The Wellington Senior Living Frequently Asked Questions
What does The Wellington Senior Living cost?

Does The Wellington Senior Living take Medicare or Medicaid?

Reviews The Wellington Senior Living
November 2022
The residence wasted and clean. The atrium is big and open to space upward for several stories of the building. The food tasted was hot andvery good, but too salty to continue with because of my heart disease. The character of the place is wonderful and includes a library. Areas where one could try out the arts (writing, poetry, painting and the like and encouraged to participate. The activities director creativity and reaching out to join was amazing. The staff are friendly and willing to help when necessary. Apartments are standard except for very old appliances in the individual's kitchen. Minneapolis dislikes are few. 1.) The age of the apartment has plumbing which is old and not fixed in weeks although maintenance help initiation was prompt. 2.) The staff are overworked and insufficient to come quickly if there is an immediate serious medical problem or need occurs and did not respond to my calls by aides and nurses of which I several and response was delayed. 3.) As expected, there were deaths around me frequently but I was not able to handle it as I was younger person and the expense for my budget was higher than at other places I viewed. Although the above was true, I would solidly recommend this place to live.

Since my mother-in-law moved in she has constantly shared that she appreciates the caring staff. She looks forward to seeing the care staff each day. When I am visiting and see the care staff come in, she knows them, smiles, and they talk with each other as one does a friend and neighbor. Professional, friendly, and personal are ways I would describe the breadth of staff we have encountered sine she moved in. What a warm and welcome place to call home.

Nice and clean building I like the staff welcomed the are so nice
May 2021
My mother just moved into The Wellington in April 2021. The friendly and dynamic staff made her feel welcome from the first day. The number and variety of activities they organise is truly remarkable. The building is located in a quiet neighborhood and is very convenient to get to by bus from the airport. I recommend it very highly!
December 2020
My mother has lived at the Wellington for over 5 years. The dedicated staff has been superb during this entire coronavirus pandemic, and as a family member I feel comfortable that every possible precaution is being taken for the safety of the residents. The activities were great before they had to be restricted, but even now there are new attempts to engage the residents and check on them and help and encourage them. I wish I could give them 4 1-2 stars, but the food quality and service has been a concern until lately. The recent change in food services has been a huge positive step.

Ive been an independent living resident of this housing complex for just over a year. It is vastly better than the similar facility where I lived prior to coming here. The building itself is good, but the most dramatic differences are the attentive and friendly staff here, plus an administration that seems smart and progressive. The food from our kitchen could have been better, and has become much better after a change in staffing. Above all, I feel the Wellington is doing everything it can to protect me from the COVID 19 virus. I like it here.

So far good. The move in was okay and the transition is going okay. My loved one is settling in as best as they can. There were some issues but after talking with them they are working on fixing it.

The individual that met with us and took us on a tour of the facility was incredible. The facility is in good shape but rather large (9 floors). We are considering this option.

My friend is doing very well here at this community. It is a very nice place with kind people. The staff is taking good care of her, and her needs. It is a nice looking community, they do a good job with the cleanliness of the place. She has gotten involved in the activities they offer. It has been a good move her. Everything has worked out very well, and we are very pleased.

The staff at this community is awesome. They have offered my mother in law activities due to health she just has not participated. She does like to go to the dining hall and the food. The community is always clean and neat.
