My Wife, Linda, and I moved to Christwood from Connecticut in 2020 in the midst of Covid. A Son lives in New Orleans, a few other relatives are near-by but we knew no one at Christwood before moving here. Despite the restrictions dictated by Covid in terms of social gatherings and group activities, we were greeted with open arms. Within a short period of time , we knew by face and name most Residents. As Covid faded away, dining facilities were back in full swing and special group and individual programs were restarted. An important part of Christwood is the connected Community Center with some 600 members, 55 years and older. The pool, gym, special exercise classes, pickleball court, spa, beauty parlor, etc.are all included in the Christwood Resident experience. The opportunity to "mix and mingle" with generally younger Center Members adds to the benefits. In addition to the physical facilities and classes, special Center programs include Trivia Nights, "Wine down Wednesdays and similar social activities. A most important benefit of the Christwood experience is the wonderful dedicated management and staff. Top management and those staff members with Resident contact know everyone by name and go out of their way to be of service. Always with a smile. A recent example was our experience with management and staff during Hurricane Francine when all involved in the physical operation and in the care of Residents , left family at home, and lived and worked on site until the danger had passed. All in all, this is a wonderful place with lots of fun and interesting Residents and a dedicated and caring staff. Charlie Goodyear

I work in a restaurant. Yesterday 2 nurses came in with 10 residents. I've informed my family that they better send me to Christwood when it's time. Those 2 nurses were amazing. Very patient & kind. Both women acted like friends more than nurses. They were amazing.

Christwood is the premier retirement community on the north shore, but it goes way deeper than that. Christwood has the most compassionate caregivers and leadership team that I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. They truly CARE about their staff as well as the residents. I’ve heard that if you love your job you’ll never work a day in your life. Christwood has proven this to me! Happy to be part of this team.

Christwood is a lovely retirement community with a beautiful campus, wonderful caring staff, very active residents, lots of events and activities, great community center, and a lively community.

I have made so many friends. I really like almost all of the people Ive met. Also, there are so many fun things to do and wonderful people to do them with. The fitness center has everything to keep you fit. All of the staff here who work with me in housekeeping, maintenance, and food service are very pleasant and are willing to do almost anything to help all of the residents. I thoroughly enjoy living here. The biggest drawback is that the living space causes major downsizing and that has been difficult for me.
