My 5-star review comes after my mom's recent move-in experience. Frankly, I'm not sure the move could have gone better than it did. The highlights: Rebecca's utmost compassion and professionalism as our salesperson, Abby's attention to the smallest details and her dedication to adhering to my mom's care plan, Jeremy's always warm welcomes at reception, Scott's know-how and thorough maintenance knowledge, Carol's nursing accountability and follow up, D'Marie's and Elise's authenticity and care, and the array of other folks, too, who've proven to my mom and I that this move was definitely to the right place. My mom has barely been there a week, so perhaps this is only the honeymoon period. Still, I trust (and hope) that this level of care and integrity is in Mill Landing's cultural DNA and will; continue indefinitely. Caring for our elders is hard work. Big props and gratitude to everyone at Mill Landing for making an amazing initial impression. May it be a lasting one!

The Village is a beautiful residence, well maintained. There are lots of activities but they are often childish. Good movie theatre. The quality of food is generally sub par, often cold and menu is very limited. Housekeeping services are also very minimal. They empty trash , that's all they ever do in my apartment. Aides can be great or condescending. For what I pay, would expect more. Looking into moving.

Mill Landing is one of the newest and best assisted living and memory care communities in the Greater Rochester area. Capable of anywhere from basic to high level care for those with special needs our clients have enjoyed great support, service, and value. When a senior is in a crisis needing a safe new home Rebecca always responds and process applications quickly and with care!

As a current resident who’s generally well satisfied with The Village and its many amenities, i was dismayed that the hair salon cancelled all of today’s appointments (including my standing appointment) with no advance notice. My appearance on this holiday is not a good advertisement for the Village! Not a big deal in the overall scheme of things, but not consistent with their usual high standards.

To leave a loved one in the company of strangers in not an easy proposition. It is a big change for them, and a huge fear for family. Never in my mother's 6 month stay did we regret her moving into The Village at Mill Landing. The facility is beautiful. From the grounds, to the lobby, the cafe, the game room; everything was top notch. But the most important thing, the best thing, was the care my mother received. They really took care of her. Not just the basics, they went out of their way to make her stay as pleasant as possible. The ending of pretty much everybody's stay there is the same. But, her journey to that place was made all the better by the exceptional staff at Mill Landing. I can't thank them enough.

The land scape is always well kept and the inside is very nice looking and clean with a nice atmosphere. Staff is very kind and very helpful. My mother needed a place like this for added guidance and meet friends of her age. This was a good choice and a good future for her.

The care my father receives here is exceptional. The staff is capable, caring and makes every effort to ensure the residents are safe and enjoying life. My Dad keeps busy and stays fit with daily activities and exercise. The facility itself is inviting and a wonderful place for him to call home.

Our experience working with The Village at Mill Landing was exceptional. We brought our donut trailer for a visit and I was so impressed with the whole experience from start to finish. The care and thought that went into planning the special event for the residents was top notch! They went above and beyond to make it a special experience for their residents. Always very professional throughout the entire experience and the residents were super sweet too!

I was invited here to pop-up with my flower trailer Bar Fiore as a special event last Fall and had the privilege of crafting some beautiful bouquets with many staff members and members of the garden club! Let me say that I now follow along with all the events/activities at the Village at Mill Landing via social media” I am SO impressed with the level of care & creativity from the staff members, who clearly put their hearts into making this facility a true home for their residents. I really can't say enough great things about the facility as well as the staff at Mill Landing. As soon as you walk into the lobby, you can tell right away this is not your normal senior community. To say it is modern and up to date is an understatement. It really is top notch. The staff is very friendly, competent and is the glue that makes it a home. I would encourage anyone looking for an assisted living community to visit The Village at Mill Landing and see for yourself.

My Mom is at the Village at Mill Landing in memory care. I thank God every day that she is in their care. Everyone there is unbelievable!! They keep my family up to date on everything, they are so patient and kind with my Mom and all of the residents there. It's SO hard not seeing Mom during this Covid epidemic but we know she is loved and taken care of. I can't say enough, they are simply the BEST

The Village at Mill Landing has been a godsend to all of us. Mom and my brother (who is mentally challenged) moved in a year ago. The staff is so kind and loving it makes us realize we made an excellent choice in care for mom. It's obvious how much the employees love them by the way they treat and watch over both of them. They have become family to all of us! Mom has a full day of activities and socialization. She has good friends who she spends time with laughing and seeing movies together. I would like to call out a few exceptional angels that work there” Gwen at the front desk has her angel wings! Amy, always with a kind word and a big smile, Ava always making my brother feel at home, and Sandy who keeps mom's gorgeous apartment spotless, Margaret who helps with anything I need and always with a smile, Bonnie and the nursing staff is the best! I can't thank all of you enough. Big thanks to Christine for your big heart.

We are all so very pleased with Mill Landing! My Mother is being so well cared for and loved by the entire staff. Everyone has helped with this transition for the entire family. They not only care for Mom but the the emotional part for the whole family! Mom is very happy and safe...that is all we can ask for! It is always clean and fresh and the seasonal decorations are always cheerful. The family functions, music, art activities and Eldergrow are all wonderful stimulation for the residents. Thank you to the entire staff!

Christine Runs Mill Landing With Care And Has Some Rules That Some May think are Strict. She Maintains Cleanliness And Makes Sure Every Resident Is Well Cared For. If Anyone Has Any Harsh Feelings Against Her It’s Because She Has No Toleranse For People Who Don’t Comply With the Rules And Regulations That Make Mill Landing Run Smooth. Christine Is Always Seen Walking Through Mill Landing Making sure Everything Is In It’s Place. The Negitive Remarks Made Concerning Christine Were Made By Someone Who Was On A Witch Hunt To Destroy Her Character. She Has A Open Door Policy For Residents And Employees , Anyone Is Welcomed To Share Their Problems

This facility has been the perfect place for my Mom (90 yrs) who suffered a stroke 2 years ago. She started out in the Memory Care Unit. With the guidance of her medical staff and the understanding & permission of the Director & Staff of Mill Landing, we moved her a few months later to the Assistant Living side. She has flourished and adjusted well to the Assistant Living Side. My Mom is not able to do all the activities because of speech limitations & understanding but is treated and helped with respect and love each day. The staff never hesitates to contact me at any time to help in any situation that comes up in her daily living.From Christie, Margaret, Danielle, Terry ...ALL THE NURSES, Aids, Food Staff & Maintenance I highly recommend this facility. P.S. ....at one time I even reached out to The Administration of Leisure Care and they got back to me the same day with much respect & help 🙂

Our mother has been a resident at Mill Landing since it first opened 2 years ago. In her previous Independent Living situation she was very lonely and not eating properly. Since she arrived at Mill Landing, she has blossomed. She joins in most of the activities, has made good friends, and is beloved by the people who work there. The facility is beautiful, and the people both caring and professional. She has a very nice little apartment, but is seldom in it because she is too busy interacting with the staff and other residents. Mill periodically holds events that bring in the families: Holiday Bell Choir and singing choir (the residents practiced for weeks), Mother’s Day tea, weekly Ice Cream socials, and summer barbecues. On-site medical professionals mean that health questions can be addressed very quickly. We have been delighted with her care there, and we whole-heartedly recommend the facility to others.
