From the very beginning, the staff has been incredibly kind, compassionate, and attentive. They genuinely care about the residents and go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome and supported.One of the things my mom enjoys most is the variety of activities and opportunities to socialize. She has made wonderful friends, stays engaged, and truly feels like she is part of a caring community. It has been such a joy to see her happy, active, and thriving. There is so much peace of mind knowing she is surrounded by people who treat her with kindness and respect every day. We are deeply grateful to have found such a wonderful community for her. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming, and supportive place for a loved one.

I can only speak on the memory care unit and what are family was told about the level care our family member would be receiving is not what we are getting. My mother is in a government run assisted living and gets better care than what our father is receiving and we don’t have to pay out of pocket for it. Our Father had a spot on his head which we told the staff/nurses several times that we would like him to be seen by the dermatologist, which it took several emails, calls, and meetings to finally get it scheduled to it ended up being cancelled. So we just made an appointment and to took him which ended up being cancer and he had to have surgery to remove it, where if he was seen in a timely manner by their dermatologist he could of just applied a cream. The lack of communication is horrible, the food in memory care is subpar to the food on the 3rd floor. The other day I went and one of the staff, was just removing plates and drinks before the residents were even finished, another time it was noon and a lady was still in her clothes from the day before which a staff member pointed out asking why she had not been changed yet Last week I was there and a guy was standing in the hallway yelling for 5 mins for someone to help him walk to the lounge area and no one came, so I assisted him. We continue to setup calls with the directors of the unit and voice our concerns and nothing seems to change. You expect when you put your loved one in a facility that claims to have won all these awards, rated top notch, and pay a ton out of pocket they are getting exceptional care and I would say that is not the case here.

We had a wonderful time alongside the residents enjoying the party, food, drinks, and live band. We were given a tour of the community and found the rooms and overall facilities to be of exceptional quality. I enjoyed the Clarendale Six Corners Casino 3rd Anniversary Celebration, which was well planned with brochure invitations, appropriate instructions, and colorful decorations. The staff was very hospitable. The food stations provided excellent choices. The Open Bars provided signature drinks. The band provided listening and dancing music. There was a photobooth. There was plenty of space as two floors were used for the party. There were casino games and magic tricks. Proceeds from game token purchases supported the Alzheimer"s Association.

The experience with the Clarendale Six Corners has been nothing short of amazing. My father moved into his spacious, bright, well appointed apartment three years ago. The staff, from Paul to Betsy to Erik to Todd to the Activities Director (and many others!) has been so kind, caring and experienced in helping my father and other residents ease into a beautiful and senior focused facility. I sleep better at night knowing he’s secure and in a wonderful environment. For those looking for their parents next chapter, I highly recommend the Clarendale Six Corners. Update: it’s been three years and now the community is mostly full. Great place with engaging residents

Clarendale Six Corners would be a suitable living option if they actually cared about the staff and those living in the building. The Agency staff is incompetent and do not care about residents while the nurses often ignore residents and their needs to have free time to talk in the hallways and blame others for the lack of efficiency. If you care about your family and your sanity you would not step one foot into this building. I was threatened by a staff member then told i cannot come back or they would call police after i filed a complaint! Disappointing and a pathetic look on Clarendale and its Owners

Clarendale Six Corners is a wonderful place for seniors of stripes. Seniors deserve dignity, support, and care, and Clarendale finds a way to deliver the appropriate amount in a lovely setting. We toured Clarendale to find a place for my mother, who is experiencing moderate cognitive impairment. Originally, we planned to place her in their Memory Care Unit, which is a great place for people with memory issues, including non-verbal and non-mobile people with more staff dedicated to their floor. But after considering all the diverse activities available to residents in Independent and Assisted Living (AL), we opted for AL and have maintained personal caregivers during the waking hours for our mother because she feels better accompanied especially because English is her second language. My mom has been there two weeks and has enjoyed going to two exercise classes per day, art classes, happy hour with live or recorded music twice a week to name a few. There are also activities for more active seniors, including weekly excursions to Saturday evening or Sunday morning Catholic Mass, services at non denominational Bible based church, weekly outings to Jewel, Aldi, and other neighborhood grocery stores, visits to museums, DePaul basket ball games... really too many to mention. We toured several other senior facilities, much closer to where I live, but even though this is a longer drive, it was our favorite. It doesn't smell like a facility. It lives like a high end residential building.

Choosing a senior living residence, more specifically a memory care residence for a loved one is one of the most difficult decisions a family can make. We were fortunate to find Clarendale Six Corners, a place that has not only provided exceptional care for my uncle but has also offered an unbelievable level of support to our immediate family. Even prior to the day we arrived, we felt well supported by the staff at Clarendale. Their kindness and compassion were evident in every interaction. We quickly saw that this wasn't just a job for them; it was a calling. They treated my uncle with dignity, respect, and a genuine warmth which helped ease the transition to a new home. The care from the staff was consistently excellent. What truly sets this residence apart, is the staff's incredible foresight and empathy. They seemed to know exactly what we needed even before we did. During difficult days, they offered quiet words of encouragement, a comforting presence, and moments of levity to lift our spirits. They would check in with us frequently and would sit with us for a few minutes just to see how we were and how they could assist. These were small gestures, but they were life-saving and unforgettable during a time when we were so emotionally and physically drained. We are so grateful to every single person at Clarendale; Linda, Elizabeth, Racine, Paul, Jacinda, and Nurse Rose all stand out to us but there are many many others that that work hard to support the residents. Their unwavering dedication and kindness made a challenging time manageable and gave us peace of mind knowing our uncle was in the best possible hands. They didn't just care for our uncle, they cared for our whole family and we couldn't imagine a better place for our uncle.

This place is wonderful in every way except for the guest parking. It makes no sense to have to park in the 2nd level when the 1st level is full, be able to take an elevator down that makes you exit on Milwaukee Ave (around the corner from the main entrance) and then not be able to get to your car except by walking up the ramp because the elevator is not accessible.

My husband and I are enjoying our stay at Clarendale Six Corners Retirement living facility in Portage Park. The staff is gracious, the building is new and beautiful. Our apartment is spacious and light and there is a calendar full of activities, entertainment, classes, etc. A special shout out to Johnrey, the driver providing the benefit of complimentary transportation to various destinations. Aside from being a brand new, state of the art facility, what really makes Clarendale stand out is the staff. Everyone there made it a priority to know my dad by his first name which really made him feel at home. His stay wasn't planned, but Beatriz went out of her way to coordinate everything within a matter of days.
