While The Windsor has a nice nursing staff and NO Covid cases as of August 2020, the interior is 1990s outdated as are the amenities. The owner kicks residents out when they run out of money, even though most of their rooms are convertible to Medicare-Medicaid rooms. They only care about the money. Pretty average for todays American elder care system. 5-10 would not recommend.

THERES NO PLACE LIKE HOME❤ We first made a visit to The Windsor of Lawrence and met with Amber Copeland. When we entered the facility, it felt like we were entering someones home. Upon completing our tour, I was impressed by the many staff members interacting with the residents. Music was playing in the living room and many residents were relaxing by the fireplace. The atmosphere was so welcoming.Our Mother is now a resident at The Windsor of Lawrence. Wait, I want to rephrase that..Our Mothers home is at The Windsor of Lawrence. She is surrounded by loving and caring staff as well as other residents.Our experience with The Windsor of Lawrence Community to date is a gift from above. Mothers dementia is progressing and we discussed openly her many needs and our concerns candidly with the staff. The response to each and every concern was reassuring.Mother is always smiling when we walk in the door. She is clean, her clothes are clean and her apartment is clean. Music is usually playing in the living room and Mother is known for getting up and dancing her heart out.The social integration with residents and staff at The Windsor, is a game changer for us. For months, I would enter Mothers previous residence and I could walk the halls and not see a single staff member, too many times to count.When I opened Mothers door, she would be sitting in the dark, no TV, no radio, blinds were drawn and she would be sitting in the dark. I was heartbroken. I was beyond frustrated!My Mother is safe at The Windsor. My Mother is happy at The Windsor. She is provided the cueing, social integration and enrichment so vital to ensuring the best quality of life possible with advancing dementia.On a personal note, we have our lives back. I have peace, in my heart, knowing my Mother is being provided the love, attention and care she so richly deserves!A Grateful Daughter ❤

This is a fantastic facility and they are very involved. They communicate very well with us about how he is doing. They have a wonderful chef and they have 3 great meals a day. They try to engage him to join the daily activities. It is very clean. It has a nice courtyard it's kept up nicely with trees and flowers. I would recommend this community.

My father was at The Windsor and I wish I could speak to every family who is placing a loved one with Alzheimer's/Dementia in a care facility and tell them about our experience and what to look for when placing a loved one. We had placed him in another facility that was supposed to be a Memory care facility and they were not equipped to care for him. Then we were told about The Windsor. The Windsor, their staff went above and beyond to help with my father. I am so thankful my dads final time was with the loving "family" at Windsor. Amanda and Jacob we thank them from the bottom of our heart!

I toured here when looking for a place for my mom and at the time it didnt fit the needs we had. It looks like theyre more geared toward memory care residents and my mother wanted an independent living situation as she is more alert. When I was there, the other residents seemed to be happy. They were doing an art activity and the activities director seemed wonderful. I wasnt there for very long and only had a limited interaction, so this is based on first impressions. We just knew it wasnt going to be a good fit for us.

A great place for our Mother. Every one I have come in contact with is very nice. My sisters, my Brother and I fell very bless to have found this place. A very clean and pretty place.
