Appreciated the Social worker, Rachel. But my husband came home after two weeks there with really bad excoriated areas in groin and buttocks. Found some of the nurses good, some kind of snotty.

The facility was VERY CLEAN! Bright lights shiny floors, friendly staff, hallways were not lined with residents who looked sad to be there. The residents rooms were very roomy, well lit. Equipment was new & up to date. I have never been to such a very nice facility like this one. I wish more facilities were made like this one!

I have had good experiences with this facility. However the last one left a bitter taste in my mouth. This only concerns (Respite care). My husband who has Dementia was at this facility and the evening nurse constantly called me with one complaint after another. I thought I was leaving him in capable hands. Granted it was during Thanksgiving holiday when families usually visit love ones but if he’s on the Alzheimer’s unit shouldn’t the nurses and staff be trained to deal with someone with dementia. Anyway upon returning no one asked to speak with me and I even said to two of the staff I see you had a little episode with my husband this time . They both said par for the course . I gathered my husband and we left. Six months later when I put in for respite care not even at their facility, I get a NO. Why? Upon searching Asperion Care put in his notes that he supposedly threw a chair. Why didn’t anyone tell me that. Call me in the office and say this is what happened. But nothing, Really you can call me and say he’s cursing at people but you can’t call me or tell me when he’s picked up that he threw a chair . Hogwash, and then you put it in some notes that all facilities share so they won’t take him either. I believe the nurse was upset that I was not in town to come get him because when I asked her to let him know he was not at home that was all I could do and asked her what she wanted me to do she said come get him. I don’t know but it’s my opinion that she lied so she wouldn’t have to deal with him again. I am very disappointed in them. If you can take your Veteran somewhere else I advise you do so.

I would say 4.6 Stars. Therapy was amazing. Personal care was amazing. Really accommodated to my personal needs. Everyone was very nice and respectful. Nurses and CNAs were so kind and really attentive. Made you feel more like family then a patient. I also did my do diligence and called and checked facilities. This Aperion Facility may have a bad rating online, but that is honestly has to be old. The level of current care is beyond what i personally expected. If i had a loved one and had to choose. This is the Facility. Now they are not perfect and not all staff is the same. They sure could use a better Pharmacy. Pharmascript in Indianapolis is not the best. So that is a downside. This is not the Facility's fault. Other than that and not having any SOP or JSA for regular every day things. Which if Aperion wanted to hire me as a consultant to do this for them. I wouldn't have a problem.

My sister Joyce came to Aperion Care Demotte for short term rehab. Every day, I would ask her how it was going, and she would always give the highest praise to the staff. She said the CNA’s were kind to her, and the nurses were very compassionate and took time with her. She did enjoy most of the food, but she was never a very big eater. The therapy staff was kind and did push her to do the very best that she could. Thank you to all the Aperion Care staff for taking such good care of my sister.. We would recommend Aperion Care Demotte for your loved ones.

grandma spent 5 days in Aperion (for my respite). she had no complaints this time. last time she had a unpleasant roommate, but never wanted to "be a bother" and never spoke up. i told her to be comfortable in expressing her needs and wants this time and she came home healthy and happy. I (her caregiver) was able to do all paperwork and schedule transportation on the phone/online so i never had to go in! - Extremely helpful and convenient as this was my 5 day respite from caregiving 24/7 for 3 years now. The property and rooms were clean and kept up.

We absolutely love the people/staff/employees/care givers at APERION CARE in Demotte Indiana. Our Vietnam Vet neighbor lost his wife in a car accident and he was sent to a Nursing home/rehab facility in Illinois. It wasn't very nice and he was very depressed. We went to APERION and met with Lauren Hazlett, the admissions director, who was so nice and took us for a tour of APERION. It's a really nice facility and very clean. Lauren did everything she could to help facilitate the transfer. Our Vietnam Vet is doing so much better and he LOVES it there. He's so happy and actually enjoys living at APERION. If you're looking for a top notch nursing home where the employees actually care about their residents, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!!!! FIVE STARS!!!! Thanks to all the staff at APERION and Lauren the admissions administrator. You are the best!!!!

My dear mom was here in Demotte for a short 10 days before our Lord called her home. Every single person we and mom encountered was so sweet and compassionate. My younger sister is in Aperion Care, whereas they seem nice I have some issues. She does not get the therapy she needs and when I call many no one answers so I can't get an update on her. The one time I did get through I had to leave a message but no call back so I'm not happy with them.

We moved our mother to Aperion Care in Demotte, IN in August, 2022. I worked with Heather during the evaluation process. Heather was incredible to work with. She treated my family the same as if Mom was her mother. I recently visited my mother and met with Kelly who’s over the nursing staff. We absolutely made the right choice moving Mom to Aperion. We couldn’t be happier with the care our mother is receiving. The staff treat Mom like they would a member of their own family. Thank you for caring so well for our mother.

My Dad was in Aperion twice over the last few months and recently passed away there, the entire staff was excellent. They were caring and gave him tremendous care during his struggles, they treated him with respect and dignity.

I just went to visit my brother at Aperion Care Demotte. It was a very hard decision to put him in a long term care facility but I could not be happier. The nurses and all caregivers are excellent. I have never seen my brother so happy and look so good. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a clean, caring place for their loved one.
