My review is a little lengthy, but it is important for me to share my full opinion with others who might be looking for an assisted living community for themselves or a loved one. After looking at several places, my father moved into The Bristal at Englewood a year and a half ago. The Bristal offered everything we were looking for for him: a safe and comfortable room, a staff full of trained professionals, dining services, laundry services, cleaning services, scheduled transportation services, a wellness center, entertainment, 24 hour security, the list goes on and on. Understandably, it was a bit of a rough transition for him at first but the staff at The Bristal did everything they could to help make that transition as easy as possible. My father is so happy there now! He recently had to leave for a couple of weeks due to a medical episode (not related to anything having to do with The Bristal), and he was asking me every single day when he was going to get to go back there he missed his room, his activities, the staff, and his friends there. To go from being uncomfortable at a place, to literally asking to go back there says so much about the environment and treatment he receives at The Bristal. The wellness team has been on top of his care, and they are wonderful with communicating with me; the lifestyle team makes sure that there is something to offer that every resident has interest in and gets involved with; dining services offers choices that my father enjoys, he often expresses to me how great the soup in particular is (he loves soup!); the maintenance team and the housekeeping team do an excellent job of helping my father out, and with keeping the facilities immaculate; and the people who work at the front desk are always pleasant, helpful, and kind. It gives me peace of mind to know that my father is in such a safe, caring environment and that he has support there whenever he needs it. I whole heartedly recommend The Bristal at Englewood for anyone looking to transition in to an assisted living community!

The Bristal has helped to make my Mother's (Sandy Klein) 97th Birthday party amazing. I cannot say enough about April who really went above and beyond to organize this event. She even sent me photos of serving pieces , the room set up etc.! When we walked into the room we thought we would need an hour to set up but everything was already done perfectly. She organized the other people that needed to help on Sunday which is her day off. April is an amazing person . With the sweetest personality. Thank you , Dyann Klein

A BIG WOW! Passover 2023 : Mom's first time unable to join us at her children's home due to traversing stairs etc. So, instead Reese, Head Chef and his Kitchen and Dining Room Team provided us with warm, loving and kind service in the proivate dining room. THANKSGIVING 2023! Mom was thrilled to make the reservations for us to join her on the Bristal's Family and Freind' Sunday before Turkey Day. When we got off the elevator to walk down the promenade toward the dining are, we were greeted by hostesses, dressed up quite fashionably who then led us to our 'reserved' table/. My son joined us and we were all impressed by the food--juiciest turkey I have ever had in my entire Life, all the fixings replete with cornbread stuffing, mashed potatoes homemade desserts that made this day splendid --even a salad bar feel with shrimp cocktails, grilled veggies, Ham carving station - pasta station and the conductor, once again, Reese, came out of the kitchen with a smile as wide as could be. Everything was not only delicious but -and- each staff member heralded the integrity of The Bristal from a literal 'soup to nuts' with photos being taken in front of a backdrop of fall colors. pumpkins all adding to the festive moment. Thank you Reese, Elana, Dwayne, Sharron, Shante and Nisha--and all who continue to mak each day more special for our parents and loved ones. I was so impressed that I sent the following note to compliment our family's PASSOVER experience to Tiffany Nelson CALA, CDP; Executive Director. It is obvious that professionalism is valued. 'A giant BIG WOW! As you know, my mom can get emotionally uprooted when 'change' is on the air,' but Reese came in, calmed and made a beautiful moment ever better. Reese was truly awesome. His presence in stature and attitude was a true delight. His staff and all who he referred and introduced me to for the next segment of our evening was inclusive, warm and complete with that 'down-home' generosity. From my heart, Reese and I made connection to ensure all will go smooth with our12 person party/ His out of the kitchen support helped in keeping everyone's anxiety down. Reese is Food Service Director, Chef and a "Mom Magician" - all in one! ' A BIG THANK YOU for providing so much love, care and kindness to our FIRST PASSOVER at The Bristal! Mom was BEYOND thrilled. BRAVO- to REESE , MICO + TEAM KITCHEN/ DINING ROOM ! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You helped us make a gorgeous memory.

If you need round-the-clock care for a family member, I highly recommend The Bristal at Englewood. During my mother's two-year stay, she received exceptional care from the incredible team on the 2nd floor and in the Reflections Unit. The facility is modern and well-equipped with all the amenities and services of a big hotel. Moreover, The Bristal treats its residents like family and provides excellent care. I feel grateful to have found such an outstanding facility during one of the most challenging periods in my life.

I moved my Dad into the Bristal in Dec '22 where he was quickly welcomed into the community and created a very comfortable and social life. He enjoys daily movies in the theater, chess games and loves the food. He's able to use the facility's shuttle service to get to the local shops in town and the grocery store, to get his favorite snacks. The staff has been helpful in assessing his needs and making sure he's taking his medications and staying active. The Bristal facility in Englewood is a very clean, bright and happy place. I would recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living for themselves or a loved one.
