Commenting the food service: Both the dining room and the kitchen are really hard to beat. The food is great, and the servers are first rate. Hearing about the food is what first drew Me to the Springs. Also, I would like to mention Shannon Stone. She handles the chaos of feeding Us Old Coots with profesionalism and humor. On a side note, I had a terrible time remembering Her name, Then I heard an old '60s song "Runaway" by Del SHANNON.. We Oldsters think differently than regular people. Also, I have been here for 6 years, so I could call Myself an expert, or something.

I truly cannot say enough good things about The Springs of Richmond. As someone who worked in nursing care for sixteen years, including seven years as a CNA in various facilities, and having placed family members in other homes, I can confidently say that nothing compares to this place. From laundry, housekeeping, and maintenance to HR, the wait staff, and the cook staff, every single department goes above and beyond. The therapy team, providing both inpatient and outpatient physical and occupational therapy, is exceptional and incredibly dedicated. The nursing team and CNAs are also top-notch, providing professional care with genuine respect. The location is also excellent, situated on one of the more recent stretches of road and being one of the first businesses along that stretch, lying directly between CVS and Hill's Pet Nutrition. I also love their accessible sidewalk that goes all the way around the building, which is great for people in wheelchairs and walkers to get some exercise. There are bird feeders outside some residents' windows, and the courtyards are just beautiful with patches of flowers and well-manicured shrubs. Plus, the courtyards all have large patios and one courtyard includes a two-hole putting green. One of the most remarkable things about The Springs of Richmond is the infectious positive energy that seems to flow through every single employee. I have never experienced this level of genuine positivity in a healthcare facility before, and it truly infused me with a sense of energy and optimism during my recovery. As I look ahead to my next spinal surgery, I hope to be approved to return to The Springs again.

During my 3 week stay, everyone I was in contact with was very professional, yet friendly, very attentive to needs and wants. Even physical therapy was fun and never boring! The food was delicious, well presented, and abundant. Many activities daily, visitors anytime, and pets welcome to visit. If I'm in the position I would need a transitional facility again, or assisted living, this is the place I'd choose!

My mom was in the hospital and needed to transfer to a rehab facility to gain her strength back. She gained so much more. She gained so many people that truly cared about her and helped myself and my family with this process. Our first time having our mom in a facility and it has been by the far the best. The compassion for not only our Mother, but for myself and my siblings made going home at night so much better. The cleanest facility I have been in with exceptional care.

I have nothing to say about the care here but family's rights are not valued. They will allow residents to be bullied into signing legal documents with out the presence of a lawyer and will also ignore legal POA's and health care representative forms. The admin at The Springs told my mother that she would be sent home if she did not sign her POA over to my granddaughter which has since drained my mother dry. I hope they can let mother stay for free because her Medicare is about to run out and I can't pay for her care now.

Having a loved one in assisted living is difficult but The Springs of Richmond eases the angst that goes with that. The Springs team(housekeeping, meal/cafeteria, nursing, PT, administration, business, transportation)goes above and beyond, to care for my Mom, to keep me informed of any concerns they have, and provide me with information for her appointments and with financial records for use with insurance. She's on her third stay and I've visited her for all of her stays. I see her weekly now during this stay so this isn't just a "caught them on a good day" situation. It's consistently good care. Specifics I want you to know: Facilities: The exterior of the facility is attractive and modern looking. The interior is tastefully decorated with rooms of reasonable size. The lobby and dining areas are cheery and clean. I'll be candid and say it doesn't smell. I've heard people talk about how living centers can smell but this center isn't like that. Nurses/aids: caring, attentive, responsive, kind, and they keep me informed of any issues. I feel comfortable asking them questions and calling them if I have concerns. They're timely with my Mom's medications, they respond if she has to request help, they keep her hydrated, and they frequently check her vitals. My Mom has mobility issues so they monitor her skin for breakage and provide her with air boots to keep her heels from rubbing and developing sores. When we were heading to an appointment this week, one of the nurses told my Mom she loved her when we were walking by. That warmed my heart. Activities: They give each resident a daily activities' list and they publish a monthly calendar. They also do outside the facility trips. They offer some tasty treats fairly often - ice cream, pop corn, and they almost always have sweet treats up in the lobby. Meals: I'm impressed with the meal quality and variety offered. I talk with my Mom every night. One of my questions is always to ask her what she had for dinner and sometimes what her other meals were. They offer a lot of variety and she says the food is good. If she has problems cutting something up, like pork or beef, they will help her. She says the portions are very generous and frequently tells me it's too much food - so they don't skimp. Administrator/Business: the facility administrator, Ben, is in the trenches with the team from what I've seen and heard from my Mom. He visits the residents and helps the team with whatever needs to be done. I believe he frequently helps out with meal orders and I know my Mom enjoys seeing and chatting with him. Jamie, on the business team, has been very helpful to me with information I've needed related to bills and insurance. Thank you for that! PT: The PT team were wonderful as well. I joined her for one of her PT sessions and was impressed with the PT/OT done. The therapists were capable and pleasant. I wish my Mom was more inclined to continue that but I think she's tired. Transportation: My Mom hasn't used the transportation service often but I want to give a shout-out to Patty. She visits my Mom in her room sometimes and when we've run into her around the facility, she stops to talk with us and gives my Mom a hug. She's perfectly suited for her job. Prices: I'm afraid I don't have a lot to say about how it compares to other facilities because I really didn't shop around. I liked the care my Mom got the other 2 times she was there so I wanted her to go there this time. Location: While not convenient for me, because I live an hour and a half away, it's super close to her Reid doctors and the care The Springs team provides to my Mom is worth it for me to drive that far to see her. I think this is a 5-star facility and recommend it for you or a loved one if you're in the market!

recently spent 2+ weeks here and I was pleasantly suprised.all of the nurses and employee's were kind, very helpful, and nice to talk to. everyone was responsive to any issues i had. a nurse, Kayla, was especially so. the therapists were positive, encouraging, and gave me the confidence to return home. the facility was clean and the food was pretty good with options if you didn't like the meal coming up. the private room was a big bonus as well. thank you to all for your help

I can’t begin to adequately praise the care that I have had since arriving at The Springs in Richmond, IN. Every single person across the spectrum of employees here have always been so kind, friendly and caring. They seem to anticipate your needs. The push of the call button is always answered quickly. Is there anything else I can get you must be their mantra. Reassurance and reminders that control of pain is an important component of the healing process are given often. The masters of rehab in the gym, all of the therapists, communicate and work together to create the best approach for each patient’s needs. There is a very strong and creative social department, that prints a newsletter and list of varied activities that will appeal to the many, available each day. And the food is homemade and excellent! So my long, rambling message is to tell you that The Springs of Richmond is a wonderful place to rehab yourself back to health!

My mother was there for 2 weeks, they told her she will soon be released and that could appeal it for her to stay longer. When she asked again if they had sent the appeal for her they told her it was too late for the appeal. So that made us mad since she has a broken arm and recently had surgery on her other arm. She is still pretty weak and needed more time and help. So communication is a must when staying at the springs.

The nicest place to heal and recover for a loved one or yourself . The staff is very caring and management is amazing . We all work together as a team . Should be rated number 1 in this area . Each room is single beds so u can recover without sharing a room. The therapy department is so amazing. People are gone within six weeks of recovery from the hospital. The kitchen department is five star and they make their food fresh with love. Everyone truly cares for each and every patient that comes through the doors. If I need rehab, this is the place I would go.

The staff is amazing. Friendly, caring, listens to your needs. The food is good. If you do not like the options, you have options of ordering different things. I was in this facility for 12 days, and had an awesome experience. My husband has been in here for 13 days. And his safety is their biggest concern. Ben was awesome at explaining things to me. I would come back tomorrow For my therapy on my ankle when needed.

My mom has now spent 3 different stays at the Springs her first stay was around 3 years ago So when we were in the need again the second time mid February we chose The Springs again! Well here we are again in need of a place again in May, each time our moms stay was several weeks long! I think it’s obvious to say we like it here!! Nursing staff and others always treated our mother with dignity and respect. The gals in social services are above and beyond! They truly helped me in so many ways!!!! The only thing that saddens me is The Springs doesn’t have a permanent bed for our mom. We will miss you!!

I have been to all other facilities in Richmond and know of several others who have been to these places and the Springs is by far the best. There is no smell when you walk in the door. My mother has been at the Springs for a year and a half and I can't say enough about the staff. Especially the business development person Jamie. She really went out of her way to assist me and help me with any concerns and issues. I live out of state and it makes it difficult to get things done since I can't come in person. The nurses have also assisted me in several different things out of the ordinary like measuring feet, pants, and bra sizes for me so I can order the right things for my mother. I have already had other family members stay here including my father and Aunt. In my opinion it is one of the best nursing homes in Richmond Indiana. Thanks for all your support and guidance. Five Minutes With Mayhem

My aunt resides in this facility and I have to say, I’m impressed. We tried a few different places before this and none of them were a good fit, resulting in my aunt calling me crying some days, saying she didn’t feel valued or treated like a person. It was terrible. Since she moved to the springs her whole attitude has done a 180. She’s always telling me about friends she’s made, her favorite staff members, and how much she likes her room. When I go to visit everyone looks like they want to be there and the facility is always clean and active. I’m so glad we finally got her into a place with caring staff and enough activities to keep her occupied and happy. Thanks to the team at The Springs for the love and work they put into their residents.

The only positive was the food and that it is clean. My mother had multiple skin tears not even recorded by nurses. Nurses were generally not friendly. They sent my mother out for an appointment that I had called several weeks before and told them was canceled (and asked that they cancel the ride), then was charged for transportation. Just recently found out that my mother was put on a medicine and no one knows why it was prescribed, assuming by the dr there. Not sure why family wasn't notified about the medicine when my mother has dementia. Therapy overworked an arm that the ortho said would not function correctly again to the point that she had a huge muscle knot in the shoulder and held her head at angle. She actually went backwards in her progress and therapy evan stated that to the assisted living during her re-evaluation (maybe it was the new medicine she was put on because several family members had noticed odd behavior in general). Crazy how much better she is now that she has left "rehab" and has been getting home health care therapy. This is the 4th facility we have had experience with and definitely the worst. Would not recommend.

When you walk into The Springs, it is so inviting. The first things that you see is the therapy department. Everything you can imagine that you would need to help your loved one get better and stronger is there. The people are always smiling and very kind. The nursing staff has always been nothing but kind to everyone I see them interact with. Every staff member from the Executive Director to the maintenance staff is nothing but professional and compassionate. The social workers are very knowledgeable and very helpful. If you are looking for a short term rehab for your loved one or even long-term assisted living, I highly recommend The Springs

Every time I visit The Springs to see friends and members of my church family, or to deliver flowers, I am impressed. It has such a wonderful atmosphere and feels more like a hotel than a rehab center! No matter the time of day, I see CNAs and other employees in action serving and ready to serve. As a florist, I visit many nursing homes and care facilities frequently. None of them feel as welcoming and fresh as The Springs. Everyone I know who have stayed attest to the top notch care provided by staff.

Follow up at the end of my wife's Street and care! The staff all know her, and treat her so kind. The Activities Team has been so good to my Mom. She is truly living her best life!! The therapy team has helped her get stronger and be more independent. The dining staff and other team members spoil her and keep her stocked with goodies.
