My parents have lived at Clarendale for several months now. They seem so happy to be there! They’re able to be more active than when they were in their own home. They like getting together with their friends for dinner, happy hours with music in the pub, & enjoy movies in the theater. My Dad looks forward to the weekly poker games. Mom enjoys singing in the choir, playing bingo, & doing arts & crafts. Love that Clarendale offers a variety of activities, transportation, day trips & even volunteer opportunities to residents. I appreciate the app they use to keep not only the residents up to date, but family members who want to download it. I'm able to review events, menus, & announcements. It’s also easy access to general information about Clarendale's various departments, clubs, contact information, etc. Checking it each day gives me the chance to mention a fun activity, event, or movie to my parents. Clarendale co-workers, directors & managers are wonderful!! They commonly greet residents by name & with a smile, kind word or conversation. They go out of their way to be helpful, both for my parents & to me if I have a question or concern. They get to know the residents’ likes, preferences, & interests. They enjoy hearing about each other’s families. The community is always well maintained, clean & stylish. Everything seems so well run. Co-workers help one another, as well as residents. I think a great team has been formed at Clarendale. We have had a wonderful experience from the initial tour to now—all professional & genuinely caring so far. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy.” His personal favorite is playing nickel & dime poker 3 times a week. He also enjoys the Tuesday entertainment & Friday happy hours. He’s made friends at Clarendale with other residents, their families, & of course, with the friendly & caring Clarendale staff. It warms my heart to be out & about with him within the community & to hear his friends & the coworkers greet him by name & ask how he’s doing. Clarendale leaders & coworkers are very helpful to Dad & to our family. They will make themselves available for any questions or with anything you might need. There’s always a smiling “hello” when you see them. Clarendale has been wonderful to our family. We’re there several times a week & we see how this is truly a “community.” Not only does the staff watch out for our independent loved one, but the residents watch out for one another as well. If Dad happens to be late getting to poker or to dinner, it’s not unusual for one of his friends to call him to check on him. It’s wonderful to see the friendships that develop there. If you’re considering Clarendale, I recommend you take the tour. Speak with residents when you see them on the elevator or as you’re walking on the tour; ask them how they like living there. My siblings and I moved our 90 year old father into Clarendale St. Peters several weeks ago. He does require help getting up and doing many things. We could not be happier with how things are going. The staff is amazing -- helpful, kind and professional. The building is beautiful and very clean. We all feel very confident that he is being treated like family and that is very important to us. Clarendale is a blessing to our family.

After years of dealing with his dementia, my mother and I had to get my step father into memory care quickly when his mental health suddenly took a turn for the worst. The staff at Clarendale took action and helped us get him there within days. I want to give a special thanks to their move in coordinator Tracy for her expertise, she played a big part in getting him there that fast. It was hard for us to make that decision of moving him into a facility so we pushed it to the limit but now we are thankful he is safe at Clarendale and they are doing a great job taking care of him.

Our concerns were heard and addressed, and issues were dealt with in a proactive manner. My mother went to be with her Lord and Savior several months ago, and with now having had time to look back and reflect, my family and I are very grateful that she was surrounded by warm, caring, and conscientious caregivers in her last days. I would highly recommend the Memory Care at Clarendale St. Peters.

The memory care unit at Clarendale of St. Peters is outstanding! The staff and administration are attentive, compassionate, and show a great understanding of each of the residents’ likes, needs, and life interests. One of the best decisions we made was moving my sister into the memory care unit. She is the happiest I have seen her in over a year. The memory care unit provides a strong feeling of family. Which I am sure helps the residents feel safe, important with a sense of belonging. The activities are plentiful, engaging and seem to be enjoyed by all whatever their cognitive level. The administration and staff are great at communicating and answering questions a family member may have.

I can't speak highly enough about the outstanding care and staff at Clarendale of St. Peters. The staff is consistent, caring, and treats each resident with dignity and respect. While I see several positive reviews I would like to mention several concerns since my parents moved into Clarendale just a couple of months ago. These are definitely things to consider and things that aren’t mentioned during the tour and signing process. Everyone seems to have key access to these apartments. Cleaning and maintenance people will come at all hours without notice. They will knock once…then just let themselves in….catching residents in “Independent Living” in bed, the bathroom, shower or getting dressed. This is UNACCEPTABLE. Residents are paying an extremely high monthly premium for the upscale living experience in this Senior Living community. It should be more like a RESORT lifestyle…but instead their privacy is CONSTANTLY invaded. Now let’s talk about the food. When touring they provide you with outstanding service and food. Since my parents moved in…it has only gone downhill and everyone my parents or I have talked to have complained about the same….actually warning each other what NOT to order! Unfortunately a-lot of my parent’s decision to move to Clarendale was actually based on the food. Really sad! Now….lets get real. This is NOT your old school nursing home. It is an alternative living community lifestyle with a lot of nice convenient amenities located within it….freeing up residents time to do the things they'd like to do….instead of home maintenance and yard work. My son calls this a typical “bait and switch” …from the time of a tour to the real life experience within the community. I would like to see these residents treated with the utmost respect that they have grown to deserve….in every way! Everything from their dining experience to their privacy….in their HOME!

If you are looking for top quality care for your family member, Clarendale is the place for you. After removing our mother from a horrible care facility we were fortunate enough to be able to move her into Clarendale. From the moment she/we walked in the door they were no less than amazing. The care they offered her was above and beyond. She was always busy with various activities, they danced with her, sang songs, had dogs visit (which she loved), did arts and crafts and had church service. Our mother had some difficulties and eventually entered hospice and the staff was with us through everything. The nurses who cared for our mom were amazing. They treated her like family. Our mom passed away last week, peacefully. The way the staff cared for her and us during that time is something we will always be grateful for. They treated our mom with dignity, respect and love and we cannot thank them enough.

I was so impressed! From the moment I walked in the door to the moment I walked out, it was a wonderful experience. The person at the front desk was amazing! She explained the sign in process, gave us directions to the room and seemed to know the person we were there to see. The nursing staff was so friendly and helpful. The residents were playing games, watching TV, eating a meal together. It was super clean, no bad smells. Unfortunately, the person we were there to see is in hospice but it was such a nice room, quiet, with a big window. The nurses brought in snacks and drinks. I could go on and on. This is what taking care of the elderly looks like, other facilities should take notes.

The facilities are top notch, it is a beautiful place, hands down the very best in the area. With that being said, the cost to live there reflects that fact. The frustrating part is the turnover in the staff that actually care for and interact with residents.The turnover is high but not inconsistent with the same type of facilities in the area. The frontline staff is outstanding. The number of activities provided on a daily basis is exceptional. Overall pleased and my dad has lived there for 3 years.

Visited with my mom today. I asked about the cleaning process for her room and she mentioned that it was okay. I noted with my sister that there was an accumulation of dust on her computer table and the bathroom floor was filthy. Please look into this for my mom’s health and well being. We ate lunch with my mom and we met a few of your shining stars as we saw them. Emma, Dakota and Zander were very attentive with our mom and made the time we shared at lunch very pleasant.

My Twin and I visited the Clarendale Clayton,7651 Clayton. We were greeted by Ms. Lynne Sugerman. Ms Lynne gave me and my sister a warm and cheerful welcome. As we look about the facility it was as pleasant as Ms. Lynne was. She gave us the Grand tour. As Ms .Lynn walked us through and viewed the different types of apartments and amenities that Clarendale offered, we were very impressed of how well she knew just what we wanted to see. She was not only knowledgeable of Clarendale and its amenities, but very friendly as well as patient in her approach in what our needs were. She took the time and answered all of our questions and even as we walked through she greeted and introduced us to a couple of tenants that lived there as we pass by. Clarendale has the most beautiful luxury living for Seniors. When twin and I are ready we will give Ms. Lynn a call to make some arrangement. Clarendale is by far a great place I would like to live. I have lived in an Independent Living apartment at Clarendale of St. Peters, MO, for a year and a half; and find it to be an excellent place to live independently in my retirement years. I love the freedom to come and go as I please while not having to be concerned with maintenance or repairs or upkeep of any type. Additionally, the social life is wonderful. I can chose to take part in as many in house activities such as cards, games, classes, musical programs, etc, as I wish, along with transportation being provided weekly to church and to many of the museums, concerts, and other activities we frequently attend as a group in the St. Louis area. This includes a weekend trip to Branson that I participated in just a week ago that was so well organized and fun and thoroughly enjoyed by all that took part. I am moved to finally write this review today (something I have been intending to do previously) because I just enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet, that was delicious, and enjoyed by residents, many with their families. In addition to the food being delicious and beautifully presented, the service by the kitchen/dining staff was superb. Everyone I spoke to agreed that it was a wonderful meal. Finally, I have to compliment the entire CSP staff, from the Director to the maintenance people - they are all very capable, do a good job for us, while always being kind, understanding and helpful (and fun) to be around. It is a truly a pleasure to live here and I am thankful.

We moved here about the middle of September....the food sucks... Calling it awful would be a compliment. Calling the meals "chefs selection" should be changed to " Gruel choice of the day"

As much as I liked this place when my mom was in assisted living, I thought they lacked care in Memory Care. My mom fell, broke her hip and passed away. They are a great facility but cannot handle acute care.

Families and their loved ones are encouraged to do the following before deciding on a community.
- Schedule a tour and visit the physical location to make sure community description is accurate.
- Confirm with community manager that living and services required for you or your loved one's unique needs and budget are met.
- Check with state government websites for additional provider licensing and information.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
