I am currently a patient here at Glen Elston and I do have to say the nurses and staff are very attentive and caring they take your pain and feeling into consideration and are on top of your medications if any help is needed with bathing or dressing they are more then happy to help they are also very friendly if I ever have to go into a nursing home anytime in the future I will be choosing this one they also go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable and pleasing and the activities department also makes sure you have a good time with their activities as well my nurses are Maggie Abby Emy and Manilla my CNA are Lou very wonderful lady she even remembered my uncle that was here in 2009 til he passed away on June 13 09 shalonda and the other ones I can't remember their names but I would like to show my gratitude to all who took care of me my ots and my pts were also very caring thank you for caring for me I really appreciate everything your staff has done for me and I will recommend this place to my friends and family if they ever need a place for a loved one

The director of departments was great . The services I received from nurses, cna, physical therapist, food dept. doctor was great. Even though I was in lots of pain I received great support.

The service is not spectacular and the comfort is not the best as well. It is the minimum (its an okay rehabilitation center).

Caring
My father is a resident here and I am very happy with the facility. He has been at two other places in Chicago that take Medicaid patients and that have a Spanish speaking staff and Glen Elston is by far the best facility he has been at. The staff is attentive and patient with my father who has Alzheimers and has had several strokes. They allow me to bring my dog to entertain my dad, they take him for wheelchair walks and do not keep him confined to a bed. The place is clean and does not smell unlike the other two nursing homes he was at previously.

Caring
As an LPN who has worked doing In-Home Care and in charge of two different Assisted Living/Care Faciities, I know how greatful family members and friends are. Most all of the residents are very thankful as well. The Chgo Glenn facility was beautiful, clean and appeared well organzied by the employees that I met. My take on these faciities is that they are very useful and the residents seem to enjoy the activities and food.
