A great place for my sister-in-law who had to move into assisted living. Staff is fabulous, providing excellent care and attention. As POA to my sister-in-law, I easily can contact transportation, health services, residents care coordinator- in short a supportive and friendly staff. Also connected to interim Home Health to provide additional care and with SEVA top notch primary care provider. An answer to our prayers!!

Compassionate, intelligent people manage this retirement home, but they're understaffed, and slow to respond (if they respond at all). Our sister didn't have sheets for more than a week, for just one example. In fairness, she's not the easiest person to deal with, but still...a week without sheets?!

The staff here at Avamere are wonderful, they treat you as a person not a room number. Charmaine, Venessa & Casey in Activities go out of their way to include everyone, and have activities that are not only different, but entertaining as well.

Looking for an assisted living facility is not easy and finding one that has caring, competent staff is extremely important. Lindsey, the community coordinator, was our first contact at Avamere. She is professional, excellent communicator and helpful. Lindsey not only reassured us, she also helped us with resources to help with the costs. It was the only facility willing to provide transportation without so many limits. We were able to move in our loved one's furnishings and decorate the way we wanted for our loved one. The front desk is very welcoming and friendly. The care staff are always willing to serve and support when needed. The cook came out and introduced himself to reassure us that he cares about the needs of residents. The room, building and facilities are all very well maintained. I truly feel we found a gem for our loved one. I feel comfortable and confident of the care they provide.

My mother, Carole, recently passed away after spending 12 years at Avamere Assisted Living. She began in assisted living and later moved to memory care. Throughout those years, I saw many staff members come and go, but the level of professionalism, kindness, and compassion from the Avamere team never wavered. Their care was a great comfort, especially during her later years. I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support, dedication, and love they showed Carole, making Avamere a true home for her. I toured Avamere just a few days ago and I loved it. It felt like a warm and welcoming place to live. There are plenty of activities, lots of friendly residents, and the staff were very encouraging and compassionate. I spoke with a few residents, too, and they seemed genuinely happy to be there. I really liked it.

Stay away from this home. Caregivers walk out with medical devises and nobody stops them, way understaffed, denying showers to residents, Medicine is given out by untrained staff, Room were medication is kept is way too hot, Maintenance and Housekeeping are not doing their job. Supervisors are only there to receive a paycheck but not to help when in need. People that were let go because of mistreating the residents are hired back. Not enough or not at all incontinence products. Cook has no clue how to cook for the elderly.

I can't believe how lucky our family is to have landed at Avamere. My grandma and mom live side-by-side in independent studios in the Assisted Living side, and have all their needs met and then some, and then some more. They have lived there since the summer of 2021. Last November my Aunt passed away and Kim, the Director, sat with our family for what felt like hours while we tried to tell my grandma (who is almost deaf and has early onset dementia) the heartbreaking news in a gentle way. That to me was exemplary of the quality of care my family has received at this facility. As I type this, I realize that they bring new meaning to the phrase "quality of care" for me. They are truly a caring community. And they are all, every single soul who works there, doing their very best through incredibly trying times. I am filled with gratitude for you all. Thank you for what you do.

My Mother has been there for years, through changes, and the pandemic. The care she has received has been top notch, the truly have done everything to help her as her dementia has gotten worse! This building stinks. It smells like bodily fluids and we looked at the memory care and didn't see a caregiver. Residents were just sitting in front of the tv with no one watching them. No way will I move my dad here.

Today I went to Avamere to visit my mom in the memory care unit and was met at the door by one of the caretakers who greeted me with his usual upbeat personality. He helped me take care of some things in my moms room and I watched him with other residents and was very impressed by this young man. He knew each residents needs, and I watched them smile and be at ease with him. He was thoughtful, caring, and kind and I left in peace knowing that he was taking care of my mom. You can tell when being a caretaker is someone’s calling and not just a job to them. We had a very positive experience with Avamere. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. We talked to some of the residences and every one of them loved Avamere. We thought the place was very clear and we had lunch and dinner there and the food was excellent. We are very happy with Avamere.

Nice place but poor communication and not enough staff. Had to move mom with dementia to another location after a fall, they said they called us about picking up her meds but knowone ever called us and they destroyed all of them....now moved my Mom out in Feb and still getting bills for 2 months now. Called and they say they will correct it but still getting bills.

This place has potential but is still working out the kinks. The location is good, the price is right, and the rooms are fairly large. The maintenance is not good; the maintenance engineer during the week is not very proactive or very well organized. The activities director is new and has not hit her stride yet. Many times the activities director failed to show up for planned activities. There is a obvious lack of communication between employees at the facility, which results in room cleaning being overlooked and laundry not being done. That said, if they improve the management of the facility and work to engage the residents, they could have a first class facility. I truly hope that they overcome their current growing pains.

The atmosphere is nice in the assisted living area, but if you have a loved that has dementia where they don't remember what time to eat or need extra guidance with their confusion, I would not recommend the assisted living part. There were many times my mother was forgotten to bring to eat meals. At night there is no one working to be found on the very long halls on either floor and if your loved one might come out of their room and forget how to get back they would have a very hard time finding any worker to help them. I was very sorry to have to move my mom, but I had to move her to a smaller place where there was a better ratio of workers to residents. It's sad for a place to be so beautiful and with just more training, workers, and organization could be wonderful.
