When you first enter you will find the staff welcoming and the residents engaging in activities and conversation. Not only is the building beautiful but the environment feels like home. The dining is excellent and the care genuine. You will not be disappointed if you or a loved one becomes a member of this community.

I have the opportunity to spend time at VSV several times a month and there are always fun activities and events for the residents, the food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. The residents are always happy and bragging about their new home.

We were happy to visit our friend whom we have not seen for awhile.. more seating could have been provided in the room, it was a crowded visit but we made do! When someone is unhappy being there, it makes it difficult for positive conversation. Not your fault.....just a comment along the way...... It is sad to see an Older fried feel isolated and unhappy!

I went to a Veterans Coffee event together with my husband and was also later invited to the Open House a couple of months ago. It feels like it is located in the country, yet it is conveniently located to nearby major highways and right next to a regional hospital. The building was very pretty and looked inviting. I was very impressed with how beautiful and modern the furnishings were, both in the common areas as well as the individual residents' rooms! Very clean! All the amenities you could possibly ask for: movie theater, workout room, library, awesome garden etcetera. While I was there the first time, an enthusiastic staff member was leading an exercise class. The staff is wonderful: from the front desk person, to the janitor to the directors; all of them very friendly and caring! I felt like they were genuinely happy to work there! The food at the Open House was delicious; prepared by the facility's chef. It is great to know that there is such a great facility in Valparaiso!

This center is by far the most loving and peaceful environment you could ever ask for your family. My grandmother feels so loved and cared for with the thoughtful staff. We just celebrated her birthday and the staff worked hard to make her day so fun for her and welcomed all of her family to come and celebrate too. She spends her days with carefully curated meals with a coffee bar, and daily activities - the salon experience being one of her favorites. The staff is so kind and friendly, and work to make my grandmother feel comfortable and safe, while giving her autonomy of her time. My grandma was nervous to leave her home that she had for 60 years where she raised her children and had all the memories of her beloved husband. The transition was intimidating but with the comfort of the center and support of the staff - she hasn't been this happy in years. We are all thrilled that we have her in the best possible care.
