I cannot say enough wonderful things about Willow Spring Nursing and Rehab Center. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how exceptionally clean, fresh, and well-maintained the entire facility was. Every area was spotless, comfortable, and welcoming, which gave our family tremendous peace of mind. The staff was absolutely amazing. Nurses Alan and Jackie were compassionate, attentive, professional, and always willing to answer our questions. The aides”Jackie, Pleasure, and Grace”treated my grandmother with such kindness, dignity, patience, and genuine care. They made her feel comfortable and supported, and it was clear that they truly cared about her well-being. Most of all, I want to recognize Angel, who consistently went above and beyond for my grandmother and our entire family. Angel’s compassion, dedication, and thoughtfulness made an incredible difference during her stay. She never made us feel like anything was too much trouble and always took the extra time to make sure my grandmother received the very best care possible. est care possible. I recently paid another visit to Willow Springs. My opinion has changed greatly. I saw an improvement in supplies, staffing, and food. It was amazing to listen to complaints from last week change to praise this week. Maybe five stars are possible if it continues improving.

I chose this place because of my mother's dementia and I am glad that I did. The place smells very fresh. The nurses are very attentive. And the section that my mother is in called APPLEWOOD is very much on top of my mother's needs, the head nurse PENNY IS SUCH A GODSEND, From the moment I was introduced to her. I knew that I found a head nurse that would make sure my mother was well taken care of I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who is making the hard choice of sending their parent to live. Somewhere, where unfortunately, they cannot care for themselves. Just wanted to send you an update....Penny is STILL ON POINT!! she is still a godsend, and she is STILL THE ONE TO MAKE SURE THINGS ARE STRAIGHT! especially when it comes to my mother

Staff is excellent. My mom's in memory care and the staff is very attentive, friendly and kind. Recreation staff Sharon Rykola treats the residents as if they were her family. Nurse Penny is always there to answer any questions and treats the residents in a friendly and caring matter. I would highly recommend this facility.

Why is there only 5 stars available? Willow springs is a 10 out of 10. I never wanted to go to rehab in the first place but boy o boy am I happy I chose willow springs. Trust me because I've been to other rehabs. The most important thing is the caring nature of the people taking care of me. Everyone ive spoken to is just so nice and so caring. I'm happy to be going home but thank you willow springs for helping me get there !!

I was pleased with the attentive care that I received at Willow Springs. I was there for almost 3 months recovering from a broken hip and broken arm. The physical and occupational therapists were excellent. The doctors, nurses, aides, administrators, housekeeping and recreation staff, and others did a fine job. They also were encouraging as I slowly made progress in my recovery.

From the moment we arrived, at 930pm, the staff was kind, caring and professional. They answered all of my questions and directed to the right person if needed. The administration staff is excellent. They are thorough and answered all of my questions. PT, OC and speech therapy were very kind and in first thing to explain their role. Chris, a patient aide, Ashley, a patient aide and Janet, a patient aide, have been very kind and caring. Bob now knows Chris, and looks for him each day. We appreciate the care and professionalism.

Thank you willow springs so much. The physical therapy group is the best one I have ever seen. Ecspecislly my therapist Chris bhebahs gone over and above the top to teach me the exercises I need to strengthen my leg, stretch my muscles and walk again. I’m doing things now that I was never able to do before and I attribute it all to willow springs. I would like to take the whole therapy team home with me. What a nice group of people.

I want to take the time to thank everyone at Willis springs as my mom is a patient there at this time for rehabilitation for a knee replacement. Everyone has been amazing from the time she arrived. I have to give a huge thank you to Cherrel(not sure if the spelling is correct) I showed up unannounced for a tour and she met with me and was amazing! She was so wonderful to me as she knew how difficult it was to find somewhere to put a family member. She is caring, compassionate, and is there whenever you need her, she is truly a wonderful lady and willow springs is so lucky to have her!! And to all the nurses and aides which I can’t remember there names, and the front desk staff, you are always greeted with a smile and a warm greeting when you arrive and leave, pt staff are compassionate and so patient and wonderful As well! Thank you all for taking care of my mom!!

I must be honest. I am not a fan of Willow Springs. However, I was amazed that I had my complaints explained to me by a resident! The email was clear and addressed all of my concerns one by one. If the residents take time to defend the facility, you must be doing something right!

It was difficult having my father transition to the dementia unit but all of the staff at Willow Springs especially the Applewood Unit have been simply amazing! Janaya Brown has an outstanding personality. She is compassionate, caring, and responsive to the care of my father! I am relaxed knowing my father is well cared for at this time and safe. Janaya takes care of all of his needs and keeps my mother updated on his progress. She is a great access to Willow Springs. Thank you for all you do!

Serena Hood is an outstanding CNA. I call her SuperWoman because she is attentive and helpful. She is always busy doing her job very well. I love her personality and easy going way. I am very impressed with all of the staff at Willow Springs! They are attentive and caring. The front desk staff also amazing and helpful. Kerri (Last name ??? beautiful colored hair) the Head Nurse at the nursing station is beyond professional and caring. Kelly Dahm (sp?) Head floor nurse according to my dad gave him "the best care he's had". That's not to say everyone did not do a great job, they definitely have. All of these people are doing a hard and difficult job and my family appreciates each one. I can't remember every persons name (I'm sorry) but Sherrill (sp?) As a medical equipment vendor, I have worked closely with this referral source for over 10 years. The level of care and compassion consistently demonstrated by the team is second to none. While the entire staff is exceptional, a few individuals truly stand out. Matt Wolfson, the director of social services, and Cheri Shefler, Director of Rehabilitation, are among the most dedicated professionals I have had the pleasure of working with. I highly recommend this facility.

This place went from a place I enjoyed visiting to the worst facility on my run in 9 months. The rooms are disgusting! Urine and fecal stains, once never seen, are now becoming common. The visitor's bathroom in the library needs a massive cleaning. It's used by people to wash up and it is rarely cleaned. it looks like a old outhouse. The staffing is a joke! Cedar, the first floor, gets the same staff as Birch which has twice the residents! Three aides to sixty residents, unacceptable to most facilities, is now accepted at Willow Springs. Bed sores and wounds are common with the bedridden residents. Nothing is done to prevent it. Although, they use cream and powders when they are lucky enough to find it. Sometimes, it's easier to find a forty foot unicorn walking in Paris. The staff is fantastic! They do a great job but the under staffing is making their job much harder. They also do not have the basic tools of their job. They have to look for pads, sheets, towels and even gloves. It's like being a jockey with no horse. A year ago, I would have given these place four stars. Now, I give five stars to the WORKING star and, when averaged with everything else, I'll round up it up to one star. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who wants their loved ones treated well!

It's an absolute disaster! Short staffed is the norm. They told us we would have the same aides each week when we visited. I would like the same aide two days in a row. My friend's favorite aide quit! The residents are in two classes. One group that can do anything. They curse, go in rooms marked as staff only and control everything. The others are the regular patients who want to rest, get healthy and enjoy themselves. My friend can't sleep because of the yelling and she's scared because she's seen residents going into her room. It's not a healthy environment. If you have a choice between Willow Springs and a cardboard box in Detroit for your loved one, pick the cardboard box. It's quieter and healthier!

I would like to single out my wifes nurse, her name is Charese and she is absolutely amazing. She is very patient and understanding and has the qualities of compassion and caring and smiling all the time to help my wife feel at ease and not nervous about anything. When we have a complaint about anything she is one step ahead and always handles it or gets it to the right person immediately. She is a constant pleasure to see every morning when I go at 8AM to visit and as she greets me Good Morning she's filling me in right away with what is going on with my wife Lorraine. My wife has multiple conditions to deal with and Charese just makes us feel so comfortable and relaxed. Please let her know how much she is loved and needed for patients like Lorraine. Jimmy Miller
