Our father stayed at Charter (originally Cedar Creek of Godfrey) for 5 years and if we had to do it over again, we would choose this long term care facility, especially under the leadership of Jonna Parker. Jonna was the main reason that we chose this residence and we didn't regret it for a minute. Jonna is both competent and compassionate and she hired nurses and aides who reflect her attributes and her ethos that they treat the residents as if they were their own family members. They met the inevitable challenges with grace and did everything they could do ensure that all residents were safe and cared for. They were particularly exceptional on the day of our father's passing and we would like to thank Jonna and her staff for providing great support throughout the experience. The only complaint that I have is that the cafeteria food is not very healthy or tasty. There definitely could be improvements in that department. Other than that, 5 stars are well-deserved for the care and compassion at this residence

Charter of Godfrey took care of my grandma for the last few years of her life and I can honestly say that they made her last few years a time where she was cared for and loved beyond measure. They made sure the process went smoothly from the tour, to the assessment and the stressful Move In Day... They took care of her as they would their own family and I am forever grateful for them. The staff is more of a family than just a team of employees. They go above and beyond to make sure the residents as well as WE, the family, are comfortable and taken care of. From Jonna, the ED, to the rest of the management team (Ro, Taylor, Regina, Dan, Kea and some others I'm sure!! ) down to the staff on the front lines (Holly, Russ, Bobbie, Arien, and so many more!!!) everyone goes above and beyond every day. THANK YOU CHARTER OF GODFREY!!

The staff is compassionate, attentive, and clearly dedicated to the residents’ well-being. Dad is going to save money staying there! No more other bills. Phone, internet, electricity, water, housekeeping, property taxes, I could list more. He is socializing, instead of sitting in a chair all day by himself. He has help if he needs it. His is served in a restaurant-like setting. He feels safe. He/we love it for him.

My mother and father resides at morningside. And they love it. My father isn't able to get around to well and my mom just can't do it all for him anymore. Last year before the covid I was able to go and visit my parents. The staff who care for my parents were helpful and friendly. Always addressed me and my wife by names would greet us a friendly manner. When I left I felt very comfortable the both my parents were in good safe hands. We again came to visit them during the covid 3 or so months ago. We were not allowed in to any part of the building at that time to keep everyone safe from the virus but some of the restrictions had been lifted and we were able to go and pick them up so we could go to spend time togather and they brought us out table and chairs to visit with my parents in front on the grass. I would have to thank the whole staff for what they do in keeping everyone safe and healthy and for the kindness they have always shown.

Morningside is the best in the area. The staff is friendly, caring and ready to help in any way possible. They provide a variety of activities to keep your loved ones entertained, from music to movies, games and more. They have fantastic dining services and the food is great with plenty to choose from. My grandparents live at morningside and its an amazing place. Its always clean, the food is awesome, a very comforting setting. My MeeMaw always talks about the fun things they have to do along with the entertainment. She especially loves to go on their lunch and outing trips. The staff are always smiling and happy to help and I would recommend morningside to anyone! Thank you for taking such good care of them.

My husband and I have been living at Morningside of Godfrey for a little over a month and the staff and residents here are so very nice. The food is great and they are so attentive to everyone's needs and wants. It's a very clean and organized place to live and we love being able to have our dog here as well. The activities are fabulous and there is always something to do and keep us busy! I love the feeling of us being safe and secure here as well. It's just like home! We would highly recommend anyone to bring your loved ones here or if you are retired! It's perfect!

My parents have been living at Morningside of Godfrey for a little over a month now. They have always been very independent in going and doing as well as living. The team has made this transition to assisted living so amazing! My mom tells me all the time how great it is to not have to clean as well as cook! My dad recently had a fall in his apartment and the staff was so caring and helpful as well as preserving his dignity through it all. I seriously cannot explain the weight it has taken off my shoulders to know that they have such a caring environment as well as people that truly want them to stay as independent as possible as well as safe, all while loving them as their own. And THEY have recently decided that this will now be their forever home and are happy!! I would highly recommend!!!

Welcomed with care and warmth. I love the facility itself; it is clean, welcoming, warm, thoughtfully planned and well maintained. Staff took time (from the Sales Counselor, Director of Nursing, Executive Director, Concierge to Bridge To Recovery Nurse and direct care staff) to really get to know my Dad, asked such great questions of me to ensure they could support him in the best way they could. So easy to connect with someone I need on the staff and get quick responses to my questions and needs. I will update a review in about six months to let you all know how things go more long-term. More than six months later: still fully pleased with the service and care at Morningside of Godfrey. The staff are warm, attentive, kind, and get right on top of tasks need to care for my Dad and the other residents I see on my visits. The environment is clean, cheerful, in good maintenance and very home like. Dad tells me the food is great and what I've observed is appetizing and he is offered a great variety of foods. Activities are thoughtful and varied each day. Dad especially likes the special events like Veterans Day and the live music performances (several each month). Great communication; the staff update about concerns and positives at every visit, the Bridge to Recovery Director and the nurse keep me updated by phone and email and they send a monthly activity calendar to me in the mail.

As a Doctor of Audiology, my primary focus is to provide quality hearing care to the community. I was contacted and asked by the wonderful staff at Morningside to come over for a quick tour of their facility since my office is in the same d'adrian professional park. I have to say that I was very impressed by the friendliness, caring staff, and cleanliness of Morningside. I have been over to help them check a residents ear or even a faulty hearing aid to see if I could get it working. They have once again been very professional and I can see the quality of care a resident would get there. We moved my Mother in a month ago today. I cannot tell you how much this has already helped her. The staff has been wonderful, kind, hard-working and compassionate. The facility is lovely, her rooms are very nice. Mom was not eating properly at home, we can all see an enormous difference in her due to receiving good well-balanced meals for each and every day. Having amenities on site, such as a full beauty shop with extras (manicure/pedicure) and therapy options, this has been a Godsend for my Sister and I. This was one of the hardest decisions I've ever made, moving her out of her home of over 60 years, but it's been one of the best decisions I've ever made too. She is thriving.

What a wonderful community this is! From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. Were our instincts were right! The staff is warm, caring, and professional. They focus on knowing each resident, importantly recognizing that literally every staffer is integral to the well-being of the residents. This attitude goes a long way to fostering the community atmosphere the residents are able to create for themselves. As a daughter living states away, it gave me great comfort, knowing my dad was surrounded by people who genuinely cared about him AND knew him well, as well as being alert to any needs he might need medically or otherwise, always communicating with me when needed. Morningside easily became home to my dad, but also to me. I am grateful for the time he had there.

My family's experience has primarily been in the Memory Care unit at Morningside. Transitioning my father from home to a facility was very stressful but Karen made the process as simple as possible and was sincere in her concern for my mother. The staff there are kind and compassionate and treat those they serve with dignity. There have been a few concerns with regards to keeping my father clean and clothes changed but there seems to be improvement. We have also requested a log of his blood sugar and have had a few instances of no documentation. Overall, my father seems content and that's what matters most.

I can not say enough nice things about the experience that my mother had at Morningside of Godfrey. Mom lived there for 23 months and called it her home. The entire staff could not have been more accommodating to any need. Mom loved everyone and would always say how sweet and kind all were to her. As a daughter, I witnessed the gentle way about all the staff. And as mom's health deteriorated, the loving care only increased. I wish I could remember everyone's name and give the recognition that all deserve. I hope everyone knows just how much our family appreciated the time and care given to mom.
