I've been at shady Grove for a lil while now, and it truly feels like home. A shout out to the new admissions ms. Andrea for consistently checking on us, We can see our menu on the TV, and many of us have noticed the positive changes, we're really happy about them. While Shady Grove isn't perfect, like any family, there's a genuine sense of love and warmth here.

I chose this center for my husband, and I would choose it again without hesitation. The therapy department is excellent, and I had a wonderful experience with the admissions process”the staff was very kind and made us feel welcome. The facility is clean, and while you can't expect restaurant-quality food in a medical center, the food service has exceeded my expectations, especially for a rehab facility. Overall, thank you, Shady Grove; our experience here has been very positive.

The rehab got my mother in law back on her feet and going again, but the nursing has a real star in their DON Brenda Efundum. She goes above and beyond to see care is rendered. Chi chi, Francis, and Alex were great. San, the nursing assistant is a kind and gentle soul that renders wonderful personal care to the residents.

Let me start by saying that the staff at this facility work extremely hard. People don't understand the pressures that come with taking care of a family member in ill health. From the time my family member arrived at the facility. The admissions team were very positive and professional in assisting with the process of admission. Also the business office were very informative and kind during the process. As time has passed the Nursing staff as well as the techs have assisted my family member in a kind and caring manner. From the nurses to the aides, everyone goes above and beyond to make sure each person feels safe, heard, and cared for. It’s comforting to know our family member is in such capable and caring hands. Thank you! P.S. Plus, the dietitian is very attentive and they made sure all my son’s allergies were known and special meals were made without gluten and dairy. The meals are delicious!! The 4 stars are for PT only! Food is worse than school lunches. Staff is non responsive. Patient asked for towels for 3 days and finally made it to the front desk who gave her a hard time. No dietician and no response to the poor quality of food. I talked to the admissions person who merely replied I will look into it...no change still gross food.

The receptionist was very friendly. Parking was convenient, and being in Rockville this place is quite accessible. Sure it's outdated but I've never been a fan of Tik Tok videos of people decorating their home with ikea furniture to try to look expensive. I'm glad this place keeps things simple and equally glad my family members that I visit there look healthy and happy to see me.

My husband was in Shady Grove Rehab following hospitalization for congestive heart failure. Suburban Hospital had released him, although he still had breathing problems and could barely walk, to home, where his primary caretaker, me, had Covid! We frantically got him placed into Shady Grove Rehab and it was the best thing we could have done. They took really good care of him. He was there for more than two weeks due to my infection. The nursing staff was very attentive and pleasant. At one point there was a mistake in recording his weight, but the staff immediately caught it and corrected it right away. He started physical therapy there which he enjoyed and it helped him build up his strength to walk again. The one thing that made me unhappy was that I couldn't get medical information his personal doctor wanted -- like his daily weight -- by phone. So my husband learned to record it right away on his phone and then sent it to me. Once I was no longer infectious and went there in person to prepare for his discharge, I had no problems getting any information I wanted. Good place!

My mum spent 3 months here. The staff were warm and that made my mum's stay alot easier and a pleasant experience for us. Every aspect of her care Nursing, PT, OT and speech was so well coordinated. The recreational team were also a joy to engage with and my mum found that quite pleasant. The post nursing care coordination by Parris and her team was also very seamless for us. Clean nursing home, friendly and pleasant front desk person. One of the nursing homes in MoCo, which has rehab for acute care as well as post acute care. Very few places have that option. One of the best rehab teams to work with. Definitely a 5 star for Rehab. Administrator Ben and DON Brenda are always on the floor talking to the residents and staff and are super helpful. Some of the best nurses at this place - John, Daisy, Natalie, Samuel and Aida..

Walking into the office first time to meet Paola, Administrator and then having opportunity to meet Parris and Annie, respectively Office Manager and Activity Director, we knew we were going to experience only the best. The culture they exemplify in terms of energy and persona, they were very welcoming and you can see they run an amazing Skilled Nursing Facility, with happy residents. Thank you to the head team and their staff for being supportive and sticking to their words in terms of delivery. They are truly about execution and being complete to finishers in terms of getting things done.

My 83 year old mother fell and broke her back. She was at this facility for 3 and a half months. She required intense physical & occupational therapy and pain management. I visited her daily, so I was very familiar with everything going on. My mother and I both thought this was an excellent place. The doctors, nursing staff, aides, physical & occupational therapists, the recreational director, social workers, and many volunteers were all fantastic!! Each of them coordinated together seamlessly to make my mother's healing progress go smoothly (both physically & emotionally.) They were always professional, but they were also quite personable, friendly, attentive, compassionate, and super encouraging. I also was pleased that it was quick and simple to get in touch with any of the employees if I needed to speak to someone. Everyone was accessible, knowledgeable, and very helpful. My mother is back at home now. The staff coordinated her transition to home beautifully. They ordered all the equipment she would need at home and set up home health aides and home PT/OT. They made everything pretty much stress free from beginning to end. We very much appreciate all of the hard work and dedication the entire staff provided to get her back to living her life again. She wrote a card to the staff and I have included a photo of it.
