The Thrive of Montvale is a beautiful place high class looking place my partner Brian and I got to experience the indoor of the Thrive senior living while doing a job indoors the place looks so nice and amazing for all the senior living in there I would enjoy and love to live in a place like that when Im senior myself . Thrive is an outstanding senior living community managed by a remarkable team. The location is perfect and has a beautiful, inviting space. The physical structure is spacious and provides lovely amenities, including a large courtyard and cafe contributing to a pleasant experience. Sahar Edalati, the president, is hands on, present and reachable at all times. He is a great communicator who always keeps family informed. We were first greeted by the community relations director, Grace Johnson, who is kind, efficient, supportive and a wonderful ambassador. She and Carmen seamlessly coordinated everything for a timely move in. Grace has such warmth and is present throughout the community. The Trio memory care residents are so well cared for by a kind and compassionate staff, led by Lucy Panchoo. Lucy is an extraordinary director. She is caring, professional, intuitive, accessible and treats everyone like family. It is a comfort knowing that we are in the best and most capable hands under her supervision. Lucy is assisted by Richara Dragon, whose commitment also goes above and beyond to provide a safe and loving environment for the Trio residents. They are an impressive team of patient and experienced people, who tirelessly and respectfully care for the residents and their individual needs. I am thankful for all the shared support from the Trio family. The activities director, Jessica and coordinator, Jose, are also patient and thoughtful, while providing a wonderful living experience. They plan interesting outings, concerts and festive events, as well as innovative daily activities. Upon moving in an opera was being performed in the lovely courtyard, which contributed to a welcoming experience. Bruno provides high quality meals and special dining events, never missing the opportunity for a celebration. I cannot say enough about this safe and beautiful community and for the care provided. It is a pleasure being part of the Thrive family and for seeing our loved one continue to thrive in his new home. This is truly a unique environment.

We truly enjoyed having our dad at Thrive and will miss many of the staff and residents. My dad made many friends there, the staff is amazing, and the grounds are beautiful. I would especially like to thank Nelly, Ada, and another staff member whose name starts with M (my apologies, I cannot remember her name), along with the many aides who were so kind and caring toward my dad. I visited the facility recently for a family member, It is more like a beautiful resort, like being on vacation! I highly recommend it here to feel absolutely pampered! i have now been a resident for almost a year. I want to give a shout out to Elana and our programming team. She researches everything she does she’s compassionate she taught us so many things she has opened the doors to Art and everything she does is just wonderful and we keep saying we are so we are so thankfu that we have this kind of activities. I have never used a paintbrush except to paint walls and now I’m doing van Gogh and I can’t believe it and she just opens the doors to everyone and I must say that everyone says about that. even the short storY groups. I am loving living here. We have a book club. I feel so very fortunate to have her and live here. Thrive @ Montvale has an amazing vibe and a palpable positive energy that can only be expressed by experiencing Thrive @ Montvale firsthand. The attentive Staff seated at the desk near the front entrance greets everyone warmly. The cathedral lobby with its comfortable seating is reminiscent of an upscale ski chalet. The Coffee Bar to the right of the entrance is a great asset that especially provides the residents a place to meet regularly in a cozy casual setting and connect with other residents and visitors alike. The dining area on the lower level is a great venue for delicious meals. The apartments are well appointed and accessible. The activities, like art in the aesthetically appealing art studio with curated art classes, inspire continuous creativity amongst the participants. The library seating area is a quiet place to read anything from a newspaper to a novel. The outdoor area adjacent to the lobby is very inviting when the weather allows. The huge chessboard with its jumbo pieces looks like a lot of fun. The Hub also looks like a great spot. There’s really too many other things to list. One visual that will always stand out for me occurred when I watched a game of Senior Volleyball/Newcomb. All the players were seated in 2 teams facing each other with a net in the middle and they were hitting the balloon (instead of a typical volleyball) whenever it came near them, trying to hit it over the net onto the other side. The excitement that everyone had was electric! To me, it’s apparent that Thrive @ Montvale’s mission is to ensure that all their residents thrive! It’s truly a special place! *This review is my personal real account of my experiences while visiting a resident at Thrive @ Montvale.

We can’t speak highly enough of the Team at Thrive at Montvale. They cultivated a wonderful and warm living experience for our Mother. Her stay at Thrive was filled with good company and engaging activities that spanned lectures, arts courses, various games, field trips and religious and community events. Sahar and his team: Carmen, Bruno, Jeanette, Donna, Judy, Terri, Angela, and Marlena, all made Mom feel safe, cared for, comfortable and free to build a meaningful community with her fellow residents. The complex is absolutely beautiful and brimming with amenities, shared spaces, comfortable lounges, a cafe, a bar, in and outdoor activities (billiards, gym, Baci). The unit was new construction, thoughtfully laid out, pleasant and functional. And the overall aesthetics of Thrive are light and airy and conducive to a positive, uplifting state of mind. Everything is also meticulously well maintained and pristine, with an emphasis on hygiene. We are truly grateful for our Mother’s time at Thrive.

My grandparents just moved to Thrive and I sent a package, and the delivery men weren't great with instructions and notifications. After talking with Sahar he personally went on the search for the package, it was in a different part of Thrive and he delivered it to my grandparents door. I’ve been to Thrive on a weekly basis since March if 2025 and from what I see, this is well run, clean, caring and lively community. They have many kinds of activities for independent and assisted living, as well as memory care, activities such as games, music, and movies. The staff are very caring and I’m saying this from firsthand experience. I do the weekly drum circles and also provide entertainment sometimes with my groups. They layout of the space is beautiful- huge center courtyard, lots of surrounding trees, and an open space cafe lobby. By the way the food is fantastic!

We made the difficult decision to move my beloved Father-in-law into memory care 3 months ago.We are so thankful we found Thrive! What a wonderful facility! My Father-in-law is thriving at Thrive! My mother recently moved into the memory care unit, and I can’t say enough about the facility and staff at Thrive. It’s clean, well run and friends and family that come for pop-in visits are always impressed. Lucy, Alex, Carmen, Grace and all the aides, nurses and staff that work hard to make sure that everyone is well looked after and attended to are available for questions and assistance around the clock. I am also very impressed with the sensor system in the rooms to alert staff when a member needs assistance during the night. It’s been very helpful. Definitely recommend!

These past months were an incredible experience, all of the staff welcomed me with open arms and the residents enthusiastically jumped into the art projects. Thrive Montvale is one of the best senior assisted living facilities I've ever visited. The establishment resembles a hotel, given its vast and immaculate atmosphere. I made a Huge decision seven months ago, I transferred from everyday living to Thrive at Montvale. From day, one I have been comfortable and more than acclimated. Staff is more than supportive and engaging and the fellow residents so many have become lifelong friends already. Talk about the staff one person is especially outstanding and that is Bruno the dining room director. He makes Thrive work at its optimum, making every resident feel comfortable and welcome and providing the very best in nutrition and service. No one wants to get in the to a point in life we have to transfer to assisted or independent living, but it happens easy to most all of us and if you have to make the choice, you couldn’t make a better one than to go to Thrive At Montvale. Within two months of them being here we had to move my dad into memory care, downsize my mom into a one bedroom and just recently move my mom into memory care as well. The staff have been with us every step of the way. They have been very attentive to my dad and his needs and are also patiently working with my mom to help her acclimate. The community is new and beautiful - we often say it’s like being in a 5 star resort, and again, the staff, from Donna and Jeanette (front desk) to Grace and Carmen (leasing) to Sahar (general manager), Lucy (director of memory care) and Janice (activities director - memory care) are all fantastic. I appreciate each and every one of them immensely!!! If you’re looking for a phenomenal place for your loved one - I highly recommend Thrive at Montvale.

Tom has been so happy and engaged at Trio in Thrive! Lucy is amazing in keeping track of everyone and their needs! Janice does a great job of keeping the residents involved. The rest of the staffing Trio is friendly and accommodating to the residents needs! The rest of the staff is very friendly! Our family is very pleased with our decision to bring Tom to Thrive!

Thrive at Montvale has been the rainbow at the end of a tough storm for my dad. From the minute we walked in there in December, 2023, I couldn't believe my eyes! Not only is this place off the charts gorgeously decorated and designed, but every single staff member we have encountered has been extremely helpful to both me and my dad. Moving him to Thrive was the BEST decision we have made. The food is restaurant quality, and the servers are some of my dad's favorite people there. The outdoor play areas makes it easy for my kids to want to visit their grandpa. They love coming there too! Sahar Edelati is extremely welcoming and friendly and has taken care of things for my dad in the most loving way. Steve Louisma has been an extremely helpful person to us. When i thanked him for helping me when my da lost his phone, he replied, "That's what we do!" He is a true gem and an all around wonderful person. The ladies at the front desk have always been so friendly and helped me with numerous things over the time my dad has been there. They are such lovely people. The care team that takes care of my dad in Assisted Living are top notch. They truly care about him and have always been great to him. The ladies that run the entertainment and activities are the best! They are so creative and put together exciting activities for the residents and their families. My dad has not missed a Bingo game thd whold time he has been there! Thrive is the best senior Living facility I have ever been to. I am so proud that my dad gets to spend his golden years there! I highly reccomend Thrivd for Assisted or Independent Living. You will not regret the choice. Go see for yourself!

My mom has been in all three levels of care at Thrive. Currently, she is in memory care (Trio). We are beyond impressed and grateful for the care she is receiving. Lucy and her team have gone above and beyond to help my mom assimilate into the schedule and new way of living. My family and I receive outstanding communication and are at peace knowing our mom is loved and cared for so well. We recommend Thrive and Trio highly!

Our mother is in the Thrive Memory Care Unit - Trio. The director there and all Of her staff are remarkable. They are kind compassionate and truly take amazing care of the folks in their care. The physical space is also welcoming sort and sunlit with lots of community indoor and outdoor space just for the memory care population I would highly recommend this incredible facility.

Had to place my mother in a memory care facility. Researched and visited all. Choose Thrive at Montvale ( Trio). Been almost 2 months now and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Bright, Cheery and Clean with the absolute best staff. The director of the memory care unit, Lucy, is absolutely the best in the business! Hands on and makes everything run beautifully. Janice the activities director brings smiles to everyone’s faces all day long. This place is a bright spot in an otherwise very difficult time for my Mom and us. Thank you Thrive

The staff is caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every resident. Of course, nothing is perfect, but let’s be real, where is it ever perfect? What matters is how much they care, and here, they do. Mom has her good days and bad, but she’s surrounded by people who not only notice but respond with kindness and understanding. My parents have been at THRIVE for almost 2 years. For the first year and almost year and a half. It was mostly fine, but definitely not great. It was poorly managed, and the staff turnover was very high and in general felt disorganized.. In the last 6 months since the new Director, Sahar, came on board it’s like an entirely new experience. The staff, the services, the general vibe of the whole community has become such a wonderful place and he has hired such wonderful people to manage everything - the memory care, nursing care and the ongoing resident care. Lucy, who runs the memory care unit, is such a gift - she is such a wonderful human being and I’m so happy to know that she is there to keep an eye out for my dad. Janice, who is the memory care activities coordinator is also another gift to that group of residents. She does amazing things with them and is so involved and so caring and really gives them great activities that help them with physical and cognitive support. Upstairs, Stella with the general community is an amazing activities coordinator and is always bringing a smile to all the activities that she does with them. The space is beautiful and well-maintained.

I got a tour of this place when I stopped by randomly. I met the nurse and their site manager who were very friendly and accommodating. This place is amazingly beautiful and a true luxury. One in which I would live in! Let alone a senior!

My family member has been at Thrive for more than a year. Things had gotten so bad there we were on the verge of pulling him out and finding another place. The person in charge was arrogant and unresponsive. The staff was disengaged. But I must say there has been a remarkable turnaround in the last month or so. There is a new director, who really seems to care. There is now a full time director in the Memory Care Unit, as well as a full time nurse and an activity director. One of the employees, who was beloved by the residents and their families, was retained and promoted (Steven, the facility manager, was also kept on, making all of the families happy). The residents are now kept involved all day, seven days a week. I feel the residents are now safer and better cared for. All in all, I am very encouraged, and things are looking up.

Thrive is in a class by itself in Bergen County. It’s a beautiful, spotless community with good food, activities and amenities. Located in Montvale which is a nice town with shopping, food and activities for those who may venture out.
