My parents moved to Brookhaven Manor 6 years ago and quickly became very comfortable living here. They made many new friends, and greatly enjoyed all the activities, the staff, and the management. Anytime they had an issue it was resolved promptly. Having visited them here many times over the years I highly recommend it as a place for independent senior living. The facility itself is well maintained and in excellent condition. Brookhaven also made it through Covid times without a problem due to the strong safety procedures they implemented. That alone says a lot.

Brookhaven Manor is a wonderful place to call home. 5 STAR. The team is first class! From their executive director, Wendy, to their activities director, Summer, to the entire staff-you can tell from the moment you walk through the doors that you are working with folks that truly care. As a community partner for the last 3+ years I can confidently say that the building is well run, friendly, and clean You will not be disappointment. If you live in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw county, or anywhere in Michigan for that matter, Brookhaven Manor is the place to go for senior living.

Brookhaven is a wonderful place to live. The staff is more than friendly, the food is very good, I feel a bit pampered. They have made adapting to the constraints of the virus bearable.

Well maintained with friendly staff. My Mother-in-law likes the food too (its relatively standard American fare well prepared) the apartments almost all have balconies or patios and lots of lovely flowering trees. Lots of concerts and performances as well as regular card games, movie nights etc.

My dad lives here. I feel he is safe, the facilities are acceptable, and the staff do care, but rent is expensive compared to the services provided. Focus is on profit rather than quality in some areas.PROSActivities on-site are frequent and enjoyable. Music performances, group movies, bingo and the like.NEUTRAL to NEGATIVEHousekeeping services are ok but superficial.Nursing support (fee based) seems to provide appropriate care. However, you need to be assertive to stop services when care isnt needed.CONSWeekend and holiday support is limited to dining; no staff on site.Food served is NOT appropriate for aging residents with heart disease, blood pressure issues and diabetes. Hot dogs every week. Sugary deserts every day. Minimal fresh fruits and vegetables. They could use a nutritionisthe food itself is poor quality (not good tasting, not well prepared) and portions are stingy.
