My brother is a resident at the Memory Care at Claredale six Corners. I chose Claredale after a horrible experience at another senior living facility in Chicago. My concern has always been that my brother would just sit in his room string at the wall; (which happened at the other facility). (The Clarendale was not open when I needed a place for my brother.) Since being at the Clarendale, my brother has taken dance classes, painted wine glasses, joined karaoke, planted flowers, played relay race, and more. He even attended a contemporary dance performance of a local Dance company. The most important part of the day for those who suffer from dementia is keeping those persons involved and active. The Claredale does this better than anything I have ever seen in Chicago! The space is open, welcoming, and homey with a beautiful terrace. the staff are attentive. Most of all, they are so personable to each resident and families. I highly recommend that you stop by and see the Clarendale. Cynthia

When faced with the stressful decision of having your parent or parents move out of their home into assisted living I can say with confidence that The Clarendale Six Corners would be the best choice. I speak from experience. A little back story. A year ago we moved our Dad from his beautiful apartment ( edgewater beach apartments bryn mar and lakeshore drive) with lake and downtown views from every window to an assisted living facility in Lincoln park. It was a really hard move as he loved swimming in his pool and chatting with the people that lived and worked in the building and it was layered with extra heaviness and hard as we were also facing the music of our Dad being less independent and not safe living at home alone. The move was exhausting and the adjustment didnt ever happen. After 7 months our Dad continued to decline and then an episode happened where we realized we could never trust the care or the moral compass of the facility where he lived . So we moved out. It was the best decision we ever made. I had heard of The Clarendale Six corners as I live in old Irving park in Chicago. I had actually looked into it before online and kept Beatrice's info handy in case we ever wanted to check it out. I made an appt with Beatrice on May 14th and we moved our Dad just 3 days later ! I wanted to wait a couple of months before writing a review so I could be sure I wasn't dreaming. Our Dad has lived at the Clarendale now for close to 3 months The Clarendale Six Corners brought me and my sister's stress level from a 10 before Clarendale to a nice solid 1. I no longer have to make that drive to Lincoln park in traffic to check on our Dad at his previous place. Or wake up worried that they were not checking on him . Best yet is he now lives just 5 minutes from me. His apartment at Clarendale is right next to a beautiful patio where he is able to go outside every single day. His apartment is bright and spacious and they keep it nice and clean. It feels like home. The food at Clarendale is top notch ! I find myself joining him for dinner often as I love eating at the Clarendale. As a former recreational therapist I am super impressed with their activity programming . From music and entertainers during their happy hour to art projects, exercise programming , meaningful out-trips and support groups - The Clarendale hit all aspects of a solid recreational therapy program that doesn't dumb down on the residents as many facilities do. Clarendale Six Corners goes above and beyond . The director Paul is the easiest person to talk to. Just like in any solid company If the person who runs the show is kind and caring so are the staff. Every single person from the waiters in the restaurant to the caring aides to the nurses its like one big family. So If you are reading this review and are grappling with either a move yourself or a move for a parent I can say with no hesitation to say YES to Clarendale. Instead of taking away from your life. The Clarendale Six corners will add to your life 10 fold. Best of luck on your search . Hope to see you at happy hour . I am there every Friday with my Dad 🙂

I was in the midst of writing a view regarding my meeting with Beatrix when it disappeared.. Not sure if you received what I had already written.I live in St Louis and am not ready to make a change at this time. Beatrix met with me and my daughter-in- law. We met with her in an office where she gave us a full description of the facility and necessary information that we needed. Then she took us on a tour, answering our many questions. We were more than satisfied with our time spent during our visit with Beatrix. She has a nice manner about her and left us feeling impressed with Clarendale. -

I am 88 and my wife is 83 (with Parkinson's). We were looking for an Independent Living Facility. We very impressed with the layout and all the people we met. The food was outstanding. We would certainly move there except for one problem -- the neighborhood. We would feel very vulnerable walking ouside at night. For us, that is a deal-breaker.

Hi Amelia, I just wanted to let you know that my cousin and her daughter couldn't say enough nice things about "our place" yesterday! They were amazed at how the staff created such a wonderful environment with their service, friendliness and energy. Also, they were impressed with the spirit of community they felt between the independent, assisted and memory care residents. My cousins were in awe of your energy and dedication in creating this beautiful place. I am happy and proud to be here at Clarendale Six Corners. It is so good to be back in my old Chicago neighborhood! One year ago, I never thought I would be in a place like this. I made the right decision. My family had to make some quick decisions as my mom living in Michigan had a severe stroke in September '23 and was not able to return to her home. The timing of the Clarendale opening and my mom's stroke was serendipitous as I'm not sure what we would have done. I live in the neighborhood and the convenience of a brand new senior building with compassionate care can't be beat. I am a healthcare worker and I know the ins and outs of many senior facilities. I am overall impressed with this facility and when we have had questions or concerns they have been addressed and resolved timely. I am very impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness, autonomy provided to those with disabilities, customer service and activities planned. The overall ease it was to get my mom moved in was great with Bobby's help as it was a lot getting her here from MI. The activities planned daily promote learning and community. They are not silly or juvenile that I think my mom originally thought they would be. Such as they host daily workout classes, museum outings, Spanish classes, game nights, local school student activities and more! My mom has been part of the assistive living part of the building and we have been really thankful and impressed with the nursing staff with Brandon, Sarah and the whole team. They have really gone over and beyond making sure my mom has been cared for well - even Christmas Day when I had to be out of town and she was not well. Diana one of the nursing assistants especially has helped my mom regain her confidence and healing. As this all has been a big change on her independence. **Anyone wanting insight in working with the building's contracted Dr feel free to contact me as I don't think he is a good fit for us. You don't have to use him to be in the ALF part.** My mom has Aphasia from the stroke, which does not affect her cognitive abilities, but limits some of her speech production and word finding. I was very worried about her not being treated well or disregarded when speaking, but we all agree the staff have been very respectful and kind. All talk directly to her, give her time to communicate, allow her the autonomy to make decisions and support her confidence on communicating independently again. This has been a sudden change in my mom's needs while raising my young boys and working. It would not have been as smooth and safe without the care from the Clarendale. Amelia and Paul the executive directors have worked hard to make this a customer service and community forward oriented facility and it shows. My family including my two young sons feel welcomed and love getting to see Grandma so much as we live so close.

Beatriz was interested in my welfare and my previous lifestyle so that my next move would be the best fit. Beatriz knew the floor plans, the amenities and the benefits of this luxurious setting. Most importantly, she took a great deal of time to listen to my needs and show me several different units; they was no rushing nor no hard sales. I toured the AL residence for my mother. I cannot say enough about the Sales Director, Bobby, the Executive Director, Paul, on their knowledge, compassion, professionalism and overall time they gave to me. Unfortunately I could not get my siblings on board with placing my mother at Clarendale. I am praying that down the road, I can place my mom at the best residence I found which is Clarendale. I l toured 8 Assisted Residences located in Burr Ridge, Westmont, Park Ridge, Des Plaines, Chicago , and Prospect Heights. Clarendale clearly stood out in terms of the following: level of care ( no other facility came close to the ratio of caregiver to resident)!, the staff, the environment, and pricing and incentives. All any child wants is to give the best care to their parents, and Clarendale would achieve that goal.

I am a new resident at Clarendale Six Corners and my experience has been very positive. The staff are attentive and caring and very professional. The apartments are spacious and very nice looking as is the rest of the building. I chose this community also because of its location near lots of conveniences and also because it's a brand new building that will be clean and free from some of the problems of older structures. If you are looking to transition into senior living in the Chicago area. I would recommend checking it out.

The Clarendale at Six Corners is a very special place. For those of you looking for memory care for a family member that offers not only an expert caring staff but also a vital engaging environment, this is the place. My sister and I struggled for two years coming to terms with a memory care facility for my mom; they all seemed lifeless and sad or outrageously expensive. From the moment we started talking to the Clarendale, we knew this was going to be a different experience. The location in Irving Park/Portage Park is great, the building is thoughtfully constructed, the amenities are what we wanted. The Memory Care floor was different from any we'd seen. Rooms overlook a peaceful inner courtyard or the city; a dining area with a kitchen and living area adjacent to a private courtyard; a memory-care-only art room with a view of downtown and a memory-care-only salon. HOWEVER, it's THE STAFF that MAKES THE CLARENDALE. Jessica, the Memory Care Director, rolled with us and our difficult mother from day 1. Brittany, the head of nursing, also understood the challenges we faced. Jessica and Brittany have the energy, knowledge, and joy to work with the residents in Memory Care at the Clarendale and give them the affirmation we ALL still need. The entire staff in Memory Care greets my mom like she's their favorite person in the place! Besides Brittany and Jessica, I'd also like to give special "shout outs" to Todd and Bobby. Bobby patiently helped us choose my mom's room, and Todd got us through the business process. I know this is a new senior community in the city, but their company's model is one that gets raves in other parts of the country too. My sister and I are so glad we waited for the Clarendale to open. It was the right choice.

Lovely girl I spoke with and think name was Julia. She answered so many questions but most of all showed the importance of treating seniors with respect and showed me she truly felt this way because she gave information far beyond what was expected when asked. I want to share a wonderful experience I enjoyed last nite with Clarendale Six Corner Senior Residences .For one I'm not at all a big social life but I was able to experience what clarendale call a"real community " which I got a taste of . I meet the most wonderful staff that would provide clarendale resident with a lifetime experience . This " community " will have seniors feeling like we should feel in our GLORY days. Your dinning with be top notch, YOUR living quarters will be top notch and secured , you will be pampered with care from head to toe with onsite salon, barbershop ,wellness and healthcare and what will a " community " be without true companionship for it most valuable citizen us seniors .
