Just wanted to share that my mother had a very good experience at St Joes. She was there for a month healing from hip surgery. She stated the food was very good. Had a nice private room. Staff was very helpful, especially on the PM shift. She loved the rehab staff and The big gym. Last the nurses were very kind. Hopefully she will not need skilled again but if she does we would return. Thank you for all your hard work!!

Very nice and neat place. They take good care of the residents even cutting their hair and grooming them. Talk about Christian driven facility. Hair cuts at no cost on 3rd. Floor. I want to thank nurse Mid for such dedication to details. Do recommend St joseph for rehabilitation purposes.

Claudia is a Rock Star! She immediately jumped in and advocated for my Aunt today! Issue with transfer from hospital to St Joseph. Cant say enough how much we appreciate her defending my aunts rights! Look no further! This is an amazing , welcoming and VERY clean facility. I have toured 20 plus SNF for family members to enter for short term care PT/OT over the last 5 years. This is my top pick. ! I visited without appointment today. Elvis was kind enough to show me around even though it was end of the day.Rooms beautiful & spacious. Shower room warm and medically clean! The chapel peaceful & beautiful. The food smelt delicious.I would definitely choose for myself if I need OT/PT. The entire atmosphere feels like a spa! Staff very friendly & accomodating. My Aunt hasn't completed her therapy yet. I'll update my review after my Aunts stay for therapy is complete. Family of Grace Smith

We are very grateful and appreciative to St Joseph's Facilities on Belmont Ave. The entire staff, especially the nurses and other staff members on the 3rd floor, who took care and helped my aunt Luz Cruz during her time there. Everyone there were very attentive and caring. The place was always extremely clean, the food was very good. We highly recommend this facility to everyone.

My step mother was placed in the sub acute care in 2022. Overall, I think they're professional and do a great job with limited resources. Aesthetically I thought the place was not so great, and I nearly took my mom out the first day. The walls were grungy, the carpet felt dirty, the furniture was solid wood and could be excellent with minor upgrading but it looked janky as it was. The windows also had some coating that made them look constantly dirty. I even went outside and cleaned them with vinegar and newspaper, but it had no impact. We had one bad incident early on with the staff (also on the first day), but I was willing to overlook that after many other good interactions. Generally speaking they were compassionate and the therapy was effective. I appreciated that the front desk came to recognize and trust me. I appreciated that the managers and staff are fairly available, and I think they do care and they do a great job with limited resources. It's hard when there's no right answer. The biggest problem was the temperature. It was a hot summer and the AC was blasting cold air and the inside was actually freezing cold. Nurses kept heaters in their stations and I brought in an (unauthorized, but very safe) space heater for my step mother. I wish I had taken the temperature but it felt to me like it was at most 68 degrees while it was 90+ outside. My stepmother was freezing because she only weighs about 90 lbs. and the cold was a real problem. I know HVAC is really challenging when it's cold at night and hot during the day, but I took a star off for that.

All the staff are SO loving and responsive here. Everyone truly goes above and beyond to provide my father-in-law the best care. They even let my partner and I get married in their courtyard so that he could attend, and they reserved a space for us and made it special. We are so grateful to know that he is in such good hands!

Words fail to express how helpful my experience here was. I came here for rehab on a (non-surgical) comminuted fracture of the acetabulum (3 fractures of the hip socket/pelvis.) Without surgery, that’s a major challenge, especially when I walk up 3 flights of stairs at home. St. Joseph’s was highly recommended to me by a friend in the industry, and I’m so glad I got that recommendation. Their physical and occupational therapists are of sterling quality, consummate professionals who nevertheless manage to be really nice people as well. My therapy was expertly directed to the specific challenges I’ll face back at home, and at work, while I continue my recovery. They made it possible for me to live my life again, despite the fact that I’ll have to do it with a walker and cane for a while. I’m extremely grateful to them for their excellent work. And it wasn’t just the therapists who made my stay here such a positive experience. All the staff are extraordinarily kind, professional, and helpful. I’ve been applauding health care workers from a distance during the pandemic. I’ve admired their heroism. And now that I’ve had to rely on them to take care of me, and to train me to take care of myself, I am in awe of the work they’ve been doing in such challenging times. The folks at St. Joseph’s are now my personal heroes.

I have recently helped my two elderly cousins to move into St. Joseph's Seniors Village. The Marketing Director Sonia has been an invaluable help along the way. She answers all my questions and helps with anything that has come up. She promptly returns my messages and calls. She truly cares and wants to make sure that my cousins are comfortable and that their needs are taken care of.

Breakfast this morning at St Joseph Village — fresh baked croissant, one egg over easy and fresh cut spring watermelon, orange juice and hot black coffee... Fabulous. Watching mom get stronger? Priceless. Update: Saturday lunch. Pimento relish Ham salad on a fresh baked croissant, dill rice, green bean carrot and broccoli mixed veggies. Chicken soup and fresh hot black coffee. Update: Always start with dessert!

My friend and neighbor for 22 years was like a second father to me. Frank Woelfel passed on June 13th after staying at St. Joseph Village. His stay was filled with care, conversation, and LOVE by the staff, especially the CNAs and Nurses! Frank was extremely grateful for this and expressed his desire to remain at St. Joseph's despite options elsewhere. Until the day he died, Frank had two hour conversations with Maria and Joana! He loved you both! I knew how much the friendships meant to Frank because I saw it firsthand. I was present at the Village nearly 5 times a week and we would laugh at the number of 'knocks on the door' during my visits. Frank and I very much appreciate all of you at St. Joseph Village! People and relationships are the most important factors in choosing a home for a loved one as that translates to the level of care received. Frank hit a home run with St. Joseph Village! Thank You!

The SJV staff and management really live their mission - they were welcoming and very accommodating re: our recent experience. The facility is clean, staff are friendly, responsive and very patient with our many questions. Living arrangement changes can be very difficult, and the SJV team are knowledgeable and have been very helpful to our family during this transition. We also really appreciate SJV's attentiveness to COVID 19 prevention/precautions. Thank you !

Came in on today which is Fathers day to visit my father and walked into a beautiful place. The receptionist Angle was sitting at the desk and was very helpful. She had my mother in law laughing so hard that her stomach started hurting. I even offered to give her a tip but her response was its my pleasure to help people that come in but not for money. I really enjoyed this place and im glad my father is here.!! Angle had a lot of funny jokes and was a very good person. Can you please let her know i did a review on her by surprise and to keep up the good work!!!! I would love to donate to the company also if possible!!

I visited there yesterday and i was having a bad day from personal problems. I walk in to my surprise to a good, smiling, welcoming young African american young Lady by the name of Angel. Not sure her last name and i can only remember her first name because thats what she are. I can admit that shes the reason i am admitting my father into the facility besides it looking clean and smelling nice. There should be more people like Angel because whenever you walk in into a place receptionist is what makes the facility. Thanks Angel.. And continue doing a great job!!!!

I can honestly say that I prayed and God answered. My mom was able to get in to this facility rather quickly which I am forever grateful. From the moment she arrived to the day she departed, everyone there and I mean everyone that we came in contact with was extremely fantastic. She was treated and cared for with such respect, dignity, love (yes love) and everyone was so communicative with us for every little detail. I asked God for a place with people who have a heart like His and we received oh so much more. I am eternally grateful to every medical worker, every pastoral person, and every staff member. They are commited to what they stand for and that is what Jesus is about. Hearts of love even in the most difficult times to the best yet to come. I thank them all from the bottom of my heart.

My mom was in St Joseph Village Center in Chicago IL for a month for rehabilitation due to spine surgery. Facility is clean and alot of activities for the patients. Staff was awesome security was awesome. Everything was awesome just very dissappointed at the time of discharged and before discharge social worker Rachel no communication whatsoever. Did not help out in anything. I thought that obviously she would order a walker a commode and other necessary equipment for when patient gets discharged. No one ordered nothing verbally physical therapist and supervisor a day before discharged stated equipment will be order and delivered the next day. Its been a week and nothing. I called Rachel she listened and said will review and check status. All she did was ignored everything and transferred everything to another agency with home health care. Never called me back nothing just basically didnt care. I also emailed her about transportation she stated insurance dont cover etc did not provide no resources by email. On phone regarding equipments basically everything she said insurance dont cover point blank. I would of gladly appreciate resources and more communication from her while my mother was a patient. My mother has been using a borrowed cane which she is not to use because her back is getting worse using it. Also I try to borrow walker and they where not allowed to borrow it. Please Social Workers are here to help not to get rid of patients with no resources.

My dad was recently at St Joseph Village for hospice care. Though it was a very sad and difficult time it was made much easier by the kind, caring attention that my dad and I both received.
