I was having a real hard time putting my family member in a nursing home.. however after working with Jessica the Admissions Director she made me feel less helpless about it, more hopeful and i felt her information and connection was genuine. Not to mention the follow through from Krisit, in the buisness office which complimented the information Jessica shared with us very well. Kristi took time to explain to us the steps of Medicaid and really put us at ease in the process. Additionally, thank you to April for her time. Explaining the medical conditions to us and providing not only what the issues are but overall a general overview of different things to improve it and explaining it to us non-healthcare folks. PS - the facility is modern , not like a normal old folks home and clean! I’m very thankful for what they do!

The residents always have fun activities planned for them and the staff are warm and welcoming. The facility is always clean and the staff build relationships with the residents. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

We absolutely LOVE Nurse Tara! No matter how hectic the day may be for her, she always stops in several times to check in and see if there is anything My Mother needs or us as the family! Great Visit! ’© My Mother is the most important person in my life and her care is very important to me! Tara is amazing and My Mom (Diana Parker) loves her too!

Nursing care was horrible ! Very rarely did anyone come in room to ask if anything needed. Water cups the same as the day before . Catheter was in wrong nothing monitored never turned my dad left there in much worse shape than when he went in ! I had my dad taken to ER and the hospital was appalled by his condition ! Too bad there are some really good caring people that work there ! But the bad out weigh the good ! Rehab people were great ! Jessica and Katie very helpful but if good nursing care is needed this is NOT the place !

Moved my Mom in here recently and I cannot say enough good things about KRISTI BARNES !! She made sure my mom was comfortable and let her know personally she would do whatever she could to make her transition smooth for her,and she did just that. JESSICA ELDRED was the first one we encountered there and she was more than helpful helping us through admissions and answering all our questions! She went out of her way to help us make this move. Katy was also very helpful. They truly have a caring staff.

I just have 1 of the best Nurse's that anyone could ask for. She's always willing to help her patients with their needs and is more than willing to find out answers to questions if she doesn't have the answer. Thanks again to my Nurse Jesse.

Chesterton Manor is a great facility if you are looking for short term rehab or long term care. I would recommend this facility to anyone! The staff treat their residents with respect and make sure that their needs are met. You will be in good hands.

The building may look older but it is lovely as soon as you enter.Everybody is courteous and kind. The rooms are not very modern. But the care that was given to our loved one is what matters most. The staff takes the time to listen to patients' needs and wants on their own and is very helpful to them. They all seem to take pride in their work, in my opinion. I appreciate it; keep up the good work! Families receive explanations from therapy to assist. Not to mention that the dietary department, buisness office and social services gave their all in providing assistance as needed with our loved one.

This is the best facility in this area. It’s smaller so the residents know each other pretty well & don’t get lost in the shuffle. There are lots of fun things for them to do, & the staff is so extremely nice. Several have been there for many years & are very hardworking, dedicated, & really care about the residents.

Extremely clean and welcoming setting for care and rehabilitation

Keep in mind this is a nursing home but the staff is amazing and make you feel like your at home. It was completely different from my experience at Brickyard terrace in Laporte. The place is clean and they really care about you as a person. Therapy is amazing and worked me to get me walking with a walker no more wheel chair. The nurses and q make sure your meds are given on time every time . My only complaint is the food but again it’s a nursing home.

I have to say that when I was first checking out places for my father chesterton manor was not the first place I thought of. Let me say that since we have had my Dad there they all have been nothing but respectful and pleasant. My Dad loves all the nurses and staff each work so hard. My Dad says all of you are lovely thank you so very much and Merry Christmas!

I’m the Active Older Adult Coordinator at the Duneland Family YMCA and years ago Chesterton Manor opened their doors to community seniors with a monthly breakfast and many from my Y group attended. These breakfasts were a great chance for everyone to see the way everyone was treated there. A good time and the Bingo games were fun! Everyone I dealt with in the marketing department was a pleasure to work with and Chesterton Manor always helped the community by hosting some of our Y games by providing lunch and prizeskeep up the great job!!!

Chesterton Manor is a wonderful facility! Heather in activities always makes sure the residents are having a fun, full day and listens to their wants and needs while assuring self autonomy.
