This is a long past due review. I cannot thank the staff of Silvercrest at College View for the care they gave my mother from Feb 2018 to Apr 2020. Every person on the staff brought a skill that took a senior care facility to a home, and a place of safety for my mom. Staff members, from the front desk, administration, dining room, activities, nursing, maintenance, care givers, etc made it a point to get to know the residents and developed care plans, personal interactions with them that made them feel at home, safe and welcome. I cannot thank them enough!

My parents moved into Silvercrest at College View after an extenisve search of retirement communities in the Kansas City area and they are delighted to have found a beautiful home to live out their days! Nancy Correll was my moms initial contact and she has been there every step of the way since as my parents were founding residents in a brand new building in June 2017! As the community has grown, ideas pop up, needs change, residents move in et. Nancy and her team keep Silvercrest running and never miss a beat in responding to all needs. They are kind, friendly, affectionate and easy going to everyone. My large family is always surprised and impressed that everyone knows who we are and that all the staff knows the name of each resident. They stop to chat, check in, say hello as they pass by. Silvercrest runs all sorts of classes, bridge games, book clubs, exercise, crafts, social gatherings, movies, outings, dinners, wine club, etc. My parents are thriving and happy. We are forever grateful to Nancy who was our first contact back in early 2017 and continues to answer the phone and respond today.

The staff are so kind and understanding. I love the homey environment and especially the outdoor area. Its very clean too. My favorite is the food! Always delicious with lots of choices. The chef comes out from the kitchen and asks us if everything tastes ok. He really cares about what we need and what we like.

My parents moved in Dec 2018. They are 88 and 86. They moved ftom a small yown and were apprehensive. It has been awesome. They are involved, participate in activities and are thriving. The Thursday activities are their favorite as music entainment is brought in. The music is from their era.

My mom has been in their Memory Care going on 2 years now. Shanea and her staff are the most compassionate and qualified workers I have encountered. They take care of the patients as well as making sure families are updated. Today they had my mom FaceTime with me. Awesome. Every worker, from Shanea to housekeeping are the best. I appreciate them more than words can express.

I cannot say enough positive things about Silvercrest. We had to move my Mom quickly from her home into a facility. They worked with us and helped us make the best decision about her care. She is now doing great with all of the mental stimulation and activities. The staff is caring and helpful and all know who she is. The residents are friendly and welcoming and helped ease her transition. I would highly recommend Silvercrest to anyone with elderly parents.

I have my own apt and they clean it every other week. People are friendly and call you by your first name. Food isnt terrific. I cook better. Then I have a kitchen.

My in-laws moved in Nov2018 and we are so happy to have them so close to us, but also to have some independence. They have a lovely 2 bedroom apartment on the assisted living side. Its a smaller replica of their previous home and not ‘nursing home looking at all. Every resident who moves in is welcomed by new carpet and fresh paint. The staff have been excellent to them and us. The staff are great communicators and welcome residents and their staff to communicate with them. We are very pleased to have been able to get our folks into Silvercrest College View!
