Mom has been here for almost 10 years. Started in assisted living and now in memory care. The folks here are absolutely wonderful. The team always has mom's best care and happiness in mind. I am very thankful for all this group does for my mother.

I toured Avamere just a few days ago and I loved it. It felt like a warm and welcoming place to live. There are plenty of activities, lots of friendly residents, and the staff were very encouraging and compassionate. I spoke with a few residents, too, and they seemed genuinely happy to be there. I really liked it.

Stay away from this home. Caregivers walk out with medical devises and nobody stops them, way understaffed, denying showers to residents, Medicine is given out by untrained staff, Room were medication is kept is way too hot, Maintenance and Housekeeping are not doing their job. Supervisors are only there to receive a paycheck but not to help when in need. People that were let go because of mistreating the residents are hired back. Not enough or not at all incontinence products. Cook has no clue how to cook for the elderly.

I can't believe how lucky our family is to have landed at Avamere. My grandma and mom live side-by-side in independent studios in the Assisted Living side, and have all their needs met and then some, and then some more. They have lived there since the summer of 2021. Last November my Aunt passed away and Kim, the Director, sat with our family for what felt like hours while we tried to tell my grandma (who is almost deaf and has early onset dementia) the heartbreaking news in a gentle way. That to me was exemplary of the quality of care my family has received at this facility. As I type this, I realize that they bring new meaning to the phrase "quality of care" for me. They are truly a caring community. And they are all, every single soul who works there, doing their very best through incredibly trying times. I am filled with gratitude for you all. Thank you for what you do.

Today I went to Avamere to visit my mom in the memory care unit and was met at the door by one of the caretakers who greeted me with his usual upbeat personality. He helped me take care of some things in my moms room and I watched him with other residents and was very impressed by this young man. He knew each residents needs, and I watched them smile and be at ease with him. He was thoughtful, caring, and kind and I left in peace knowing that he was taking care of my mom. You can tell when being a caretaker is someone’s calling and not just a job to them. Thank you Alex, I hope management recognizes your kind heart and commitment to treating the residents as if they were your own family.

This building stinks. It smells like bodily fluids and we looked at the memory care and didn't see a caregiver. Residents were just sitting in front of the tv with no one watching them. No way will I move my dad here.

Mom has been here for almost 8 years. We are dealing with a global workforce shortage. No one is immune. Given that, I have always felt that mom has received the best and attentive care around the clock. Most appreciative of Sue. Can't begin to tell you how often I have talked with this individual at 2am over the past decade. She is amazing. The fact that they have not had a resident die of covid speaks volumes on their attention to keeping everyone safe. Craig

My Mother has been there for years, through changes, and the pandemic. The care she has received has been top notch, the truly have done everything to help her as her dementia has gotten worse! We had a very positive experience with Avamere. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. We talked to some of the residences and every one of them loved Avamere. We thought the place was very clear and we had lunch and dinner there and the food was excellent. We are very happy with Avamere.

Thank you Sodalis San Marcos for loving on our seniors! I love our Sodalis San Marcos community and how small and quaint our home is. This gives us a chance to really get to know each and every resident and focus on their needs! Our care staff and Executive Director are above and beyond and really care for our residents!

I've had the pleasure of working with the dedicated professionals at Brookdale Senior Living here in Rio Rancho for several years as a member of the Senior Community. They have all been so compassionate with the residents of which they serve. I personally work closely with Justina and Gabriel when coordinating care for a future resident. I have been extremely impressed with their dedication to the Senior Community here in New Mexico and how they are always willing to go the extra mile for each move-in. Keep of the great work!

This place has potential but is still working out the kinks. The location is good, the price is right, and the rooms are fairly large. The maintenance is not good; the maintenance engineer during the week is not very proactive or very well organized. The activities director is new and has not hit her stride yet. Many times the activities director failed to show up for planned activities. There is a obvious lack of communication between employees at the facility, which results in room cleaning being overlooked and laundry not being done. That said, if they improve the management of the facility and work to engage the residents, they could have a first class facility. I truly hope that they overcome their current growing pains.
