The entire staff is amazing! From the point of entry to the dining room was a beautiful experience. Gary and Floyd in the dining room went above and beyond to exceed my expectations. I highly recommend this location to everyone.

Having lived here since The Waters opening - I have been treated very well, and rarely have a complaint. The food is generally good at dinner, where I eat 7 days a week.

Since our mom arrived in memory care ten months ago, we have raised a number of concerns about shortcomings in the promised level of care. Nearly all of them have been addressed, with a fabulous activities person added recently. Most importantly, when our mom reached her end of life, the level of care by the fourth floor nursing staff and aides, and coordination with Hospice, was out of this world. We couldn't be happier.

I really wanted to like this place. It is beautiful and I had hoped it would be a good fit for my dad with dementia. Sadly the nursing staff are overworked and communication is poor among staff. The poor communication and lack of follow through lead to a number of incidents, including a potentially lethal medication error- I had to report the facility to the state due to the poor care my dad received and medication errors that were made. This may be a decent place for someone looking for independent living but it is not good for anyone needing any support services. Read every bit of the lease closely! The Waters is outrageously priced and provides lower quality care compared to other assisted living facilities. We were required to pay for 6 weeks of rent after my dad moved out due to needing a higher level of care (memory care) with specific requirements (keeping his emotional support dog) that The Waters couldn't provide. I spent thousands on rent after he moved out for care he did not receive. I didn't realize how bad the Waters was until I toured many other facilities and ultimately moved my dad into a great memory care that met all his needs and allowed him to keep his dog. The new facility costs significantly less, the staff genuinely care and there is a sense of community. I'm so glad I moved him and so frustrated by the financial burden The Waters has imposed on our family.

My mom was at The Waters of Highland Park for over three years first in independent living and then memory care. The staff was wonderful - kind and caring. Particularly during COVID, they took care of my Mom's cat and worked hard to find ways for me to connect with my Mom. They also helped me get the vaccine early so I could see my Mom. I so appreciate all the care and thought. Their patience with Mom was great. I think there is an opportunity for The Waters corporate to better support the properties through upgrading systems and developing protocols. The staff works really hard and should have better support from Corporate. A big thank you to everyone at Highland Park.

My mom moved in here in April and she loves the place. They've been taking great care of her, lots of great activities, all of that. They have also been very good at communicating with me about anything that's going on with her. I think its definitely worth it for the peace of mind it gives both me and her.

Our experience at The Waters of Highland Park has been nothing but exceptional. The community of residents and their families are kept well informed of what transpires at the facility. The staff works hard to provide an atmosphere that is resident centered, focusing on their spiritual, physical and emotional well-being. We are fortunate to be a part of an intimate community that prides itself on the personal attention of each resident and, at the same time, makes us feel a part of their community.

I am so glad that my parents and I selected The Waters of Highland Park for their residence when they moved here from their home in Texas. The staff is A+. I have not met one person who was not competent and kind, from the concierge and the dining staff on up to the Director and everyone in between. The apartments and living areas are top rate with extra touches, like these beautiful flower boxes out front. During the limitations of the pandemic there has been a steady stream of clear communication which has been especially comforting. They couldnt be in better hands.

A shout out to the caring, attentive staff at the Waters of Highland Park. The community the staff builds among the residents, my Grammie among them, is a warm, inclusive place to live and be. Thank you for every day, every hour!

My parents moved here almost 3 years ago. The Waters is a beautiful, safe, clean, caring environment. It is a well-run facility. The staff are very dedicated to giving friendly, competent, quality care. My Dad is happy and healthy living here. Activities and events are planned for residents, keeping them active and engaged. Meals are healthy, varied, and provide a balanced diet. I feel confident and comforted that my father is in a wonderful place with a great, central location.

The care and concern for the residents shown by the staff is outstanding. My mother doesnt see well but any time she needs extra help finding or fixing something, The Front Desk or Maintenance, , Housekeeping are always happy to help out. The Chef, kitchen staff go out of their way to make foods she can eat and get them to her.I love the many celebrations and special events they put on for the families as well as the residents. The only downsides are the cost and the parking.
