My brothers and I had to make the difficult decision to bring our mother home to the northeast having lived in Florida for many years. We had looked at several assisted living facilities, but from the moment we entered the lobby we felt a sense of peace and comfort that was unparalleled. We toured the facility with Alicia and had all our questions answered. When our mother arrived, they greeted her like a family member, and that has carried through every day since she arrived two months ago. The staff is loving, patient and very professional. Many of the employees are bilingual and this makes it easier for our mom to communicate her wishes. I visit several times during the week, and everyone works hard to keep the residents engaged through activities and periodic visits from musicians to professional chefs. My favorite is their chit chat sessions where they discuss current events and moments in our history that have shaped this country. Anytime I have had a concern their staff has been diligent to resolve those quickly and efficiently. Thanks to Alex, Dasani, Diane, Janice and Jessica to name a few of their dedicated staff! Promises never delivered. Our family was misguided by this facility that completely misrepresented themselves and were left deeply disappointed. They gained while he was put at risk. Once they took him it turned out to be the opposite of what they sold. Their sales people are not educated in health care. In the case of our Father, we were transparent about his Dementia and unsure what the proper place was for him. They assured us that they were familiar and had the proper structure in place to give him adequate care. They went further to say that they were building out a memory care unit which he would be perfect for. He never received the services they offered, which were PT, OT, Speech and Psych. He only received PT on a sporadic basis. They mismanaged his Meds for his first two months which we only found out during a med renewal period. They missed hygiene appointments and were late taking him to meals on several occasions. He was moved to another room due to bed bugs and left in confusion alone in the unfamiliar room for hours at a time resulting a face first fall whereby he was hospitalized after suffering a bad black eye and cut to the bridge of his nose. The Aides were completely untrained to handle full care and in fact took video publicly ridiculing and chastising him. Our Dad suffered injuries, malnourishment and setbacks, which was devastating for our family. No one there took accountability. Instead they pressed us to get him out, which we were looking to and finally able to do. Unless they truly dedicate themselves to being nothing but a sales job, your cared one will be at risk there both in health and economically.

After my beautiful wife of 62 years passed on in April I thought I could never be happy in any facility. After one week at the Esplanade I felt adjusted I knew this is the place I can live in and be happy. Theo the executive director and his team makes it all possible.

I am a business consultant and a recruiter. I look for employees that will make a difference in a companies performance and reputation. I look for knowledge, poise, graciousness and the ability to read people and situations so it will always fit the business model for success!!! When I stepped foot into the Esplanade of Palisades for my father , I was so concerned about moving him into a place that wasn't around the corner. I was concerned that he wouldn't be cared for or that he wouldn't be comfortable with his surroundings. In 1 weeks time all my concerns faded thanks to Shavon I feel so incredibly lucky to have found The Esplanade and equally feel as lucky to have found Shavon. She is such a G-d send to me and my family . My father tells me that other residents feel the same exact way about her too. Also, from a business perspective she is the whole package and this facility is extremely Lucky to have her Kudos to you Shavon and kudos to whoever hired her We lost my Mother 6 months ago and feel so incredibly lucky to have found somewhere my Dad can call his home with a Guardian Angel (Shavon) under his roof Thanks so much to everyone involved as well

My Father has been living at the Esplanade close to a month. We were connected to Naina Ahmed through a referral and she and her team have done an excellent job placing and coordinating his move. Naina has been available, transparent, and completely accommodating throughout the process and stay. The on site team starting with the Executive Director, Theo and Community Outreach lead, Shavon are professional, fully hands on, and most importantly compassionate. Dad suffers from a type of Dementia called Lewy Body, which is a rare form dementia that is highly dynamic and unfortunately carries a worse prognosis than Alzheimer's. From the top down they have been so helpful and understanding with this very complex, in many instances disheartening, and difficult transition. We are grateful for the team and hopeful that Dad can continue living at this capacity whereby he can enjoy quality living for as long as possible.

My mom was a resident for the last seven months prior to her passing. The staff and management were amazing and accomodating in her final days and allowed us to bring in Hospice to her apartment to allow her to remain in the comfort of her home. She always spoke so highly of the entire staff - from the receptionist to kitchen to housekeeping and everyone in between. She loved living at The Esplanade and enjoyed the homey feel and many friends she made. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a safe and clean home for a loved one.

I toured the Esplanade at Palisades with Rita recently. She was professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming. The Esplanade had a warm and homey feeling. Residents and staff were happy and involved with one another. I look forward to the transformations that are happening, and can't wait to see the finished product.

We've been looking for the right place for a while now for Grandma,something that felt like home. New York City is such. Busy place and it was so nice to find something that's only 45 mins away. Most of the people working there have been there for a long time. This is definitely one of our top choices

My mother had many happy years at the Esplanade at Palisades, with quality, conscientious care. Then, on October 28, 2020, at the height of the pandemic, I believe the Esplanade staff exposed her to COVID by conducting a social event that involved removing her mask. That is, a wine tasting, (though a conflicting report describes it as a tea party). I believe the staff acted just as irresponsibly again on October 31, when she attended Jewish services there that allowed congregants to remove their masks to pray. Multiple residents who took part in these two gatherings contracted COVID, including seven who died - one of whom was my mother. My brothers and I hold the management of the Esplanade responsible for these tragedies by being carelessly risky. My mothers been at the Esplande for about 8 months now. It is a very comfortable facility. The grounds are pretty and well maintained. The staff treat the residents as if they were family. Of all the places we looked at, this was the nicest.

I recently toured the Esplanade at Palisades with my Mom. We joined the community for lunch in their elegant dining room and enjoyed a sumptuous meal which was beautifully prepared and presented. The residents were welcoming and the staff was so warm and friendly. The whole atmosphere was extremely pleasant and congenial. Mom had a very positive feeling when we departed and is looking forward to joining this happy and caring community. A.G.
