The care is decent, no signs of abuse or neglect and it looks like the staff does what it can. However, contacting a patient can be an absolute nightmare. There is one patient phone for each wing, A and C, so that's one phone for 36 patients per wing. The problem is that they don't manage the use of the phone at all. They often cut off calls between patients and their proxies, their loved ones, etc. The staff also has the annoying habit of hanging up when they don't immediately know how to deal with a dropped or interrupted call. Most rehabs can manage at least one uninterrupted phone call between patient and relatives. Here? I'm lucky if I get one clear call with the patient I proxy for in a week. This "system" of theirs is wholly inadequate.

I called the facility to see if they had an opening for my brother. The social worker Leah answered and she gave me the admission persons number. She was super helpful and nice. She then transferred me over to the business office and she helped me with my questions regarding Insurance. Absolutely happy with the service. I hope I can get my brother in here. Loved how kind and quick they answered.

I’ve been here at Fitchburg Rehab and I have to say it’s a breath of fresh air . They give us so much freedom and it makes us actually feel like adults! The therapy has been working so well on me because I was scared to be on my own but they’ve built up my confidence. The food could be better but I’m not complaining. I am so grateful

My husband was hospitalized for a bad car accident, and upon leaving he was to go to an inpatient rehabilitation facility. We researched different places and I read the reviews for Fitchburg Rehab and went with them. Such a wonderful choice. All of the nurses and care aides are so caring, attentive, kind, truly wonderful. He was there for a little over a month. They were very attentive and patient and sweet to my husband and myself. We grew to really adore the staff. Such incredible people. We are so grateful for all of them!! Much respect for all of you at Fitch Rehab. Thank you for who you are and what you do!!! I called the facility to get information for a family member and they were provided me with the information needed. I loved the professionalism of the person who answered me I believe she said she was from the business office she provided me with the number to the admissions person. Her customer service was amazing and beyond. It’s rare to find someone who actually listens and helps who needs it and does it.

Fitchburg Rehabilitation and Nursing has a very friendly and helpful staff. They go above and beyond to help you, especially Sonya the social worker and Chris the administrator, and Illiana the business manager. All the nurses and CNAs are very helpful.

Due to a bad fall resulting in severe injuries to my arm and shoulder, I became a resident/patient of Fitchburg Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The nurses and employees did everything possible to ensure I was comfortable. None of them ever gave me a bad vibe or made me feel like I was bothering them. I met several other residents/patients during my stay and none of them had anything bad to say about their experiences here. I highly recommend this place.

Service excellence! That about sums it up. The nursing staff has been exceptional. The physical therapy continues to be remarkable with respect to their approach and execution. I am uniquely impressed with the level of care that my wife continues to receive. I highly recommend this facility when your loved one is in need of quality care!

I wanted to balance the negative reviews. I have been visiting a patient every week or every 2 weeks since before and after the Covid no visit restrictions. First impressions can be challenging. The physical facility is not new and is well worn. The staff, however, more than compensate. They are caring, accommodating, well mannered and appear to put the welfare of the patients very high. Thank you Sonya, Jade and nursing staff. The administrator, Chris, is very strict regarding the Covid health and safety procedures - just what you want to see if you are a visitor. I was told there have not been any Covid related deaths during the pandemic to date - just what you want to hear if you are a visitor. Nice job! If things change for the worse during our upcoming visits, I will be sure to update this review accordingly.
