My Mom is currently a resident of Windsor Place. We have been very impressed with the quality of care, the services offered and the activities available for residents to keep them happy and active. My Mom has thrived during her first month's stay. She's got improved mobility, has actively engaged in activities and has enjoyed herself. We began as was suggested to us by Sandra Christoper a 30 day trial and have since added another 30 days. It is so reassuring to see the residents with happy faces and know there's a terrific assisted living site in her home town.

My brother hurt himself during Covid. After 100 days in the hospital he needed assisted living so he could continue to recover. Although permanently disabled my brother was able to leave Windsor Place after 4 months and live independently. My family struggled to find the right assisted living facility. What we realized quickly was the assisted living home needed to be convenient and they are all expensive. We called a bunch of places and visited 3 facilities. A friend referred us to Windsor Place after they had a positive experience. Sandra showed us around their very clean and modern home. She was great answering all our questions and clearly explained the cost. So we made the decision to place my brother at Windsor Place. We give Windsor Place 5 stars. The facility is very clean, the rooms are nice and the food is good. They had weekly outings to the grocery store and area restaurants plus a nice little "happy hour". They also had daily activities available. The staff is caring and accountable. In life things happen- when we showed concern about anything they were transparent which was very reassuring. We had a very good experience at Windsor Place of Wilmington and recommend contacting Sandra to make an appointment to tour the facility.

When my mom needed more care than I would be able to provide, Windsor Place was the first and only choice for her. She has been in the memory care unit on C1 for over 2 1/2 years. Her care has been amazing. The staff goes above and beyond for the residents. She was treated like a family member and not just a resident. Sadly, she has progressed to the point of needing nursing facility 24/7 care. It was the hardest decision for me to move her but it was necessary. I will truly miss each and everyone on C1. You are all the best!! You made my mom's last few years so enjoyable. Thank you!!!!! I would highly recommend Windsor Place.

I've lived at Windsor Place for about six weeks. If I could give this wonderful community eight or ten stars, I would. I've received above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty help and support from folks at the front desk, the maintenance department, nursing, activities, housekeeping and more. When I tell them that, they all respond by saying something like this: "This is why we're here. Caring is what we do." The staff and the residents are warm and welcoming. And you know what? The food is very good!

When my family was looking for a facility for our father, we assumed that a nursing home was his only option because he is paralyzed on one side and needs assistance at several points during the day. We were so glad to learn that WIndsor Place offers a package with up to two hours of staff assistance per day, and the two hours does not have be consecutive! They wheel him to meals and anywhere else he wants to go in the building, help with medication reminders, housekeeping and laundry. Staff members are friendly and attentive and when residents call for assistance (using a pendant around their neck) they always arrive within a few minutes. The food is excellent quality and nutritious. There are many available activities each day and the opportunity to go shopping or out to lunch for those who want to join and be transported by shuttle. Sandra, the head of admissions, was an absolute gem, patiently meeting several times with us to make sure the facility could address our father's needs before we made the final decision. Highly recommend Windsor Place!

I was extremely fortunate to find Windsor Place to care for my 95 and 97 year old aunts. The daily care and activities they received was a blessing to our family. Their care from admissions through hospice was outstanding. I highly recommend this facility.

I made the tough decision to place my dad into Memory Care at Windsor. He is safe and making friends. The facility and staff are beyond excellent. They truly care. His apartment is spacious. They have great activities to keep him occupied! Upon entering it is warm and welcoming. Any requests I've had are handled efficiently and with a smile. Sandra C is a true asset to the team and Sandra, the recreation director is amazing. They all take the time to learn about each resident likes and dislikes. I highly recommend this wonderful place should your loved one need care.

After months in another facility which was less than zero stars I felt like I hit the lottery after looking at Windsor Place memory care unit for my husband. After meeting with Sandra Christopher who gave me a tour of where my husband would be living I felt like I had hit the lottery! The memory care unit is exceptionally clean, the food is very good and well presented BUT the best quality of all is that Windsor Place CARES about their residents. The CNA’s show such loving care for the residents, are right there whatever the need may be. Biggest plus for me is that I can sleep at night knowing my husband is well taken care of. Barbara Green

Chicken Cesar Salad probably isn't the first item you'd expect to read in a review of an assisted living facility. But my mother said it was the best she ever had. Food is important, correct? There are a lot of positive things to say about my mom's 3-week stay at Windsor Place and it starts with the food. Mom loved it. Pretty simple. But really the starting point should be the front desk staff. Even with a mask on, I was always greeted with a big smile and friendly "how are you." If you thought assisted living sites are kinda gloomy, with a bunch of old folks, the daily welcome dispelled those thoughts. And about the 3-week time frame. Mom moved here from NC and within seconds of moving into Windsor she made it clear she wanted to go home. It had nothing to do with Windsor. I have to give the staff credit. They did everything in their power to convince mom to stay there. But in the end, I couldn't, they couldn't, change her mind. Other positives? The Windsor Pub every day at 3 was a great idea and a social must. The nurses were helpful and every single person we dealt with was nice, including of course, Sandra, the Director of Marketing. PS, I don't like the star-rating system. I clicked 4 stars cuz no place is perfect. But for the record, make it a 4.5. Hey, a strong A- is a good thing!

My father has been a resident here for almost 3 years now and very much enjoys it. The staff is wonderful. They are very caring towards his needs as well as the entire community there. They offer numerous activities that he thoroughly enjoys and also trips to the market, cvs as well as lunches out during the week. It is always clean and has plenty of living space in his room. If you are looking for an assisted living community, I would look at Windsor Place of Wimington.

My mother spent the last 8 years of her life at Windsor Place of Wilmington Assisted Living, including her final 6 months in The Carlysle at Windsor Place (specializing in memory care and special needs). She had a wonderful experience in all regards. The staff and facilities at Windsor Place are excellent. My mother made many dear friends while she lived there. Windsor Place provides a variety of social events, local trips for shopping and restaurants, and onsite activities to keep the residents active and engaged. Likewise, the food services and meals are very well done, and the afternoon Pub provides an important opportunity for the residents to socialize, chit-chat and to connect with other residents. Windsor Place truly became "home" for my mother.

If I could give 6-stars, I would! I recently relocated my father from New York, to be closer to me, and so he could partake in a community (he was lonely in New York). Fortunately, my father is rather independent and can still come and go as he pleases (so I cannot speak to some of Windsor's care services), but he is over the moon with the level of care and attention he receives from the staff. He also very much enjoys the vibrant community...playing bingo (which I never knew he was into! haha), going on lunch outings, watching the Celtics and Red Sox with his new friends, etc. Lastly, the staff (Sandra in particular) has also been a pleasure for me to coordinate my father's care with. They are very attentive to both my father and me. Being 100% honest, the experience so far has vastly exceeded my expectations!

I was looking for a new assisted living for my mom who had broken her hip and was in rehab. I wanted a new and fresh start for my mom, and I wanted her to be safe and close to us. I called Windsor Place and was immediately impressed. Joan at the front desk was knowledgeable and professional. I asked a ton of questions and she got me the answers. I was then connected to Sandra who is amazing. She came to see my mom in rehab with her nurse Meri to give my mom an assessment. I tell you from the minute they came in I was so relieved and happy to meet them. I felt so comfortable like I knew them for years. I also interviewed other assisted livings and didnt feel this way. They answered all my questions. My mom speaks three different languages and is hard of hearing and sometimes get confused. Sandra assured me and said we can take care of her she wasnt kidding. My mom has been at Windsor Place since the end of June. She finished her rehab at Windsor in her new apartment. She looks and feels amazing. The aids are top notch. I cant begin to tell you how happy she is. She is always smiling and singing. She feels loved. The aids tell me they just love her. They give her hugs as she is walking down the hall. It feels so good that they are taking such great care of her when Im not there. If you are looking for a place for your loved one, check them out. You will be impressed. Great place!

After touring Windsor Place and seeing how friendly the staff was, I knew this was the right place for my mother. All of the caregivers, other residents and administrative staff have been going above and beyond to help my mother feel welcomed and cared for. Sandra, the director and Meri, the facility nurse, both went out of their way to find last-minute transportation for my mother when I was unable to take her to a doctors appointment. She would have missed this important post-surgical appointment if they had not done this! I am a nurse myself and really appreciate the extra effort and find a way attitude of these two ladies in particular at Windsor Place. I am so happy we chose Windsor Place for my mother!

I have an 89 year old brother who lived alone in his home. We tried for over 5 years to introduce him to independent living facilities, but he never wanted to leave his home. Knowing that he was no longer safe at home alone and after a stint in the hospital and then rehab, we moved him to Windsor Place for a 30 day trial period. Hes still there. As he says I have everything I need here as he looks around his apartment and he continuously says I dont have to worry anymore about paying my bills or cooking any meals. His apartment is cleaned weekly, laundry done and they monitor his medication (which became a must). He is taking advantage of many of the activities being offered from daily cocktail hour to exercise classes etc. He wont leave the dining room until dessert has been served (the best part of the meal). We are extremely happy with Windsor Place...the staff is fantastic, the place is always very clean and the owners show that they really care. If he needs anything at all, he just needs to push his call button! The best part is that we are all sleeping better at night knowing that he is in a safe and friendly place. Thank you Windsor Place for being part of our family!

Windsor Place is a lovely senior residence with many amenities. My mom has resided there for over two years in a lovely studio apartment complete with kitchen and a handicap accessible bath. The apartment is quite spacious and accommodates a full bedroom set and a love seat, rocker and television console. The apartment overlooks a patio and well maintained, landscaped lot. The staff are extremely friendly and competent, from the welcoming receptionists to the patient care and dining staff. There are ample activities for those who enjoy socializing. The residents at Windsor have enjoyed live concerts, holiday parties, planned outings, daily cocktail hour and so much more. Meals are served three times a day in a lovely dining room outfitted with linen tablecloths and fresh flower centerpieces. Residents order from a menu of specially prepared foods or can request something off the menu. Residents meet with the Dining Director routinely to provide feedback and to assure a variety of quality meals are placed on the menu. In addition, administrators have done an outstanding job this year keeping all residents and staff safe from Covid and succeeded in having one of the lowest rates of Covid in the state. You can probably tell that I am a fan! I would strongly recommend Windsor Place to anyone who wants their loved one to experience senior living at its finest!

Windsor Place of Wilmington feels warm and friendly as soon as you walk through the door. The Front Desk staff is made up of many, and they all will happily answer any questions you may have for them. The sun lit foyer and gorgeous dining room are attractive and welcoming. The pub is a cozy spot, while the Country Kitchen invites families to gather. The apartments and rooms are comfortable and there are many inviting sitting areas through out the complex. My Mom has lived at Windsor Place for nearly ten years. She arrived as a healthy , independent 85+ year old woman pleased with what Windsor Place had to offer. She settled in quickly .From Windsor Place she could drive to her church, her knitting circle, her coffee hour with friends and to do her errands. The location of Windsor Place provides easy access for all kinds of outings. But if you are wanting all of your lifes needs to be available at your fingertips then Windsor Place can provide them all. They offer entertainment and field trips, music and games. They have a hair salon, offer manicures, have a library and a fireplace too. The outside patios a lovely in the warm months. The Kitchen staff serves pleasing meals and is happy to adapt meals to residents requests. My mother wants soup all day long !These days my Mom lives with less independence and needs much more gentle care. And she receives it from the everyone. The Caregivers that we have known for years, and those that are new to us, meet the needs of the residents with smiles on their faces and compassion in their hearts. This year of the COVID pandemic has been a tough one for the elderly. Our family has certainly taken great comfort knowing that Mom (at age 97) is in the best place surrounded by wonderful people.

We have been extremely happy with the care my brother has received at Windsor Place. After touring several facilities we decided on this one because of its feeling of community. From the initial visit and tour it was clear that this was a place that respects and cares about its residents. These are caring people who go beyond what is necessary to provide care and comfort while making the transition easy for the resident and family. The facility is beautiful and immaculate and the food is very good. The staff is very pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable and kind. My Mother was on one of the Memory Care Units at Windsor for almost a year. Her care there was excellent, staff is amazing, so patient and caring with people requiring Memory Care. I also found the staff very supportive of families coping with a family member with memory issues. There are lots of activities, plenty of planned events with music which my Mother loved. My Mother actually passed away at Windsor , after 8 days of Hospice care.I stayed there with her during this time. I have ,over the course of her stay at Windsor, been very pleased with her care, the physical environment ( gorgeous and immaculate), her food choices, and the caring staff. While with her for her hospice care I saw the 24-7 care and compassion given to their residents repeatedly. The decision to place my Mother in a Memory Care unit was the hardest decision Ive ever made in my life. I have no reservations that this was the best thing for my Mother. Her quality of life was 100% better, as she struggled with the advancement of her Alzheimers, at Windsor than could ever have been provided at home.

I can't say enough about the amazing attentive care the wonderful staff at Windsor have given our parents (both are there together!), and the peace of mind they have given us. Our family has not only benefited from knowing our parents are being cared for so well, but the staff - from the front desk (Joan! Pam!) to the hands on folks (Anna! and ALL!) - have taught us so much about compassion, and understanding the special needs of elders with memory issues. Michele has been a phenomenal resource as we navigated our first year of holidays and our parents' new limitations. We are so very grateful we landed here!

My mother has now been at Windsor Place for 9 months. What a Godsend! We relocated her from Florida shortly after the death of her husband . She was reluctant to make the move. However, Windsor has been just amazing. She has a lovely room that provides enough space for her bed, small kitchen table, a recliner and a TV. There is a small kitchenette area with full refrigerator and microwave. She is thrilled to have her own privacy and also have staff a step away if she needs them. The RN's on staff have been great meeting all of my Mom's health care needs. We chose to use a PCP who is affiliated with the Assisted Living and has a PA who visits weekly. This has greatly minimized my need for direct involvement and everyone involved has been a great communicator with e-mail. I also let go of managing my Mom's medications after about 4-5 months. What a relief. Their pharmacy service has made my life so much easier. So to sum it up...this beautiful, small, personal, family owned facility has been a great fit. Her only complaint has occasionally been around the food in dining room. They seem to be making an effort to improve the service . We just attended a family holiday gathering that was truly first rate. Thank you Windsor Place for giving us peace of mind.

My mom and dad moved to Trails Assisted Living (AL) in Oct 2013. My dad passed a year ago and my mom lives here today. We visited all AL facilities with combined Alzheimer's units in the area and chose this for several reasons: 1)Staff was exceptionally professional and caring, 2) Smaller size makes for a tighter community, 3) facility is new and surroundings are beautiful 4) location is convenient right off 394W and Old Wayzata Blvd, and 5) Pricing is a la cart. Care assistants are absolutely wonderful - Renee, Jessica & Jenny are like family. A medical program offers on-site visits. Activities are well thought out and a bus offers residents weekly shopping trips and field trips. Bingo and coffee hour are resident favorites. Exercise is offered several times a week. Assistant living residents eat lunch at noon & 5pm together (no shifts) and BF is offered every day. My mom loves living here and our family couldn't be more pleased!

Windsor Place is the best choice for our Dad. They’ve helped him to maintain his independence in an environment of respectful and kind support. The staff is competent, compassionate and available. The dining options are great. We’ve particularly enjoyed watching our Dad engage in the variety of interesting social and educational activities or hearing about them. He loves the social hour, the wide variety of film offerings and lectures. My mother spent her last 4 yrs, 9 mos. at Windsor Place, most of it in their "Carlysle" memory unit. She was very happy there and my sister, brother and I always knew that she was safe and comfortable and as healthy as she could be. I visited with her twice weekly and she never failed to tell me how much she enjoyed living there. She enjoyed the food, the weekly bus trips and was always in the first row whenever there was musical entertainment, also weekly. The staff were very caring and treated her with love and respect. The facility is beautiful inside and out with many quiet areas to sit and visit. We would often sit at a table and play "Mexican Train" or Scrabble or a card game or sit at an umbrella table in the garden and just talk. The cost was very reasonable for the services provided and the location right off I-93 was very convenient.

  • Schedule a tour and visit the physical location to make sure community description is accurate.
  • Confirm with community manager that living and services required for you or your loved one's unique needs and budget are met.
  • Check with state government websites for additional provider licensing and information.

If there is any information that is inaccurate or needs to be updated, please contact Assisted Living Center.

Assisted Living Center uses the term "assisted living" or "personal care" to inform users that a community provides assistance with some Activities of Daily Living (ADL's). It may not meet your state's legal definition required for that level of care.
