We moved our mom here as a temporary place for her to stay until she needed to go to e memory care facility!! We toured and discussed a lot of different places but after meeting with Laura and touring this facility, Evergreen was the perfect fit! Laura and the staff were awesome and took great care of our mom while she was there!! The atmosphere was always positive and upbeat!! The facility itself is also really nice and very well kept!!! If you have a loved one or even a friend that needs assisted living, Evergreen is a place you should definitely check out!!!

My great grandmother has only been here since May of this yr, but I can say that this facility is the best she’s been at since she’s left her home. The staff all seems great, very helpful and very caring and friendly. There are a couple that aren’t as friendly, but you will have that at any job. There are a couple different CNAs that my Maw has taken to and 2 different nurses as well. They’re her favorites. And being 103 this yr she def has her days. The other residents are even very friendly and talkative. And the food, of course there’s day where she don’t like it(she’s kinda picky) but I haven’t seen anything on the menu myself that I wouldn’t eat. And they do even offer another menu to order from if you don’t like one of the two different selections they offer daily. I appreciate everyone who helps her and makes her feel right at home.

The compassion and sincere caring for my Mom and her welfare is more than I could have ever expected! Every staff member calls her by name. The residence are friendly and very welcoming as well. Evergreen is a wonderful community. They are honest and straight forward. They work with my Moms unique needs. They listen and are very understanding and empathetic to family as well. It is a beautiful well kept building. The meals are superb with numerous selections per meal. The grounds are well kept with a great screened in gazebo. I cannot thank them all enough!

Evergreen Place is amazing community for seniors! Every time I visit, I hear from residents that are happy and well taken care of, which brings peace of mind for their families. Team members are very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend!

I have lived her a little over a month now. And I have some negative things to say about this place. 1. update 12/21/24 Now we Gastro Enteritis in the facility a lot of people are very sick, me too. They call this stomach flu. the virus comes from contaminated food or water. You can also get from someone not washing their hands after wiping their butts and then handling food. 2. The table are not wiped of between people using the tables. It's a real good chance that you will sit at a dirty table. This never happened at Cabridge house of Maryville. The cooks do a pretty god job most of the time. 2a. There will be item listed on the menu and they will not be available. For example, Catfish was listed twice on different days. Guess what no Catfish, the second time I ask the server what kind of fish we were being served. She did not know. Evergreen place has fixer this problem. The menu now just says fried fish. Ther has been quite a few other items listed on the menu. that will not be what you are served. 3. The servers will not come to your table to see if you would like anything else. It looks like this is how they are trained to behave. 4. Some of the CNA. are very nonprofessional, one evening shortly after I moved In, I was not feeling well, and I felt pretty warm. So I called for a CNA. She held the back of her hand to my forehead for about 3 second and informed me that I did not have a tempter (maybe they don't any thermometers) So now I have bought one for my own to use. 5. I take my own medication, but it is delivered her from the pharmacy that Ever green Place uses. just after the 1st of March 2024 two CNA.'s brought me a bottle of pills (my pain medication) It was Norco (a narcotic). The CNA. then ask me if I wanted to party. At first, I did not respond, I did not believe what I had heard her say. Then she repeated herself (do you want to Party. I later told nursing about this. 6. Yesterday the same CNA. knocked on the door across the hall from me. She wanted the resident (a women) to follow her somewhere the older women were using a walker. I heard the CNA say to the women, (you need to walk a lot faster I have a lot to do, and this is a big building). 7. The maintenance people do a pretty good job and get thing fixed quickly. 8. The building administrator tries to do a good job. 9. Fri. 4-5-24 At dinner all of the dining room are dirty. I am sitting here hoping someone will clean my table. As usual my diner plate, my drink and my silver ware are sat before me on a dirty table. 10. 4-14-24 Went to lunch today. All tables dirty, so I ask to have my table cleaned. It was done but you could tell that they would have preferred that I did not ask. 11. I thought that I would talk about the food here at Evergreen Place a little more. This past Sunday 5-5-24 we turkey and dressing for lunch, what ruined the meal is that they put brown gravy (beef gravy) on the turkey and dressing. the server did not tell me that all they had was brown gravy, otherwise I would have said skip the gravy. 12. For dinner the same day, one of the menu items offered was Swiss steak. The sad thing was that the sauce for the Swiss steak consisted of the same brown gravy with diced up fresh tomatoes in it. If you complain about this kind of thing, you will see that they just don't care. Things like this are happening because the Owner of Evergreen Place wants things to be done like this because they are cheap. 13. I was told by the director of nursing, at the last supportive living place that I live at, was that they were paid by the State of Illinois to STORE PEOPLE. Your loved ones need to think about this before they go into supportive living. I will stop writing for now because I am getting tired. 14 Today the lunch menu offered strawberry shortcake. what part of the people received was like a breakfast biscuit with strawberries on top of it. 16.
