My mom has been at Chestnut Glen Assisted Living for 7 months. The care and atmosphere is quite good and so is the food. If you don't like what is on the daily menu, the chef will prepare you something else. The facility is clean and odor free. The staff is attentive to the residents needs.

Chestnut Glen is such a warm and inviting community. The residents are well cared for, and the place feels like home. They just finished their yearly state inspection, and had no deficiencies. Thank you for being so caring to my family!!

Chestnut Terraces are wonderful! Staff truely care and treat everyone who enters like family. Staff are trained in memory care and know how to deal with the difficulties of Alzheimer's. This place is a blessing!

My mom was here for three months. She was wheelchair bound and had to depend on staff answering a call button. There were too many times she had to wait for over half an hour for a response, so I moved her out. Food is not great. Many times it is pizza or reheated frozen patties. The residents are great but the staff isnt adequate and the director seldom on premises. The facility is clean though and there are enough public spaces for family to visit and for activities.

My mom has lived in Chestnut Terrace for 2 1/2 years and we love it. The staff love the residents and treat them as if they are a part of their own family. The atmosphere is pleasant , the rooms are clean as are all of the common areas. The staff work as a team and help with whoever/whatever is in need of attention. I would recommend Chestnut Terrace to anyone who is looking for a homelike atmosphere for their loved ones and a staff that know how to handle situations that may come up from any of the residents with Dementia/Alzheimer's.

My mother has been here going on 90 days the care she is getting from the staff has been phenomenal. The staff has continually shown genuine compassion for her and the residents, no matter their needs. This has assisted with her adjustment to her new home. Keep up the great work.

This the most wonderful assisted living facility around. My mother in law started out in Chestnut Glen and soon after went to the memory care facility Terrace 1. i think the best part about this facility is the small quaintness if it all. We have had such good memories here with her here. the staff is so welcoming and very attentive to us and RUTH. She is treated with kindness, love, and respect, and it takes a special staff to deal on a daily bases with the elderly who suffer with this horrible disease. The nursing staff as well as the aids are on top of every concern we may have with her care. The activities here are amazing as they are kept busy with daily and weekend fun and stimulating things to do. we missed the 2018 summer big bash this year but hope to attend more fun things to come in the future. ROBERT AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU GIVE US, AND ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO VISITING WITH RUTH EVAN IF IT IS NOT A GOOD DAY. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

I love Chestnut Glen. My Mother has been living there for about 18 months. The people that work there are very friendly and make me feel confident that my Mother gets any help she needs. They keep me informed on anything I need to know. My Mother is happy and it makes it easier on me knowing that.

April 29, 2016 - This review is based on nearly 3 months of experience with the facility and staff. Overall experience has been good. The facility is warm, inviting, sized appropriately and appears to be well maintained. Residential rooms are up-to-date, spacious and provide individual privacy which is a huge plus. The staff to resident ratio and attention to their needs is adequate. Numerous activities are available for all residents throughout the day and are well coordinated by the activities director. Although available, comment cannot be provided on the frequency or types of excursions as none have been experienced. The food is also good but its really an individual preference. Chestnut Glen is what we were looking for given our particular needs.

My Dad has dementia. After 3 years of him living on his own, in his own home, it became obvious, he was unable to continue on in this fashion. We brought him from WV to St. Charles to live with us. Unfortunately, things progressed rapidly while he lived with us, and we began to see we didn't have the knowledge or ability to deal with the disease. After visiting a couple other facilities, we found Chestnut. What a blessing!!! The staff took to Daddy and he took to them!! Their friendliness, caring and patience has proven to be something wonderful for my Dad. Though the disease is slowly taking him further and further away, the staff here keeps us involved and updated on how he's doing. We're welcome to visit anytime and we have!! It doesn't matter what time of day we show up, the common rooms are neat and clean, the residents smile and greet us and the staff always makes us feel at home. I have recommended Chestnut to others who have family members needing care and I'd have no hesitation placing another of my family here. The staff at Chestnut really know the residents and their families, and we are so blessed to have found this wonderful place for Daddy to call home. Thank you staff for all you do to make the residents and families feel loved and cared for.

Terrace I Memory Care has been such a blessing for our mom and our family. The atmosphere is like "home", very warm and comfortable. Its always very clean and smells clean! The residents are well cared for and its obvious the staff really cares about each of them. The staff takes the time to get to know them as individuals....knowing their history, their likes and dislikes and their special gifts and talents. They are treated with respect and love! The activities director is amazing! She always has something going on to entertain them or teach them and makes sure that everyone gets to participate in the activities. She makes every celebration perfect, ensuring that the decorations, food and entertainment is first class!! The Spring/Summer flower and vegetable garden gets the residents involved from the planting to the harvesting and sharing with local food pantries. Each resident's birthday is a personal celebration of that individual, complete with gifts , decorations and desserts. Chestnut Glen is the perfect place for our mother! I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a home for their loved ones.
