Artis has welcomed our father with warmth , tolerance and a genuine interest in who is is as an individual. The director, Laureen is a strong advocate for the members and this leadership quality is carried by the staff. Our father is loved for who he is rather than being defined by the difficulties he has with dementia. We love the care staff and the program staff Sheree and Serena. The doctors are very knowledgeable and know how to manage dementias and relates challenges. To top it off, the food there is amazing.!!! Hats off to chef Jorje. ! We are SO grateful for all of you ARTIS team. Thank you !!! N

When you have to make the decision to move your loved one out of the their home, it is a difficult decision. It’s even more difficult when they suffer with memory loss. I did significant research and visited many places. Lisa and Laureen at Artis were beyond welcoming and made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. The entire staff was loving and compassionate. There is no place else I would have ever send my mom. They are truly special people and are making a difference in peoples lives everyday. I am so grateful to have crossed paths with them. Artis is a wonderful place.

Wonderful facility. My mother was very anxious when she first arrived (and so were we!) but they did everything to make her feel at home. She settled in nicely, participates in all activities and is forming new relationships. She thinks of Physical Therapy as just fun games they play and enjoys how often they integrate live music into the weekly routine. At home she was sitting in front of the TV, barely moving and missing my dad, at Artis she's involved in everything, zipping up & down the halls with her walker and forming relationships with staff and other residents. She even enjoys the meals and desserts. She very quickly thrived at Artis and it far exceeded our expectations. Their philosophy of 'meeting the resident where they live' emotionally, makes a world of difference. More importantly it's enabled her children to once again enjoy visiting her and really enjoying her company instead of struggling to also be her hands-on caregiver. - I can't tell you what a gift that has been. We are so happy that we chose Artis.

Today is my second day and I must say that I am honored to be able to work with such amazing people over at Chestnut. I had the pleasure of meeting some residents with great life stories that continue to be embraced in the Artis way!! The team welcomed me with an Artis bag full of GOODIES!!!!

One of our advisers, Rod Oshins, recently had the pleasure of visiting Artis Senior Living in Chestnut Ridge, NY and had nothing but wonderful things to say about his experience there. The care and attention provided to the residents is truly top-notch and it's clear that the staff is dedicated to providing a safe and comfortable environment for all. Rod had the opportunity to meet with the Executive Director, Laureen Kelly, and was thoroughly impressed by her warmth and compassion. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the industry and has a true passion for making a positive impact on the lives of seniors. Her leadership was quite evident throughout the community, and her commitment to excellence, inspiring. The staff is equally outstanding. From the moment Rod walked in, he was greeted with a smile and a genuine interest in the needs of our client. The care and attention that they provide to their residents is exceptional, and it's clear that they go above and beyond to make sure that everyone is comfortable and happy. We highly recommend this exceptional Memory Care community to anyone who is looking for the care and compassion their loved ones deserve. What can I say about Artis Senior Living in Chestnut Ridge? My mom has been lucky enough to be cared for there for over a year. She’s as happy as a clam, telling me every day how happy she is, how nice everyone is, and so happy that I found it for her. The staff is great, the activities are enriching and I couldn’t recommend it any more strongly. If you need a caring assisted living and memory care facility, thus is the place. The building and property beautiful and the care is exceptional. Having my mom live at Artis gives me peace of mind because I know shes being well cared for. I appreciate that they care about treating everyone as unique individuals instead of forcing everyone to do the same activities, eat the same things, and keep the same schedule. Everyone gets to do the things they like, and maintain some freedom of choice and individuality.

The staff and facilities at Artis in Chestnut Ridge are exceptional- and have provided a wonderful new home for my mother. They are attentive, positive, and professional. The Artis method is a real plus for the elderly memory care- dementia resident. There are lots of activities and opportunities to connect with others (especially critical in this COVID environment) and the staff fully understand and support the needs of their residents.
