I think it’s a good opportunity for socialization for seniors, many people with many skills and cultural background. There are a multitude of different college degrees, professions, and everyone gets along very well. Everybody helps each other and the staff is exceptional, especially the concierge.

Everybody has been very helpful since I moved in and I like that they have so many classes that I have enjoyed. I attend as many lectures and exercise classes as I can. I sit with the same group of ladies for dinner and its nice to be social with them. It was important for me to become more social because I lived alone for 9 years. On Friday afternoons they have a musical performer come in and people get up and dance, which I love. I tap danced for 20 years! There is such a wide variety of activities that I love. The food is good and there are many choices to choose from.

Arbor Terrace is what you are seeking in an independent living facility. First impressions are lasting impressions. The entry is warm and inviting, and the staff is kind and professional. The cleanliness of all areas is instantly noticeable. The apartments are bright and spacious. I loved the variety of food - served on white tablecloths! They offer activities, including movies, games, cultural and spiritual outings. I was impressed with the library and the invited guests, who performed musical pieces or discussed interesting topics. I loved the restored nature area directly in front of the building, where I walked regularly. A wellness center is available. At bottom, Arbor Terrace will take care of you.

Overall, this is a wonderful place for your family member. The staff are truly incredible”friendly, attentive, and highly engaging. However, the quality of the food has significantly declined, which is disappointing given the premium cost of staying here. For example, the menu listed roasted vegetables, but what was served were watery, canned vegetables with no seasoning, barely warmed. The pasta was overly oily and nearly inedible. It’s disheartening to see residents paying such a high price and receiving meals that feel more like cafeteria fare than the quality they deserve.

I moved to Arbor Terrace, feeling blue after the lingering death of my husband followed by a year of covid isolation. I expected little: a pleasant apartment, attractive grounds, and a grouchy, lonely existence. Instead, while life isn't perfect, I somehow find myself with a new lifestyle: daily exercise, friends, screenings of opera delights and movies, museum trips. The staff is kind. The price is reasonable. And life still (to my surprise) has something to offer.

In August of 2022, my sister was diagnosed with cancer. The symptoms of her illness made it clear that she could no longer manage living by herself in her multi-level house. After more than 60 years she was reluctant to be torn away from her community where she found much emotional support. Yet, she needed a new home that provided a safe environment and that relieved her of chores that she no longer could do. Arbor Terrace checked all the boxes for us. She was able to rent an apartment in a complex that provided two meals a day and rides to her medical appointments. Yet, it was close to her old hometown. She loved her new apartment and was proud to show it and the facilities at Arbor Terrace to the friends and relatives that visited. She raved about the warm and caring staff. She felt accepted immediately and was enthusiastic about the new friends she was making. The prospects of a new life at Arbor Terrace excited her. Unfortunately, her disease brought this new phase of her life to an end much too soon. Friends and family mourn her passing but take some solace from the joy she found from her brief stay at Arbor Terrace.

When I made the decision to move to be near my children, great grandchildren and great grandson I thought I will never find an apartment as beautiful as my condominium in Cherry Hill New Jersey. At Arbor Terrace my apartment is very light and bright and surrounded by a nature preserve, when I lookout of my large windows I see trees and wild life. I also appreciate my own washer and dryer. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Instead of worrying about meal, cleaning and shopping I take part in all the programs that are offered. We are fortunate to be so near to NY City's museums and concerts. The Arbor van drops us off at the venues with door to door service, they also provide transportation to medical appointments and shopping. How I wish that my husband was here to share this lifestyle with me.
