Our experience in selecting and transitioning my mom to Autumn Glen's Avita Memory Care has been a supportive and wonderful experience, in what is a difficult time for the family. ALL the staff have been pleasant, professional, supportive, approachable, patient and helpful. They truly understand the process of this transition for all involved and have a special focus on caregiving for their residents, while also caring for the family. While all have been wonderful, special shout-outs to Ana L., Mary S., Juvi, and Jim (maintenance) for their help with moving in - from furniture, to hanging pictures, ensuring a safe room, to helping my mom get settled and involved and for the updates to keep us posted. We are so pleased with our decision to select Autumn Glen and thankful for all your talents! THANK YOU for all you have done and continue to do!

I referred a family to tour this community for their loved one for Memory Care. The family immediately called me to tell me how wonderful and informative Ann LaMere was and how compassionate and caring she was to listen to their story and their needs. I wasn't surprised as I had referred them there because I know how great their staff and community are! This place knocks it out of the park on everything. Let's just say the family has moved in their loved one as Autumn Glen Staff was able to move quickly and the team there made it happen seamlessly. Hats off, still one of the best communities around!! Thank you Ann!

My mom has been living at Autumn Glen, Assisted Living for the past 10 months. From day 1, she has been treated like a member of the family with kindness, professionalism, caring, encouragement and an extra hug! The facility is extremely clean, up to date, with a beautiful, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Upon entering, you are greeted with a warm smile and hello from the reception staff. The dining room offers a daily menu with an assortment of home-cooked meals. The meals are delicious!! The nurses and nursing aides are attentive, knowledgeable, professional and able to help or work with family so my mom has the best of care and health!! The housekeeping staff and facilities are also a part of the family and often visit and are an extra set of eyes on the well-being of mom. Jen and the activities staff offer a daily calendar of events, games, social time, movies to participate. Often special themed events include family as well. Autumn Glen staff go above and beyond with each resident to offer specialized care to everyone. I truly cannot say enough about this wonderful home. Thank you to Erin and Ana for helping us find a loving place in your Autumn Glen family for my mom. She is so happy!!

My dad moved in to Autumn Glen a few weeks ago! He is loving being part of the Autumn Glen family. Everyone is so welcoming! My dad felt like part of a family as soon as he moved in. The staff is fantastic! He is adjusting very well to living in this community and making friends participating in the social activities. He has said that it has exceeded his expectations and loves the delicious meals and enjoying them with the new friends he has made. It is a relief for me and my sister to know that he is well taken care of!
October 2024
When it was clear that my mother needed additional care in her 80s, my aunt set up five visits in three days for us to tour assisted living facilities (with memory care) for my wonderfully and stubbornly independent mother, who insisted it was a waste of time because she was just going to stay at home. Autumn Glen was the only place out of the five where my mother was able to relax and finally admit that she did need some help. It was because Ann Lamere of Autumn Glen took the time, during that initial visit, to get to know who Mom is, and to listen to her individual concerns. She also acknowledged how difficult it was for Mom to even consider a huge transition like moving from her beloved home to a strange place to live with people she didn’t know. My father passed away 12 years ago, and she’s been sad ever since. Beyond the personal care, I knew that socialization would help her physical health and her mental health immensely, and I could see that Autumn Glen would be a terrific option. We finally made the move to Autumn Glen four months ago, and got my mother a room in their Avita memory care. It wasn’t easy at first, and my mother complained, and would often prefer to stay in bed. But in time, she adjusted, and the wonderful staff relentlessly encouraged her to join the group activities and took her on fun outings. She is so much more active now than she was during all the years since my father’s passing. She lost 13 pounds in 4 months, and her face lights up so much more often than when she was living alone. Today, I brought her to her primary care doctor, who has been seeing her since right after my dad died. She said she’d *never* seen my mother smile the way she did at her appointment today. Autumn Glen is the reason for this huge change. The activities and positive energy the entire staff bring to their day-to-day interactions with each resident has made an incredible difference in my mother. She’s always been an incredibly curious and cheerful person, and she has a wonderfully spicy personality and great sense of humor. But she was on a downward slope since my father passed, and some of that cheer was diminished and replaced by depression. Now that she is at Autumn Glen, surrounded by people who keep her busy and love and appreciate her for exactly who she is, I am confident that her memory and mental health will be preserved for much longer than if she’d continued to stay alone in her house. The food is very good, and they keep the residents on a schedule, so they have predictable patterns throughout their day. The nursing staff is very attentive, conscientious, and patient. I recommend Autumn Glen very highly and have been very happy with how they have cared for my mother.

As a Placement Advisor with New England Senior Advisors, I had the privilege of helping a client find the perfect community and Autumn Glen at Dartmouth exceeded expectations. After touring five communities, it was clear that Autumn Glen was the best fit for my clients personal needs and preferences. Their attention to detail and holistic approach truly serve the whole person. My client, who is in memory care, is engaged, socially active and doing well. It's reassuring to me, and more importantly to the family, to know they are in a place where they can find meaning and happiness.

From our first encounter with the sales director Ann, we were very impressed with Autumn Glen. Ann was so helpful during the stressful time of determining the best placement for our mother when independent living was no longer the best option. The entire staff are so pleasant and they will do anything to help both families and residents become acclimated. They love the residents, and I nearly always saw hugs shared between residents and employees when I was there. There are activities all day each day of every type: exercise, mindfulness, games, musical, artistic, cooking, wine tastings, and outings. The staff go above and beyond to stimulate the minds and bodies of the residents. There are lovely family activities, too, like a recent cookout in May and the Christmas party in December. The food is also excellent. It could take your loved one a bit of time to settle in and to become accustomed to the routine, but overall, we are very satisfied with the care our mother received at Autumn Glen.

Everyone has gone out of their way to make my mother in law’s transition to assisted living as easy and as comfortable as possible. The facility is beautiful, clean and all of the different areas are really cozy and inviting. There are so many options as far as activities are concerned and the kitchen staff goes out of their way to accommodate the individual needs of their residents. We were so nervous about this transition but know we made the right choice! A special shout out to Courtney Silva- she went above and beyond for our family!
September 2023

My family is very happy that we chose Autumn Glen for my mother's residence. More important is that my mother is very happy that Autumn Glen is her residence. She has met many new friends, walks the facilities and partakes in the numerous activities. Keeps her busy both in mind and body. The staff is wonderful and caring. We made an excellent choice!!!!!!!!!!!

Everyone at autumn glen is so nice. My father is there and everyone loves him and treats him with so much respect. I can not say enough good things about staff that works there. I highly recommend this place if you want the best care for a loved one. Bill

Your family member will immediately be absorbed into and engaged as a member of the resident and staff community. The positive impact this has on your loved one is quiet apparent. What was decisive for me choosing AG for my parent, was based on a comment a resident made, "Above all, they treat you with dignity and respect". That still resonates with me.
October 2022
Autumn Glen has been such a wonderful place for my mom. They have weekly social activities for their residents to be involved in, as well as field trips to various points of interests in the area. The socialization keeps them active and viable. My mom has thrived here and she is very content & happy. Her apartment gives her the independence as if she was in her own home, but with the pampering of daily meals, housekeeping & laundry as if she was living at a 5 star resort. The staff is very attentive to her everyday needs if and when she requires assistance with helping her get ready during the day. She never has to worry about her medications for they administer them to her daily. Most importantly, if it wasn’t for the staff here at Autumn Glen, my mom may not be here today. She had experienced a heart attack late one evening and their responsiveness had saved her life. I am very grateful for having chosen Autumn Glen for her. It’s been such a worry-free & peace of mind experience for all of us.
October 2022
We interviewed several assisted living facilities and could not be happier with Autumn Glen. The vibe we noticed when touring was a staff that really enjoys the residents and is so helpful. I highly recommend AG!
October 2022
My father has been a resident at Autumn Glen for over a year. We visited many senior living communities over a number of months before deciding on Autumn Glen. Actually, my family had narrowed the choices down to three finalists and we wanted Dad to visit each of the finalists and pick the one he felt would be best for him. Of the three, we visited Autumn Glen first and after the visit he said he did not need to visit the other two communities. The staff at Autumn Glen is phenomenal! They are truly interested in the residents' well-being and happiness. There is a warm, caring, nurturing, and family feel in this community every day. The residents have a wonderful "second family" at Autumn Glen..
October 2022
Everyone is kind and so patient with my brother in law Toby Cabral. Great place for him to live he is very happy there
September 2022
Our dad has been a resident of the Avita Memory Care Unit at Autumn Glen for 14 months. The staff of Avita are wonderful and it is apparent how much they care for the residents. They are respectful in their interactions and encourage everyone to take part in the many activities available to them. The apartment accommodations are well maintained and safety checks take place on a regular basis. The daily activities are varied and include word games, exercise, and outings. The meals are prepared and served to the residents with visual choices available. Our dad loves the food and the dining environment leads to friendships and conversations with others. Our family has been so pleased with the care our dad has received. It is truly a caring community.
August 2022
My parents moved into Autumn Glen at Dartmouth four years ago. They enjoyed four years of community and friendships. My dad fell ill in June and passed away in July. The care he received in that last few weeks was exceptional. The CNAs were so kind and caring and did their best to allow him to remain at Autumn Glen with my mother. After his passing the entire staff went out of their way to make sure my mother was coping with her loss. My parents celebrated many milestones at Autumn Glen, birthdays and most recently 70 years of marriage. The staff helped all that happen even during the pandemic. Being an only child, they have made my life much easier. I know that now my mom is surrounded by caring staff and so many friends that she has met. I have to check to see when she has free time for us to visit.
May 2022
As an entertainer with over 200 performances in 5 states each year, I visit hundreds of independent, assisted and memory care facilities. From the moment I 1st entered Autumn Glen, I knew this was a special place. Staff were warm and inviting. That warmth and care was evident in the smiling faces and demeanors of residents that attended the recital. Conversations immediately ensued about love of music, my life, but most importantly theirs sharing stories as if a family member. So touched, I am returning regularly despite this being well outside of my typical travel perimeter of 1 hour each way. It’s worth the joy I receive and most importantly give.
December 2021
I called this facility in a bit of an emergency looking for assistance for my mother. I spoke with Alan Lappas and he was amazing! Even though he could not offer services to my mother due to the circumstances he went above and beyond to talk with his Director. He called me back with resources that proved very helpful. Thank You Alan - you truly made a difference for my mother and our family!
December 2021
My Mom has been so happy at Autumn Glen, she is kept busy daily with activities and socializing which she loves. We appreciate all the staff who work very hard and treat everyone with patience and kindness. We are certain we made the right choice!
November 2021
Autumn Glen has been the best thing that has happened to my dad in the past couple of years. After losing my mom he became very lonely and with his health deteriorating he realized that he no longer could stay in his home alone. We made the decision to move him to Autumn Glen and I have not seen him this happy in years. Diane was very helpful and accommodating to get the process completed with the move, Jean has the warmest welcome at the front desk, and nurse Rob is always caring and on top of things. The kitchen/dining room staff go above and beyond and are very careful with his special diet. All the staff provide him with such great direct care as well as love and support. He could not be in better hands. My dad has made lots of friends, is active all day with wonderful activities including exercise classes and is flouishing. I'm assured that my dad is well taken care of and will have the best last years.
October 2021
My family is exceedingly happy with the staff at Autumn Glen. The front desk staff is always warm and friendly. The staff in "Avita" are patient, considerate and caring. We appreciate the kindness and compassion that the whole staff; director, care-givers, nurses, recreational therapists and fix-it guys, show our Mom and us, in order to give her the best quality of life.
March 2021
Autumn Glen is a fantastic community with a great culture and a commitment to providing the best quality of life for the residents. The priorities of the staff clearly show they care about the residents and their families and create a warm, inviting atmosphere.
March 2021
I love having my Mom at Autumn Glen . I get to see her living her best life. They truly treat the residents as family. At 91 she is dancing and laughing with new friends ! My brothers and I couldn’t be happier
January 2021
AG is making the most of the restrictions imposed related to COVID. Being able to create visitation is greatly appreciated. Friendly, clean, responsive. All employees have been most courteous. My only comment is I wish chefs would prepare meals with much less salt. If a resident prefers a saltier taste, the resident can always add salt to match their preference, however, a resident trying to limit salt cannot extract that which is cooked in. Hopeful residents and staff obtaining vaccines will make it possible for residents to accept visitors in their apartments and that community activities will be reinstated.
January 2021
Over the past several years three of my family members have moved into Autumn Glen and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. From the beautiful grounds and building to the fun activities and the caring staff I just couldn’t imagine sending my loved ones anywhere else.
January 2021
Though I don’t have a loved one at Autumn Glen, I would not hesitate to choose this facility if I was in need of one. A facility is only as good as the people who work at it and I happen to know people who work there. They love the residents and work tirelessly to provide them a safe environment that they can thrive in. Even with the surge of Covid they have managed to have very few cases.
January 2021
My family is so grateful for the lifestyle my uncle had at Autumn Glen. He moved in feeling apprehensive and uncertain. He wanted to be home but knew he couldn’t and we knew it wasn’t the right place for him anymore. We were scared too. But those feeling of uncertainty changed immediately. My uncle made friends, he exercised (something he never did even in his younger years), he tried foods he had never eaten and loved them (he was always a PB&J and meat and potatoes guy) but when he just wanted his PB& J or his oatmeal, that’s what he got. He said to me one day they are so good to me and that sentence alone was absolutely priceless. My uncle is gone now but we will always be grateful that he spent his last years at Autumn Glen. No doubt moving there added quality time to his life & he deserved that. I couldn’t recommend them more.
January 2021
For the past fifteen years, my Mother has referred to Autumn Glen as her home. It has and continues to provide her with a quality living environment. There are not enough accolades to describe the phenomenal staff from ALL departments. During this time of the COVID Pandemic, Autumn Glen has gone to great lengths to ensure the safety of all residents and to communicate safety protocols to the residents and families. Thank you to the staff of Autumn Glen Assisted Living for their kindness, respect and care in providing my Mother with a home.
December 2020
I couldn't say enough amazing things about the staff and facilities at Autumn Glen. They provided exceptional care for BOTH of my parents during a difficult time. The Exec Dir, Erin Fowler, was so genuine and sincere in her concern for my parents through a very challenging 2020. She was so responsive and we couldn't have made it through without her guidance. Highly recommend!!!
October 2020
It’s about the people. While Autumn Glen is a warm, luxurious and homey place to live, I’ve realized the MOST important thing, especially in these hellish times, is the quality of the team. We never could have predicted what the last 6 months have wrought. Our decision as a family, with our parent’s consent and optimism, was to help our parents move into a lovely 2 bedroom apartment on February 1st 2020. Without really knowing the AG staff, the decision was made based on things like how attractive the home was, the quality of the food, the activities and level of care. It’s tough to evaluate the potential impact of a pandemic. Throughout these difficult months, the information flow from Autumn Glen management has been excellent. The organization has had to juggle complex and onerous and every-changing state rules with the needs and desires of residents and family. Perfection isn’t possible, but being kept informed has reduced the anxiety. Most appreciated and important has been the incredibly kind, empathetic and professional behavior of the entire team at AG. Our family is grateful for their courage and compassion. The word hero’ has been used a lot lately, but it is absolutely appropriate for the wonderful people who work at Autumn Glen.
October 2019
My grandparents both lived at autumn Glen. I was googling it to send to a friend who’s considering assisted living for her Mom and seen an unflattering, completely absurd remark about Autumn Glen and felt compelled to write a factual review representative of this FANTASTIC assisted living. From the housekeepers to the management, everyone there truly cares and they went above and beyond for my grandparents. They gave us an extra bed when my grandfather needed his own bed, their staff visited him in rehab when he was sick, they brought him treats and even brought my grandmother to visit him. Everyone and I mean everyone knew my grandparents, knew what they enjoyed, made it a point to get to know them and our family. My grandparents and my entire family were treated like family there by everyone and it felt like a second home for the 3 years my grandfather was there and the nearly 4 years my grandmother was there until she passed away 6 months ago. When she passed we were still treated with the utmost respect and never did it feel like they were just a number. I can’t thank them enough for what they did for all of us and I’d recommend autumn Glenn to everyone.
February 2019
My grandpa lived at Autumn Glen and they were all so good to him. He enjoyed the musical entertainment and Men’s Club and the Veteran programs. His friends would come and join him for breakfast and they always felt very welcome too. When we visited, everyone was friendly and would always smile and say hello. The staff really embrace the residents as family and their families as family. That’s what really made it home for my grandpa. I truly do believe that they made his last years the best.
January 2019
I had a family member at Autumn Glen and I can’t speak more highly of it! The staff was so friendly and caring, and the facility was so beautiful and clean! It gave me a great piece of mind to know my family member was being so well cared for when I could not always be there for him due to work and family responsibilities. I would highly recommend this facility to those that are looking for themselves or a loved one!
June 2018
If it was possible to give AG ten stars, I would. They have provided the most exceptional care for our loved one for over 3 years. From the start, they were encouraging to always do a schedule of activities that have allowed our loved one to enjoy a quality of life not imagined. The facility is in a lovely setting and the caregivers who are working here are very concerned and caring for all the residents. I have seen a consistency in staff from day one. If you have a loved one who is experiencing memory loss, this is an excellent facility. As you can see from the photos I have included, AG always does an amazing job with a family & friends celebration.
November 2017
When my mother first went to Autumn Glen in August of 2016, it was a lovely place with wonderful people and a positive energy. But somewhere along the way, Northbridge, a large company, took the place over and things have really started to slip. Many of the long-time employees have quit. Morale is low. Activities have decreased and become less interesting. Mom is not happy. Not sure what to do. It is expensive but I had felt the price was well worth it until recently. Will be looking elsewhere for Mom if Hingis don’t improve very soon.
May 2016
Almost one year ago our mom was hospitalized and it was evident to my brother, sisters and I that it was getting increasingly difficult for my mom to manage by herself at home. We had a very short time to research the assisted living communities in the area. (And we looked at EVERYTHING.) Honestly, they were all viable options and were all very beautiful. What put Autumn Glen over the edge was the sense of family you sensed as soon as you walked through the door. The Marketing Director, who is now the Executive Director was very nice to work with. Within a week all the arrangements were made. Our mother loves living at Autumn Glen and tells us such EVERY TIME we visit her! The staff is amazing from the management, clinical staff, kitchen staff, CNAs, receptionists and maintanance staff!!! Many of our family members work in healthcare and expected a glitch or two...we still haven't found one! We all want to reserve our future apartments! We are your biggest fans! Thank You! Michelle Desroches Lang

After viewing many assisted living facilities Autumn Glen by far is the best. Their caring staff, wonderful food, many activities available, and the feeling you get when you walk through the doors its a beautiful place.
October 2015
Autumn Glen is a wonderful facility! The residents are always busy. Whether it be playing games or doing crafts they are always being involved. The staff is always smiling and willing to help whenever needed. The food is outstanding! Autumn Glen is definitely the best, friendliest assisted living I have been too! Definitely worth looking into!
