My mother and I toured several facilities. She did not care for the bigger senior living facilities at all. Then we toured Spencer Place. Half way through she turned to me and said "This feels like home". Three weeks later she moved in and has been there almost 5 months as I write this review. She loves everyone there and has her group of friends that keep her busy all day long. Staff is very caring, knocking on the door at meal & activity time to make sure all stay engaged. Many times when I visit, mom is too "busy" or in the middle of an activity to talk with me. That is just perfect, she is having the best time and is well taken care of by staff. I couldn't wish for more than that.

Spencer place is a wonderful community. It is a smaller facility with the friendliest staff that really knows & cares for their residents. Great food, activities, and always clean. Feels like home!

We moved our family member here about a month ago. She really didn't want to give up her home, but now that she's settled at Spencer Place, she doesn't mention anything about her home anymore. She is doing better than we could hope for here. She engages in the activities, staff seems to really care about her, she enjoys the meals. She has less anxiety and bad days than she did at home. We are really happy with the decision and she seems happier too. We toured at least 5 other facilities over the years, and this was the first one that felt right, and so it was the last tour we needed to take.

My mom moved into Spencer Place September 2018. From the first day, she enjoyed living there and adored all the staff. They treat their residents very well and really care about them. A lot of fun activities and get-togethers. Don and his wife Meg (minister and activities director) spend so much time there giving to the residents. Everyone from director, front desk, aides, salon personnel, housekeeping, volunteers, and kitchen staff show love to everyone living there.Truly wonderful people. Loved that it is a small community and everyone knows everybody. The staff consider every resident that lives there family and shows them an abundance of love and care. Sadly, my mom passed away November 2019. Every staff member there was wonderful during this period. They were constantly popping in while we were sitting with her and talking to her and kissing on her and showing her such compassion and love. We knew during those times that we couldnt be there that she was being well taken care of.I would highly recommend Spencer Place to anybody looking for a new home for their loved one. Best decision I made when transitioning from independent to assisted living.

Spencer Place staff was great in taking care of my mother during her stay. The personal touch they provided showed a caring facility where the residents came first. We will always be grateful to them. Roxie and Sharon was always there for us in their support for anything we needed. Hugs and a lending ear. They made us fell like family. The activity director Meg was great at getting Mom to interact in activities we thought she would never do. Chef Michael always made sure Mom got her favorites. I just lost my mom who was loved and cared by everyone at Spencer Place. I made a good choice to move her there and very thankful for what everyone had done for her during her residency. I would highly recommend Spencer for families looking for a top notch assisted living facility. Special props to Sabrina and all the staff that loved her and cared for her.

Spencer Place has an absolutely great staff, the environment is clean, very homey and inviting. Everyone took great care of my Mom from the Dining and Housekeeping Staff to the Nurses to the Director of Nursing to the Administrator. Everyone was kind, caring and took a real interest in not only my Mom's care but also literally every resident I saw interaction with. The menu choices and quality of the food are very good, the rooms are spacious and totally accommodate the resident's needs. I would 100% recommend Spencer Place to anyone looking for an Assisted Living for a loved one.

We had a recent tour of Spencer Place and of all of the places we have toured we felt the most comfortable and included by the staff member. We are returning to begin the process of applying for respite care and maybe full time care. Thank you for your abundant kindness.

My Dad has only been there a month but all the staff are very caring. They have managed to get my Dad involved in activities (which is not easy). Michael, the kitchen chef even arranged for a group of men to move to a new table to help with my Dads adjustment.

I disagree with Crystal Chapman. I have worked here for three years. Staff is wonderful and I have not had any problems. Management is fair and kind. They even recognize you on your birthday. We have fun here and I enjoy being around our residents. Great place to work.

Wonderful caring staff, great activities to keep the residents engaged. Good food. You never hear, it's not my job. Every staff member is willing to help in any way they can and always put the resident's needs first. That's why both my father and father-in-law have been residents there.

The care and attention these staff members give to the patients is amazing. I never feel more welcomed with my great grandmother at the facility she was at before. She is so well taken care of. We couldn't be happier.

Spencer Place has been a blessing in the care of my mother. The staff is attentive and dedicated to making the facility comfortable and welcoming to the family and residents. They provide activities to keep all involved in a kind and loving environment. I highly recommend Spencer Place as a good home for a loved one that can no longer live on their own. Spencer Place has provided us with a sense of confidence and security our mother is being well taken care of in a loving manner.

Spencer Place is a wonderful community that reminds me of my home. From the moment, I came in to this community, everyone was friendly and greeted me warmly. The staff really seemed to care and took the time to listen. Not only do they care, but they also like to keep the residents busy with many different activities. Another thing that impressed me the most about Spencer Place was the food. All of the food is delicious, and I really appreciate the variety of choices that they offer. I also really have enjoyed the courtyard area. It's nice to have a place to be outside when the weather is nice. You can't go wrong at Spencer Place.
