What a great experience I had at the Promenade of Chestnut Ridge, NY. The staff was friendly and helpful, the residents were welcoming--we had great times during sing-a-longs, bingo, group exercises to great music and just sitting together chatting. The entertainment director did a great job with plenty of movies and activities keeping the group happy. The food was delicious--even my daughter though so, and the wait staff was excellent. The staff was great and Deanna and her dog were an added enjoyment. ~~~Dolores

My Mom was needing more assistance with everyday living, and was feeling depressed more and more everyday. She needed more social stimulation being with others as she is a people person. We found everything my Mom needed and more at Promenade @ Chestnut Ridge. Deanna, Gail, Al, Nurse Lauren, and the entire staff were absolutely wonderful in helping with the transition.To me they are now family.

We were looking for a place for my father in law who was moving up north from North Carolina . After meeting with Debbie we were convinced that the Promenade was the right place for him. Debbie graciously took the time to patiently answer all of our questions. While touring the facility we noticed how the staff interacted with the senior residents. There was so much compassion shown to the residents. We liked the layout of the facility and the activity calendar. My father in law ended up going to a facility upstate in Rochester near my brother in law for numerous reasons. Had he stayed in the area Promenade would have been our choice for him.

My mother-in-law is going to be 100yrs old in 3 weeks. She was nervous living alone and dealing with aides not being dependable. We thought we would have to do a nursing home. It was a miracle to find Promenade at Chestnut Ridge and want to thank Debbie for all her help in making this happen. My mother-in-law is so excited to live feeling safe and happy in a wonderful setting. She says it is beautiful. Thank you again to all who worked hard to make this happen. God Bless you!

I was struck by the community feeling and overall sense of peace and kindness that exists in this place. Theyve stayed in touch we me regularly to offer support in any way they can as I navigate this difficult time. When the time comes, I would feel very confident in having my mother taken care of by them.

It has been hard for everyone not to allow visitors, but the staff has set up zoom calls so we could see and talk to our relative weekly. My father moved into the Promenade at the end of August. Debbie and Gayle were both extremely helpful from our initial conversation. Debbie took the time to answer all of my questions, as well as my fathers. I really liked how they included him in the process and listened to all of his questions and concerns. He has adjusted really well and we see a huge positive change in him. All of the members of the activities staff have been so helpful in finding activities that interest him. He enjoys all of the outings and has made so many new friends. We are so thankful to all of the staff at Promenade and hope my father can remain there for a long time.

Covid has been tough on everyone and especially those of us with loved ones in facilities like the Promenade. The decision to have my mom stay at the Promenade almost 2 years ago was the best decision my sister and I could have made. I am sorry to say that my mom passed away this past April due to natural causes, not Covid. Gail, Debbie and the entire team could not have been better as we know our mom was well cared for until the very end. Even after her passing, they have been so caring and considerate. It was tough enough having our mom pass and with Covid, it made it even more difficult but I dont know how the Promenade could have been more professional. We were lucky to have found the Prominade for my mom as they made he last years as pleasant as possible. Thank you to the entire staff at the Prominade, keep up the great work. I miss not being able to go see my mom and the other residents who became friends during her time at the Prominade. The Morris family

Im very grateful for my experience with Promenade at Chestnut Ridge. Debbie made the process of finding a home for my aunt stress-free. She patiently answered my many questions and had all the information waiting for me at our meeting. She was flexible in helping me find the best situation for my aunt. Both she and Gayle were upbeat and caring. In addition, the community is bright, cheery and welcoming. It feels like a family home. The community room was lively with bingo activity. The residents were engaged and happy. It was a relief to know that I found a caring home for my aunt. The community is delightful and Id highly recommend to anyone.

Placing our mom at an assisted living facility was one of the toughest decision my sister and I have ever had to make. Our mom has resided at the Promenade at Chestnut Ridge for the last 8 years. Gail Spencer, Debbie Corwin and their team are dedicated in helping the residents have a wonderful and caring lifestyle. There are always activities to do from crafts, bingo and games, the residents are always busy. The food is very good and our mom always gives the chef compliments. Every time my sister and I visit our mom, she has a smile on her face and we know we made the right decision. We highly recommend the Promenade at Chestnut Ridge to anyone looking for a place for their loved one to call home.

Promenade at Chestnut Ridge was so helpful and accommodating when we were looking to choose an assistant loving facility for my grandmother. The minute we arrived they were welcoming and happy to answer any questions. Their facility was clean and full of several areas for their residents to relax, socialize, and feel at home. Their dining room made you feel like you were in your favorite restaurant with plenty of meal options to fit your every craving. Along with several daily events that keep the residents engaged, the most popular and anticipated is the daily event of bingo in their designated bingo room! The rooms at Promenade at Chestnut Ridge are spacious and fully equipped to make the residents’ feel right at home. Promenade at Chestnut Ridge went out of their way to make sure the residents are happy, comfortable, and accommodated. This facility is a great choice for your assisted living needs.

Promenade at Chestnut Ridge often matches the client needs and I have had some very happy clients who have decided to make it their new home. The community is well run, has recently undergone a refurbishment in the common areas and has friendly staff. In particular Gail and Debbie make touring a new family a pleasure and there is never any pressure put on the family’s to make a decision. The families are provided with a lot of support to help with a successful move in.

My mother lived at the Promenade at Chestnut Ridge for 5 years and she thrived there. From the day she moved there, she loved the interaction with the other residents, all the activities/special events, and most of all the wonderful staff who took such good care of her. Everyone from the Director down to the kitchen staff went out of their way to make sure that she was happy, which she was! This is a wonderful assisted living residence and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It is in a class by itself.

We selected The Promenade for my 93 year old mother because our visit revealed how wonderful a place it was. The clientele were treated with compassion, and no one was sitting in a doorway sleeping! There was so much going on! Friday night services are definitely a positive, too. The rooms are ample and well-appointed. The decor of The Promenade is one that is "homy" and welcoming. All in all a great place for an older person.
