The transition of my dear friend from her own home to Atria went seamlessly. Everyone at Atria has been helpful and kind, and the support offered has made all the difference. My aunt moved here a few months ago and it’s been a really positive experience. The staff has been great to her and always seems friendly when we visit. The building is clean, there are plenty of things for residents to do, and most importantly she seems happy and comfortable. We feel very lucky we have the support that Atria provides for our mom. The whole process has been smooth and handled with care, which has made my family feel at ease knowing that mom is in good hands. My Dad recently moved into Atria following 2 heart surgeries. It was an extremely stressful time for our family. John has been absolutely amazing! Since my first phone call with him he has always been extremely kind and responds quickly to any question I may have. He made the move an extremely seamless experience. John always has a smile on his face and is an absolute gem!! My Dad is very happy with his new living arrangement and that is due to the kindness of the staff!! Atria is amazing!!

After touring a number of senior housing locations, Mom chose Atria. The staff has been absolutely wonderful and caring. They understand that my mother has lived in the same home for over 60 years and that this is a brave undertaking for her. It's been nice to see my mother so social and happy. Mom keeps saying, " I feel like I'm on vacation" . Atria staff also understands that it can also be difficult for family because we have to put our trust in strangers. They genuinely care and it is not a charade, you can feel it and see it through their actions.

Mom recently made a MAJOR cross-country relocation to Atria Merrimack to be closer to her daughters, and had only seen the property in a video tour from the west coast. Upon arriving at Atria, she was immediately delighted by the lovely building and facilities, green spaces & well-tended grounds, and the warm welcome she got by the entire staff as she walked through the door. Mom quickly came to love the dining experience, the kind professionalism of the staff, and was extremely impressed by the very high degree of effort made to please residents throughout each day, with incredible attention to detail. She appreciated the strong priority on safety, including the personalized monitoring of individuals’ needs and preferences. The family appreciated the very, very personalized, patient, compassionate, and extensive support and resources shared by one of the directors - John Pezzella - to make Mom’s complicated cross-country move much smoother than it would have been otherwise! Thank you, John!!!!! Mom was impressed by the high priority placed on strong and speedy communication among the branches of the management team. Mom found the group activities to be extremely appealing and varied, and to be inclusive and encouraging of all residents regardless of abilities or backgrounds. She loved how activities appeal to a wide range of interests - cultural, artistic, culinary, historical, fitness, and spiritual well-being - and how they help residents develop friendships too. She feels the Atria culture encourages people to be kind and compassionate to each other. She loves how the resident council allows for input from the residents in matters that affect them. Atria is an exceptional and compassionate place to live for my mom. We are so grateful to Atria for all they have done to assist with a complicated relocation with so many moving pieces! I could never have dreamed such a perfect place for Mom could have existed!

Everyone here at Atria has been so very nice. They go above and beyond for our mom. They remember your name and things you like... The place really is like it seems coming in if not more so. We have gone around and asked everyone staying here how long they have been here, and everyone from months to years say how much they like it still. That speaks volumes! Both of my parents have lived at Atria Place and my entire family is so grateful to the joy and peace it has brought to their lives. Most recently my mom moved in, having lived independently until her 92nd year. So giving up her independence was a big deal. However, the welcome and first class care she has received at Atria in her first weeks has been extraordinary. She so appreciates the caring and professional staff, the extra support she has received as she is recovering from a break, and she loves the delicious meals. The quality collaborative staff have created a loving positive "can do" atmosphere that extends to the residents who are equally as positive, warm and enthusiastic. My mother has been welcomed as if she just arrived at a new college dorm - which is what Atria seems like to the next generation wondering what is in store for us..... Atria makes it seem like it could even be fun!

Atria at Merrimack Place has been a Godsend for our family! My parent's transition to assisted living has not been an easy or smooth one (for medical reasons that have swiftly changed), but the staff at Atria has gone above and beyond to help us all adjust. And I mean the ENTIRE staff! Directors who have answered my plethora of questions, bus drivers to get my parent's to their church services and Dr's appointments, maintenace who has helped with many moves, to aids that clearly love taking care of the residents and treat them with incredible care and respect. I cannot give Atria at Merrimack Place enought strars. They are the reason that I can sleep at night knowing that my parents are in the caring hands that they are deserving of.

Atria Merrimac was a godsend for our family. We moved mom from Florida during Covid and the management and staff could not have been kinder in helping her have a smooth transition. During that time, Atria worked hard to keep residents engaged (even with a portable bar cart that went room-to-room during happy hour) and communicated well to families. Once that was over, we got to appreciate the beautiful and spotless facility, extensive dining menu, variety of activities, and most of all, caring staff. As mom’s needs changed, the executive leadership was extremely helpful and supportive to the family as we determined next steps. Based on our experience over four years, I recommend Atria Assisted Living.

My wife and I have only been at Atria Newburyport for two weeks but our experience has been great. The staff has been both caring, supportive, and responsive to our needs. The meals have all been excellent and the waitstaff quickly respond to our requests.

Notice all reviews are old: The worst they will tell you how they will bring you to Dr appt.'s but don't tell you only 10 mile radius and that they can only take you 2 days a week. The food is the worst. My family member has been living there for 2 months and still hasn't been able to get any physical therapy. They will tell you that they will do a lot of things for you which they will for an additional charge. Please do not put you family member here because it is the worst!

Wow this community has the nicest people I am just amazed at how welcoming the staff and residents are. Park like setting. movie theatre, walking trails, Bistro, Anytime Dining....hair salon. Studios, 1 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms this is a dream for families and the residents!

She offered me consistent and ongoing follow through, provided important information and sensitive feedback, immediately upon request. A meeting or two and nearly unfettered access to the very confident, accommodating and efficient Executive Director. She built a level of comfort in me that established the foundation of what was to come from her team of professionals. Even further, consistent support and attention given by the Resident Services Director.
