I have been living at Solstice Senior Living for about a year. I am quite delighted with the attention we get from every staff member but I especially want to comment about a recent trip that was offered, which was strictly voluntary, to the Buffalo-River, Lake & Canal Cruise. Now, I cannot walk without a walker, I have difficulty walking on sidewalks, walking in the supermarket and anywhere. I have fallen numerous times and only because my daughter insisted did I go. Solstice Snr. Living has it's own van with a lift, and a staff member carefully and cautiously drove it all the way to the Marina. Another staff carefully monitored our safety and comfort. When it was time to get off, they were very careful for our safety and took care to walk us one by one to the boat. It took two ramps to board and they were there behind me and holding my arm. They were attentive during the entire trip. We were given water and chips on our return trip and if that wasn't enough, lunch was waiting for us when we got back. The two staff members, Julia and Lisa are definitely professionals.

A great place for anyone liking for assisted living. The apartments are large and have plenty of storage. The dining area is more like a hotel restaurant. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the toilets are really too low. My home toilet is higher than those in these rooms. Seniors need the higher toilet for accessibility. Otherwise this is a great place and i recommend it.

Our community exemplifies what culture should be. Our management team focus’ on open communication, using company necessary policies to operate a safe building, welcomes improving areas from advisory council and gives professionalism daily. The associates work diligently to please our residents and their families. No one is ever left out. We treat each resident with respect compassion and support their personal decisions. Our culinary department makes sure that our food looks good, tastes good and helps nourish everyone including our guests, residents and associates - we all eat and enjoy it. If one of our residents orders something specific , like a hamburger without a roll , we will accommodate their request. All of our desserts are homemade and we have fruit daily or sugar-free options for our diabetic requests. Our community is clean as our three Full time housekeepers work hard six days a week to accomplish their goals. If one of our residents deny or cancel our housekeeping weekly tasks it is again their choice. Our vibrant life , activities department , has received countless accolades for excellence in satisfaction surveys! Scheduled trips, guest speakers, live entertainment, art class, various fun games and weekly happy hours top the list. Something to please everyone’s taste and abilities. It’s an honor to serve our deserving seniors.

My sister Gail had a stroke approximately 2 years ago. We were looking for a community that could accommodate her needs with aphasia. We were very lucky to find Solstice at East Amherst close to our home in Lockport. She has been here over a year now. I have absolutely zero complaints. Excellent staff, food, management . I would rank it a 5 star. Doesn't get any better than this!

Recently my father got ill and needed constant support. The workers at Solstice were so accommodating to our needs and assisted us with everything to make this transition better. I can't thank them enough for all they are doing and did.

Thank you for helping your residents be safe during the blizzard storm last weekend. We saw your pictures and heard how much help the staff was for your residents. The staff management continue to amaze. We are impressed. We really like that only good dependable staff are allowed to work there. Staff that are not dedicated nor respectful are asked to leave. Keeping that promise to your residents is why this place maintain our peace of mind. Keep amazing us and thank you again.

I would highly recommend Solstice for senior assisted living. First, and foremost, the staff is amazing. From the dining staff to the executive director, [Name Removed], care and professionalism is abundant. It can sometimes be a difficult move for a loved one to leave their home when assisted living is necessary. [Name Removed] quickly eased our concerns, answering all of our questions, she even joined us for lunch, making us feel right at home. They are always welcoming and available. The facility itself is clean and bright. It is not as large as some other senior communities, which can feel overwhelming. At Solstice it’s easy to feel a part of the community. Solstice Amherst definitely deserves a 5+ star rating!

I have never worked with a team that goes as far above and beyond in everything that they do as much as the team here at Solstice East Amherst does. The entire staff does everything in their power to keep spirits up and make residents feel as at home as possible while making sure everything gets accomplished and runs smoothly. No matter what is going on outside the walls of this community, it is guaranteed that the atmosphere within is always going to be one of comfort, joy, and fun and that is due to the lovely people who call this community home, their loved ones, and those who work here.

I am most happy living here at Solstice and being with the people Ive met in the last 2.5 years. We have fun activities and the VA is close and they will come and pick you up and bring you back home to Solstice. Everyone here is very pleasant and accommodating!

My father is a resident here and I must say that the facility is excellent and so is the staff. My father tells me often that he is very pleased to be living here. He raves about the friends hes made and how friendly, caring and helpful the staff can be. I cant wait to move in here myself when the time is right!

My husband and I are impressed with this community. Our step grandfather hasnt been seen this happy since our step gram passed. Everyone is as friendly as the sales manager promised. He told us how good the food is. He likes the sandwiches and chocolate desserts best. He used his safe button one evening by mistake so their EMTs responded without making him feel badly. The main director helps in the dining room checking satisfaction and sometimes does activities connecting to the residents. The maintenance guy helps housekeepers just the same. It is super clean. On weekends, the management is on call, we saw that they rotate weekend shifts to help the other staff. Thats good. One of the waitresses sings to our step grandfather at lunch time. With great appreciation we give you all five stars.

From the moment one walks into the door at this community, you feel the vibrant positive culture in this building. Not only does the staff exhibit this, but so do the residents. From the residents helping a new resident around the building or sitting down with them at meals to make them feel they are safe and apart of our family here, to bettering our minds and bodies with our exercise programs here, to not having a particular reason, holiday to have a party and fun time- shows us, we are all here because we all care.

From Margarets commitment to leading pure excellence, to Stephanies keen ability to connect, to Katherines nice welcome, even Laura on the weekends never stops smiling. I have worked in many places that were average in services to the residents. This company is by far the best one Ive been happy to work with. The employees are very outgoing to each resident, give 100% to each one of them. We are very caring to all of their needs. If someone is not happy we go the extra mile to try and make them happy. This company and its leaders are committed . I can see daily that the growth from where it was with Montgomery compared to now with Solstice taken over, it is much much better because of the atmosphere and culture built from ouir President to our front line workers . The Executive Director promised day one growth and did exactly what she promised. . Our team has the right direction for betterment of the residents. I like to use humor with everyone and is breeds joy in our community. When someone cannot follow the rules or makes a negative comment, it only reflects them. The staff hear is always amazing and I always go beyond with my team. We love our jobs.

This is such a class A senior center I cant say enough. From the beginning they were so helpful with showing me the facility, helping me move in, taking care of all the utilities, cleaning and painting and all the prep work, orientation. I was quickly given a tour, chapel visit, welcoming committee and meeting all the other move-ins. They have a cleaning program for laundry, sheets, towels, floors, carpets; providing help from the front desk anytime, meals are great 3x, day, with little treats before Bills games. Transportation to doctors appointments is provided. No body could have anticipated COVID but their handling of the pandemic was superb, and Im a doctor. The grounds are immaculate and now that winter is here, the sidewalks and parking lots and roadways are always cleaned, sometimes twice a day depending on weather. I love it here and so do my friends. If you have a problem, they have the solution.

I am a Senior Move Manager and support our local elders and their families with downsizing. I have moved several clients in to Solstice Senior Living. The staff there is always ready and willing to lend a helping hand and I always feel like I am apart of their team when I am in their building. What I like about Solstice is that it is set back off of Transit Road, is on a beautiful piece of property, and it is always clean and well kept inside and out.

I am a 79 year old resident of Solstice Retirement Living facility in East Amherst, NY. I have lived here for 6 and 1, 2 years. My experience at Solstice has been very positive without exception. The staff is competent, friendly and always ready to give assistance I have also enjoyed getting to know many of the residence. My needs are not great. I came into Solstice after experiencing a series of falls because of low blood pressure. A pace maker implanted by my cardiologist soon ended that. Beyond that I am in good health. This leaves me free to join in the activities and even allows me to teach a Bible study class which is enjoyed by a handful of the residents. It is good to be able to make a contribution to the facility. I have recommended Solstice to friends and speak about it positively to whomever I meet.

Great place to live in. I looked at Solstice for a potential place to go to as a respite from being all alone after my beloved husband Harold passed away. My niece is staying with me,but unfortunately she decided she wanted to go home to the Philippines in November, so I knew I had to look for a place to stay for the Holiday season. Christmas would be a terrible time for me. However, we found out that the Philippines has very stringent travel restrictions for those traveling from the US, so she is postponing her going home. I am glad I took a tour of Solstice with Stephanie, who was most kind, professional, knowledgeable and passionate and proud of Solstice. The lasagna was delicious and the pasta was delicious. I would definitely live in Solstice for a months respite at a time when my niece leaves.
