I was checkingy reviews. I saw a one star. That is definitely an error. I could have hit the wrong key and didn't check. I presently live here. This a good place when you're ready. You can find fault every place. Things break etc. In an apartment the same things occur. However here you just have an email sent and corrected. You don't get the bill !!!! The maintenance department is fantastic. Next up recreation. Great!!!! Places to go, weekly food shopping, indoor entertainment. Love music Zumba I can go on and on. Can't get it all in. Big plus you can come and go as you please with family friends or alone. And more.

The facility is quite impressive, well-maintained, and features a courteous staff. Residents actively participate in recreational activities, and the amenities are exceptional, particularly the expansive library and dining area. There is ample parking available, and the community is welcoming. I would recommend this place to family members that needs a home and assistance with their daily living.

I wanted to publicly thank Joel and his entire staff for all the hard work and great care that they put in for the residents each and every day. My mom was able to get a room in early June and we were so grateful! She's almost 93 years old and just needs that extra bit of care but doesn't need to be in a nursing home. The staff is welcoming and friendly and knows her by name. She participates an activities and watch his movies every night. And the fact that she now walks regularly gets exercise and eats three healthy meals a day is so helpful. Thank you so much our family truly appreciates all you are doing for our mom!

The Westchester Center has been a great experience. It is very clean and safe. The staff does an excellent job. My acute illness has actually improved. I believe it is due to the diet and lifestyle here. I did live at another assisted living facility and was in two nursing facilities. This is definitely a step up. My only wish there were more activities that were geared to my situation.

Our mom lived at The Westchester Center for 9 years and called it home. Our family knew she loved it and we were so grateful for her safety and care there. Everyone was loving and compassionate and always attentive to her needs and our requests. The intimate residence is perfect for senior living and always reminded us of a lovely boutique hotel! We are so grateful for everyone there including the leadership, aids, medical staff and residents who always offered friendship, an extra hand and spmetimes a big dose of patience! The Westchester Center Is now on the list of approved facilities for 24 hour seven day a week mobile concierge notary services. Our company has visited over 100 senior and nursing care facilities in Westchester and Rockland and this facility is absolutely five star. You absolutely would not expect the luxury hotel feel and cleanliness before you walk through the doors. We also were able to spot a few trays of food and must say that in this department it’s another five star review.

I had a monumentous task to move my mom from IL to NY, and Westchester Center helped make it go smoothly. Once I got her there, I found them to be very proactive in getting her assessed for any potential issues as well as her current needs. They seem to be very well organized and efficient, as well as very well staffed. You might think this would create a kind of business like impersonal atmosphere, but every single person I’ve met there so far has been extremely kind, compassionate, and helpful. I’m so glad we found Westchester center, it’s very special! (And it pales in comparison with o my moms old place!)

The rooms are dirty. While I was there I seen a couple of roaches and the residents are just sitting there doing nothing. Why there is no activities going on. They look sad. I spoke to one staff member and she was nice.

Our father, Edward J Yurus, was a resident of Westchester Center for Independent & Assisted Living for several years. Edward has passed and gone to heaven on November 15, 2020. We want to express our complete satisfaction and appreciation with your facility and staff. Dad was very happy at WCI&AL and was treated like royalty every day of his residency and we want to thank the entire staff for your hospitality and caring nature. You are truly what a facility of your purpose is intended to be and would be our choice if we had to do it all over again. A special thank you to the supervisory staff, aides, housekeeping staff, food services, maintenance, and pharmaceutical staff for assisting dad with all his needs. Dad had extremely poor eyesight and hearing and he was accommodated very well. As a new arrival at the Westchester Center - with the Covid 19 quarantine in effect - I was profoundly impressed and comforted by the warm reception I received here from Day One! The entire staff, operating in 'extra-effort' mode, has gone above and beyond to make me feel at home. One gesture which truly impacted my quality of life was the administration's unhesitating willingness to bring in a special bed that allowed me to rest pain free. I cannot imagine a more heartfelt demonstration that my new home goes the extra mile for its residents! I shall be expressing my gratitude for as long I live here.

Such a beautiful, welcoming, warming, homey facility . As arriving everyone was pleasant and professional. The place is so big it's a community under one roof! Doctors office, 24 hr country kitchen, sunroom, convenient store, recreation room and so much more! The young lady that took us for the tour was simply heaven sent. I couldn't be more happy with this facility.

My mother has lived at The Westchester Center for a few years now. Unfortunately she will be leaving shortly, as her health has deteriorated and she now requires a new level of care. Making the difficult decision for a loved one to live in a place of institutionalized care is never easy. Aging, in and of itself is difficult. Many people with chronic issues may not have support from their families. The Westchester is communicative, safe, and involved. Not situation is perfect, but your loved one will be safe and cared for well. I thank the administration, the staff, and the residents for the community they provided!

I arrived here in late November 2016. From the first day, I felt right at "home"! Everyone is so wonderful and I mean everyone. The entire staff works hard to ensure that we are being taken care and that all of our needs are met. What's there not to like about The Westchester Center? There are so many ways to have fun and for most of us, no two days are alike. There is always something to do that keeps me occupied. Plus, I enjoy the weekly trips to the supermarket among many different trips that are available. I would definitely recommend The Westchester Center to anyone who is looking for independent and assisted living.

Beautiful hilltop location with nice outdoor space. Lovely staff and beautiful interior. Great recreation director and caring social workers. Well located off the Saw Mill River Parkway (Palmer Rd.) with easy access to NYC and Northern Westchester.

I have had to help my elderly dad intensively over the past 6 months, and have been thru the mill,with several hospitals and rehab centers, and scores of doctors and other healthcare workers. Some places have been very good, but Finding the Westchester Center has been a godsend. Everyone working there is friendly, helpful, and professional The place is unusually well run, across the board, and communication and services are excellent. Hope this is useful.
