One year ago, this month, I was admitted following knee revision surgery. I was a patient for six weeks and received excellent care. The nurses aides were caring and responsive whenever I needed help. The Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapist were very professional and were a joy to work with. I appreciated their help to the point that I requested to be sent back three weeks later after my new knee was in place. I spent another 4-5 weeks learning to use the new knee as an out-patient and was so pleased to be able to be back among Therapy friends! Ill never forget my experience at Ascension Living Via Christi Village and the folks in their Skilled Nursing Center.

I have seen true compassion out of the caregivers here and am humbled by their work. There is a reason they havent had a citation for patient care in over 4 years and had back to back perfect infection prevention surveys. The caregivers that work here walk the walk everyday. There is a culture of process improvement and quality of care. The staffing ratios are miles beyond all other skilled nursing facilities and documented by regulating agencies, therapy is provided 7 days a week based on what patient insurance allows for, call light response time consistently averages at 4 minutes or less and is audited routinely, they employ multiple infection preventionists, physicians on-site 5-7 days a week versus other skilled nursing facilities with only a handful of hours 2-3 times a week, on-site specialist visits, 2 registered dietitians onsite, Chaplin onsite, coordination of care with priest and more. They were named to US News and World Reports best nursing homes in America because of their quality of care. There is a true dedication to serve the vulnerable and their families during some of the most challenging and stressful times.

I was here before in November and had some good experiences and some not so good. I am here again and have had only good experiences.... great food and kind and courteous staff. I see an ernest and unified to give the very best compassionate Care.

The staff of Via Christi Village is clearly passionate about patient care and family support. The support they exhibit through the healing process shows that they are committed to a successful outcome for when the patient can return home. The facility is beautiful. It includes a full church with cathedral ceilings and stained glass. A very peaceful setting to recover in with a dedicated staff providing care.

My Granny was here for the last several months of her life, first in the skilled rehab, then transitioned into long term care. My granny suffered from a severe form of dementia that caused her to cry hysterically for hours a day. The staff here cared for my gran with patience and love. I couldnt have asked for more, and overall just the peace of mind of knowing she was being taken care of. In her last days her nurses showed her so much love and compassion until she passed on into the next life. Thank you all, especially the staff on B2!

My grandmother is at Via Christi Village-Ridge and she is thriving! The community she was in before, we were unaware of how the environment was negatively affecting her. She is much more alert and happy and willing to attend ALL the activities offered. The activities offered are AMAZING. The food is top notch...food is important! They are well equipped to take on their residents. The staff are friendly and kind and my grandmother enjoys all of them. I am happy for my grandma to call this place home. The therapy department is also phenomenal. All departments truly care about the patients, residents and their well-being. If we ever have had concerns they are addressed immediately and resolved. I would recommend Via Christi Village Ridge to anyone!

Excellent care. My mother has been there since November 2016. She loves it, great communication, always a phone call when something has changed. Always meetings with family for making sure there are no problems, they work great with the patient and the family so that all is happy. She gets her hair and nails done, plays bingo, listens to outside music that comes in and participates in all activities. They also take them on bus adventures. Nice clean environment. All rooms are single so she does not have a room mate. The therapy department is excellent. Could not ask for a more clean, caring and professional place for my mother. Thank you Via Christie Village on Ridge.
