I have the privilege of being the boyfriend of the Executive director Alison Williams. I just have to say that she has put her heart and soul into providing the best experience for her community. Residents speak about how great there experience is living there is. They enjoy all activities that are put on by Alison and her team. They enjoy her presence in the community and always have wonderful things to say about where they call home. At home Alison will answer the phone to help residents even after hours! They experience her and her team strive to provide seems nothing but the best! Our family and friends speak volumes about how one day we hope to find a place for ourselves just like Independence Village of Midland!

Independence Village is a well-kept and beautifully decorated community. Staff and residents are always smiling and welcoming! There are plenty of activities, the food is great, and housekeeping does an amazing job - especially in keeping the community safe and sanitized during this pandemic. Five stars!

Ive visited Independence village of midland several times and staff is always exceptionally friendly, residents are happy, and the facility is maintained so well! They have an outpatient clinic on site providing therapy services that is so convenient for the residents! Highly recommend!

My siblings and I couldnt be more happy with the way my mom and dad were welcomed into the Independence Village community. It took a few weeks for them to feel settled, but they are so much healthier and happy. The caregivers have been diligent about attending to their needs, the food has been excellent and the activities staff has been amazing and creative with providing them with fun and entertaining activities during these challenging times. Overall everyone has been so flexible and accommodating to my parents needs. What a relief to our stress to know my mom and dad are finally being taken care of in a way thats kind and respectful. Thank you to everyone at Independence Village!

This is a beautiful community, but more importantly, it is filled with beautiful people that love serving others. If you are looking for a senior living space for a family member, this is the best there is. They have continued to lead with safety during the pandemic, but still find creative ways to keep the residents connected to families, each other and the employees. They love the seniors they care for like they are family.

My mother lives at independence village in the assisted living section) of Midland. This is a good place and staff! Facilities are nice. We deeply appreciate the continual efforts of administration and staff to protect residents and keep the environment safe from the COVID virius. Staff are very friendly and caring. My mom came from her own condo so it was an adjustment for her and now she tells others that it is a good place. We are glad that she chose Independence village!

Great place! Apartments in independent living are roomy with lots of storage. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The homecare group -Laurus is great to work with. They also have a good physical, occupational therapy group onsite. Would definitely recommend Independence Village!

My 90 year old Mom has lived here for the last two and a half years, two in Independent living and the last 6 months in Assisted living. It has been a great experience, providing Mom with security, activities and good food. The staff helped us navigate the transition from Independent to Assisted living in the middle of the COVID crisis and brought us and Mom along gently, but firmly, as Moms dementia was worsening and she needed more structure in her days. While challenging, due to the isolation, for the last six months, the staff has worked very hard to fill the days with activities, including FaceTime appointments and delivery of Thanksgiving letters and (soon) Christmas gifts. All the while with no COVID cases in the community. Well done!

I believe I am one of the oldest residents here in Assisted Living. I have loved it since I have been here. They have a varied menu, activities, and daily exercise. I really appreciate the nurse and doctor availability. I enjoy the apartment size and the attached bathroom. The care staff is marvelous. The beauty shop and podiatry are wonderful. I even love that you can have your own furniture.

I am a resident at StoryPoint. I enjoy getting together for word search and cross word puzzles. I love the entertainment and the food is great the way its cooked. I feel well taken care of by the staff. I like the exercise program and can participate from my apartment. I also like when the staff sets me up on the laptop to watch the programs.

Ive worked as a receptionist here for almost three years. The staff are amazing, and the residents are the best part of working here. They make my day, and Im happy to help them in whatever way I can. Id really say the only downside is when residents pass or leave, its heartbreaking sometimes but well worth the effort you put into these relationships with them. Administration is always helpful, the leads and directors are always here for me.

Residents are wonderful and pleasant to be around. Always up for telling stories of their past. It truly makes history come to life. Employees are friendly and compassionate even on the busier days. The amount of knowledge the employees possess of the residents and their history really shows how much they enjoy being around them. The cuisine served is extraordinary. The kitchen will also work around dietary needs if need be. The housekeepers make sure the property is sparkling and sanitized from ceiling to floor. Maintenance makes sure the property is taken care of in a timely and fashionable manner. Amount of activities going on throughout the weeks are beyond compare. They have something to offer every resident no matter what their hobbies may be! The recent Havana Nights celebration really gave the culture and celebration even more allure! All in all this establishment is truly top notch. But hey, seeing is believing! Come in for a visit and watch the captivating environment sweep you away!

There is such a positive and uplifting atmosphere here. From the staff to the residents, everyone makes you feel welcome. I always see so many fun and exciting activities going on. It is always very clean and decorated very nice. If you are looking for a residence, please take a tour I dont think you will be disappointed!!!
