This facility is very trustworthy and the staff in particular Mrs. Mouna Kjellander is an Angel in all shapes and form. She genuinely care for the patients as if a member of her own family and More. Not only she's knowledgeable in her caring profession but she goes the extra miles to provide the upmost professional care, in addition she spends time with her patients in a patience that is a Rare Finds. She is very kind and with an open heart in her attention to details of caring and following up to her patients needs. I moved my mother into Brandywine Assisted Living in Mahwah in mid-November. It was nerve wracking because my mother was coming straight from rehab, never going back to her home again, and I knew she would be upset. But when you walk into Brandywine for the first time you can see it's top-notch. It reminds me of a gorgeous cruise ship - everything is located right in the facility, no need to leave if you didn't want to - Restaurant, Movie Theatre, Beauty Salon, even a Bar with Happy Hour! And the staff!!! All of them are amazing and caring. It doesn't seem like a "job" to them. Marissa was outstanding walking me through every step of the process. At our first meeting she asked if I'd visited any other facilities yet. I told her I hadn't but I would be that same day. She said after seeing Brandywine first, I'd be disappointed in whatever I saw afterwards and boy was she right! Needless to say, when my mother moved in she couldn't get over how stunning and first rate the place was. Because she was coming straight from rehab she needed extra care until she got stronger and she simply raves about how sweet and caring the staff are. It's almost Christmas and she's been there for a little over a month, settled in, made friends and she says it feels like home! Thanks Marissa and Brandywine now I can relax knowing she's in good hands!!

Brandywine Assisted Living's Reflection program in Mahwah NJ is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with warmth and kindness from the staff. My mom received a literal "Red carpet" reception the day she arrived at Brandywine. The Reflection program is specifically designed for those with memory loss and it is evident that the staff is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their work. The facility itself is top-notch, with spacious and comfortable living quarters that are designed to make residents feel at home. The dining area in Reflections neighborhood is light and bright with an enormous atrium like sky light . Beautiful natural live plants adorn every space bringing the outdoors in. The food is 5 star restaurant quality with an eye for detail and presentation which is so important in memory care. The cuisine looks and smells absolutely delicious and is served restaurant style with table linens and napkins and served by a professional wait staff a butlers. The activities and programs offered by Erika and the other staff members are diverse and engaging, from arts and crafts to music therapy, daily discussions and games. But what truly sets Brandywine apart is the level of care and attention that each resident receives. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that each resident's unique needs are met and that they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I would like to personally thank Marisa, Debra, Erika, Kera and Carmen and the rest of the wonderful staff we are yet to meet and learn their names. You can tell Brandywine must be a great place to work because of the way the staff all seem to get along wonderfully with one another as well and the smiles on their faces. Overall, I would highly recommend Brandywine Assisted Living's Reflection program in Mahwah NJ to anyone looking for exceptional care for their loved one. It truly is a wonderful place that you can trust to provide the best care possible. We were lucky to find you!

Having Fun When Getting Old When I turned eighty, I suddenly found myself being alone. Not a good thing. My three adult children were scattered about, I was a recent widower and the kids took my car keys away. Strange things were happening to me all at once; Loneliness and forgetfulness top the list. While dealing with Covid I had to manage the necessities of life. For the most part I was screwing up everything I touched including meds. Navigating 28 stairs several times a day didn't help the situation. I had several falls and I could see my body getting weaker by the day. I was a wreck. Lucky for me my neighbor introduced me to Brandywine. Oddly it's only one mile from my home and would have never guessed such a wonderful complex could impact my life so much. One resident described the building as a "cruise ship without the water"! Yes, it's about the length of a football field and 3 stories high. The building sits on seven acres of tree lined property. Some say it's majestic. What counts is inside and it is absolutely fantastic. A Staff of 90 look over about 100 residents, all seniors who have private apartments. It is encouraged to have the comfort of home. Some even have dogs who get professional dog walkers. The staff is most impressive at Brandywine. They are trained to be professional and become expert in the team functions. I almost had to crawl in when I checked in last March. Now, September, I walk with a cane that is carried, for the most part, having graduated from wheelchair to walker. No more falls and my balance has returned! Here's how this happened: Food- 3 squares a day Meds- 2 times a day administered by an LPN Weight checks- once a day to monitor water build up PT- Most important! Focus, balance and muscle build up in the PT gym 3 times a week Aquacise- for one hour 2 times a week in the pool Vitals- 2 times a day by an LPN Walking- 2 times a day to build up leg muscles (There is still time for a 2pm nap and 4pm Happy Hour!) A major hidden benefit has been social interface. Age doesn't matter. Every resident has fun sharing exciting stories of their lives. I am now 85 years old and look and feel like a teenager. Thank you, Brandywine and your wonderful staff, programs, healthcare and facilities.

My father is a resident at Brandywine Senior Living Mahwah, and the staff there is wonderful. The facility looks like a five star hotel, and the Reflections Floor (Memory Care) has a very comfortable and welcoming vibe. The floor is baked with natural light (very important, as memory care residents spend the majority of their time there), and the staff up there is second to none. They care deeply about the residents, which gives me tremendous peace of mind. In addition, the executive staff was EXTREMELY helpful and patient with me as I navigated through the very difficult decision of where to place my father in care. 5 stars all around!

Marissa should be commended for her patience, empathy, professionalism and positive demeanor. Her transition to Brandywine was seamless and she has been thriving since she arrived. I looked at a number of different places, but I kept comparing all other facilities to Brandywine. My mom recently became a resident of Brandywine Living in Mahwah. I can not say enough good things about the Brandywine. My Mom moved from the home I grew up in and lived in for 62 years into Assisted Living. Needless to say that is a huge adjustment! From the moment she walked in, the day she arrived the entire staff has gone out of their way to make my Mom feel at home. Her suite is beautifully appointed and with my Mom's furnishings from home it has provided her with a safe, secure and comfortable environment. She thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to each meal, she is eating 3 square meals a day. At home she was hardly eating at all. She looks much better, and she is happier than I have seen her in years. A special thank you to Marissa, she is the best! She made the transition seamless and was a great support to me in the time leading up to my Mom's admission. Moving a loved one into Assisted Living is a big decision, Marissa and the staff at the Brandywine deserve 5 plus stars!!! many thanks to all of you!

I'm very thankful to have found Brandywine Assisted Living for my mother after looking at other facilities. Mom had dementia and the Reflections unit was a safe and caring place. The director, Mariola Koldys, made sure that all our questions were answered and all concerns met. While Mom was there, the staff was incredibly kind to her and my visiting father. Mom passed away in September. Her hospice care at Brandywine could not have been more loving and professional. Thank you to Mariola and all the staff there who helped our family through Mom's care and passing.

As expected at institutions, many meals are excellent and some are more than acceptable. In the main, I have gained weight, so I can't complain about meals. Three meals per day can be quite filling and takes some will power to keep an even keel. Not needing care, as yet, I can't comment personally, but my wife had personal care for four months and we were very satisfied. I don't attend activities except for the daily exercise class and the monthly presentation of an opera which is very good. I'm still able to play golf ( so far) so this offsets activities interest. Staff is very good and very helpful. Staff do their daily responsibilities in a professional manner. Management is very knowledgeable and top of everything. Construction and decor is exceptional. Colors of dark wood blended with gold and the many pictures give the facility a homey and comfortable touch Overall, I would highly recommend Brandywine to anyone and everyone. I liken this to be on a cruise to nowhere. Just enjoy it.

For years we worried about our grandmother on the other end of the country, who rejected our pleas to receive in home help or move to assisted living, despite her having a really difficult and limited life in her home. When she agreed a few years ago that it would be good to try an assisted living facility and decided on Brandywine at Mahwah, she was immediately impressed with the engagement programs and delicious menu options. Having already had years of experience with another close relative in an assisted living facility, I was very hands on, during her years at Brandywine. My grandmother had the best, last 4 years of her life at Brandywine, and we are forever grateful. We are discerning costumers, and I highly recommend Brandywine for your loved one's care.

My purpose in writing is to share a bit of my experience as the son of a guest at Brandywine Mahwah. I should start by sharing that I looked at many homes and assisted living environments before settling on Brandywine as it appeared to be a cut above everyone else. I should also mention that my father passed away last year and as anyone with an aging parent knows, grief and sadness take some time to pass. With that said, our experience as Brandywine as related to our father was nothing short of outstanding! And at a very delicate and sensitive time for our family, we took a great deal of comfort knowing that our father was being well cared for and being treated with dignity and respect. From all of our visits there, our strong takeaway was that this is an extremely well run facility. I would also be negligent if I do not specifically mention the Executive Director of this location, Ms Mariola Koldys. While they have almost 100 residents at this location, as the son of one such person, it often felt like Mariola was handling the situation herself. She is dedicated, hard working and a very strong leader. So, at a very difficult time for all of us and our family, the Brandywine team and Mariola were the lifeline to our father and we can never forget that. Finally, in closing, I can share that I have worked with many strong and competent leaders who run great operations - well, I am happy to share that Mariola and Brandywine leave nothing to be desired and have won my respect and admiration.

I think the place is great. The decor is like a hotel than an assisted living. Its extremely clean here! You can't find a speck of dust anywhere and it smells great. The staff as a whole is great. Meagan is like an adopted daughter to me. She helps me whenever I need anything at all or when I get upset or "lost". I don't know what I would do without her. The activities are wonderful! I think Kathe is the greatest! She is creative and her enthusiasm is contagious! We have lots of fun things to do, we go on trips and have happy hour daily! Mariola is another one that helps with anything, from a little nothing to a big problem. I have been here for almost 4 years and the food has been great and even improved since Dane started here. He is always looking to improve which I greatly appreciate! Overall I am very happy here and glad I moved here!

We selected Brandywine Living at Mahwah for Mom 2 years ago, and are SO VERY HAPPY we did because it has EXCEEDED our expectations and most importantly, BECAUSE MOM IS HAPPY THERE. At 103, my Mom was active, and lived independently in her house, 30 miles from me, until she fell at home and fractured her neck. While she was recovering in rehab, I visited 6 assisted living facilities within a 10 mile radius of my home, and decided that Brandywine would best meet her needs. Mom has been active and has enjoyed living at Brandywine for almost 2 years, and just celebrated her 105th Birthday. My comments are a result of my direct contact and observations over that timeframe. There are many things that make Brandywine special. At the top of list is a Management and Staff who are engaged and TRULY CARE about the comfort and wellbeing of the residents EVERY DAY. It starts with the Executive Director, Mariola, who is passionate about her responsibilities and works tirelessly. And, she has surrounded herself with a management group who shares her passion, and who meets regularly to discuss the general and unique needs of the residents. Together, they have created a warm, friendly, welcoming, family environment that is palpable. Next on my list of highlights is Kathe, Producer/Director of Activities extraordinaire. Her effervescent personality is uplifting, contagious, and perfect for her job. She and her staff provide an amazing breadth of widely diverse activities to keep the residents' bodies strong and their minds challenged and growing exercise classes, current events discussions, guest musicians, lecturers, parties, casino nights, day trips, etc. They work hard to know the interests, abilities, and limitations of each resident and encourage participation wherever appropriate. Throughout the year they plan special activities for RESIDENTS AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS, which are lots of fun. It's worth mentioning, that I have found that family members are welcome at Brandywine at ANY TIME. Regarding the facility itself, it is beautiful, secure, clean and well maintained. Upon arriving at the reception desk, you will be greeted warmly by Christie, Irene, Ronnie, or Brittany. You will find that pleasantness common throughout the rest of the staff, a sign that the staff has been carefully selected and well trained. Dining at Brandywine is consistent with the upscale character of the facility. The menus are broad and varied, with multiple selections, and additional alternatives, and the meals are attractive and plentiful. The dining room staff quickly learns the eating habits, preferences, and wishes of the residents, and does their part to make dining a positive experience. Lastly, it is reassuring to know that there is a menu of services that Brandywine offers, so that the needs of the resident changes, they can be activated/deactivated as the situation requires. My Mom has her medical prescriptions ordered and administered daily by the Wellness Staff and this has worked very well, under the direction of Barbara and Lisa. The staff tightly and efficiently controls the distribution, and reminds her when she forgets to get her meds. There are many other positives I could mention. Overall, Brandywine is excellent.

I have been a resident at Brandywine Senior Living at Mahwah for almost a year. I am very happy and comfortable here and I am pleased I made the decision to move here. My apartment is spacious and well-appointed, with amenities I did not find elsewhere, such as a large bathroom with handicapped-accessible fixtures. The bedroom is roomy with adequate closet space. The furniture that I brought with me works nicely in the living space. The building boasts a therapy pool, well-appointed activity rooms, a large theater, and a tap room for refreshments. Heating and cooling is comfortable and very reliable. A powerful generator backs up the power in the building in case of an outage, and provides a steady internet signal throughout the building. The dining experience is good, with tasty meals and snacks available all day. A full schedule of activities and entertainment is outlined in a daily schedule. Finally I must comment on the competent and very caring staff. They provide a high level of care day and night and assistance is always a push of a button away.

I don't know where to begin. My mother moved in on day one. She was in another assisted living facility for four years. From the day we visited the trailer before the building was built we felt the warmth from Julieanne , Nicole and Megyn. The faculty is beautiful. The food is delicious. The wellness department is top notch.Everyone who works at the Mahwah Brandywine is so kind. And I mean every single person who works there. I don't know where they find them but everyone cares about the resident. I know my mom is is a wonderful caring facility and that makes me feel great that my mom lives at Brandywine Mahwah. Bravo!!!!
