at 5 Star Yonkers since July 2023. He has been very well taken care of since he has arrived. He lives in the memory care neighborhood. The staff in the memory care unit go above and beyond to make sure that the residents are not only well taken care of but that all of their needs are met. The Executive Director has gone out of his way personally twice to assist my family with issues and went so far as to pick up a wheelchair my husband needed in another state. I appreciate the care and concern and I feel that my husband is safe and we feel that it is the best place he could be. They are truly 5 Star!

My Mother had been living at the 5 Star Independent Living Center for about 6 years. She had been very happy there. Recently she had to move to the Memory Care Unit, which can be a challenging transition. The staff made it just wonderful for her. She had a Birthday Celebration complete with cake, decorations, and lots of love. I need to thank everyone, but especially Latoya, the director. She planned everything, and always goes the extra mile. Alina is the activities director, and is so warm and welcoming, and plans many activities that engage the residents. And Zuie, the Social Worker has been a big help every step of the way. Highly recommend this place. They made it easy.

When I visited my aunt over the weekend, Alyssa greeted me warmly in the lobby. She introduced herself as the manager on duty, though she's usually the Program Director. Alyssa was incredibly hospitable, offering me great tips on where to eat and what to do in New York City, which was really helpful since I was new to the area. The ambiance at Five Star Yonkers is just fantastic, and my aunt loves living there. She's always joining in on activities, enjoys the food, and really values how clean everything is. A huge thank you to Alyssa and the amazing staff at Five Star Yonkers for making my visit so special.

From the moment I was hired by Lifestyle Director Alyssa, I felt valued and appreciated. Alyssa's professionalism and attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly from start to finish. She made sure I had all the support I needed and even followed up after the event. She mentioned she has been working for the company for 8 years and does it show! The entire team was friendly, grateful, and made me feel like part of the Five Star Family. The main room was transformed with various holiday themes and the result was stunning! Our family is so pleased with Five Star. It's an ideal place for our mother who is in assisted living. Each and every staff member is exceptionally warm, attentive, responsive, and genuinely caring. They go over and above to make sure her needs are met, from health and medical, to dietary (the food is both nourishing and tasty), to even technological. There is a variety of interesting and entertaining activities from which she can pick and choose. The other residents are friendly as well. The staff members are always welcoming to family members and friends when we visit. We are very grateful to Five Star for the thoughtful and kind care they give our mother.

It is not every day you celebrate your father's 100th birthday! I am so grateful for our beautiful family party that would not have happened without the incredible love, vision and attention to detail from Monica O'Brien, Alyssa Sukhraj, Erick Salazar and Joseph Malone. To say they personally went out of their way for us would be an understatement. Thank you to the entire Five Star team that worked so hard and rallied around my dad like family! It was a day we will never forget.My parents moved to the Five Star 11 years ago and my father who is now a widow has been able to seamlessly transition from Independent Living to Assisted Living on the 3rd floor. He continues to thrive and is very happy with all his wonderful friends, daily activities, art classes, delicious meals and lively social gatherings. This would all not be possible without the tremendous compassion, hard work and support from all the nurses, aides, doctors, restaurant staff, repair technicians and the entire Five Star team that harmoniously works together bringing a first class level of care to its community.

I recently visited Five Star assisted living. I have been to many assisted livings but at Five Star I experienced something unique. The staff go out of their way to make each resident feel like they are part of a caring family. The body language, the way they are spoken to is in such a warm and caring manner. The entire staff knows each resident on a first name basis or how they prefer to be called. Five Star is extremely clean with comfortable home furniture in the lounge areas. The corridors are immaculate as well. It is truly an oasis. I would recommend this community for anyone living in the Tristate area.

On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank John Hunt and the entire staff at Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers for all they did for my mom and our family. Everyone there was extremely friendly,, helpful, responsive, caring and loving. From the greeters to the kitchen and restaurant staff to the repair team to the people who cleaned the apartments and the countless others that are to many to name. In the main dining room, the food and selection were quite good. I even asked for a recipe or two from their chef. The place is kept up beautifully and I think it is the best of its kind in the area. My Mother had an excellent experience at Five Star over the last 11 years first starting out in Independent Living and then for the last several years in the Assisted Living side. My mother was very socially active and the Five Star provided a long list of events both inside and outside the facility. Its proximity to NYC and all the cultural opportunities there makes a big difference. All the nursing staff and aides are high quality. The social staff is active, friendly and on top of things. We got to know them all personally and also John Hunt the Director and they took care of us. Of course 2020 with the Pandemic was an extremely challenging year for the Five Star but they have an outstanding team and provided excellent front line support. I would strongly recommend the Five Star to anyone looking for an upscale active independent living or assisted living home.

Amazing place with both Assisted Living and Independent Living. The staff could not be friendlier and could not do enough for you especially Business Office Manager Teresa Sheocharan. After my heart attach I rehabilitated in Assisted Living for one month and then graduated to Independent living. Teresa made sure it was a smooth transition and I’ve enjoyed all my 5 Star stays including their excellent almost gourmet food. Furthermore CEO John Hunt must be commended for “keeping the train running on time” and making sure no matter what their age all the residents have a 5 Star experience.

The facility is clean, well-kept, safe, and easy to visit using public transportation. It is difficult to place a beloved family member in a facility but Five-Star became my mother's home.

Take bike path at south, lowest, edge of town across from baseball fields, there's a large sign where you go off bike trail. Wear proper hiking footwear as there is significant area on path that are steep enough with gravel & some falls rocks were quite slippery. It's beautiful.
