This place went from a place I enjoyed visiting to the worst facility on my run in 9 months. The rooms are disgusting! Urine and fecal stains, once never seen, are now becoming common. The visitor's bathroom in the library needs a massive cleaning. It's used by people to wash up and it is rarely cleaned. it looks like a old outhouse. The staffing is a joke! Cedar, the first floor, gets the same staff as Birch which has twice the residents! Three aides to sixty residents, unacceptable to most facilities, is now accepted at Willow Springs. Bed sores and wounds are common with the bedridden residents. Nothing is done to prevent it. Although, they use cream and powders when they are lucky enough to find it. Sometimes, it's easier to find a forty foot unicorn walking in Paris. The staff is fantastic! They do a great job but the under staffing is making their job much harder. They also do not have the basic tools of their job. They have to look for pads, sheets, towels and even gloves. It's like being a jockey with no horse. A year ago, I would have given these place four stars. Now, I give five stars to the WORKING star and, when averaged with everything else, I'll round up it up to one star. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved ones treated well!

It's an absolute disaster! Short staffed is the norm. They told us we would have the same aides each week when we visited. I would like the same aide two days in a row. My friend's favorite aide quit! The residents are in two classes. One group that can do anything. They curse, go in rooms marked as staff only and control everything. The others are the regular patients who want to rest, get healthy and enjoy themselves. My friend can't sleep because of the yelling and she's scared because she's seen residents going into her room. It's not a healthy environment. If you have a choice between Willow Springs and a cardboard box in Detroit for your loved one, pick the cardboard box. It's quieter and healthier!

I would like to single out my wifes nurse, her name is Charese and she is absolutely amazing. She is very patient and understanding and has the qualities of compassion and caring and smiling all the time to help my wife feel at ease and not nervous about anything. When we have a complaint about anything she is one step ahead and always handles it or gets it to the right person immediately. She is a constant pleasure to see every morning when I go at 8AM to visit and as she greets me Good Morning she's filling me in right away with what is going on with my wife Lorraine. My wife has multiple conditions to deal with and Charese just makes us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Please let her know how much she is loved and needed for patients like Lorraine. Jimmy Miller

I was at Willow springs for a hip replacement from a slip and fall , I was there for a couple of weeks , and I was treated and cared for by a very supportive group of doctors and nurses and especially the rehabilitation team, also went to thank the nurses aids for helping me through my recovery, my General practitioner Dr Carolan was right to recommend that I go to willow springs , I'm glad he did , I was treated what the utmost care and respect, also I would like to thank the administration department for their support in my recovery, much appreciated in helping me get back home, enjoy Labor Day weekend and be safe, God Bless !!

My name is MaryLynne Chiera. My husband Phil was a patient in your facility (room122) from April 19th till June 9th. Phil was treated with kindness and good care. I would love to name everyone who was responsible for the care. I was there everyday of his stay. My sincere thanks start with Kelly Beam who gave me the tour. She was awesome. We had a few bleeps but upon calling Kelly Dahms and guest services the couple of problems were taken care of. I'm thankful to Joe for getting back to me in a timely manner. Our weekly therapy updates were so helpful. Phil did feel he got more progress with Chris and Apollo. I feel that therapy should be done everyday but that is just my opinion. The nursing staff were comforting and helpful for me as well as Phil. Refugio and Gillian were my angels. One complaint was the food was almost always cold and the call lights weren't always answered as quickly as needed. This did result in my calling the facility but Kelly did take care of it. Thank you ALL so very much!! Elaine was the first person I met walking through the doors...She is a doll!! I could tell cleanliness is also important. I would recommend your facility. I'm sorry I can't name all the aides who cared for Phil. I say a prayer for all of you daily. Thank you again..with gratitude MaryLynne Chiera

My sister Carol had surgery then went to Willow Springs. Staff and Dr were professionals food was good she had no complaints thank you for taking good care of her from both of us!!!

The staff I've met at willow springs has been so kind, empathetic and helpful. My dad is on the memory floor and it has been such a hard time seeing his decline. The staff is always there to console us and that is very much appreciated. I'm not good with names, but the lady running the group in the "cozy corner" is so sweet and I'm happy my dad is in her company. Also the nurse manager for that floor is super helpful and kind as well. She took almost a hour out of her day (pretty sure her shift was ending as well) to speak with my mom and I about my dads care and it made us feel so much better knowing he is safe and cared for. Also, the 2 girls I have met at the front desk are great as well. Thank you to all the staff on the memory floor for taking care of my dad. It is appreciated more then I could ever express.

Nurse penny was absolutely the best 10 toes down she goes over and beyond to make your visit and the residents feel comfortable and it's always done with a smile as a nurse that is a very heavy job and she always does it with a smile thank you for all you do but entering the building the receptionist is the first you contact and every time I entered she was completely warm and welcoming thank you ladies it makes a difference everyone in activitieswas helpful as well each and everyone of you Danielle thank you for also going over and beyond ladies and cannot leave out the maintenance dept

Akeira the nurse goes above and beyond, she really takes care of my mom, and other patients. I trust my mom is in good care ever since I met her. She pulls out all the stops! Any requests or concerns that my mother has, she immediately addresses them. Akeira is very thorough, and compassionate! Thanks to Akeira I am very happy for my decision to put my mom in willow springs.
