For the 3 months I was there I truly have no complaints. My nurses Leah and Ron were very professional and very compassionate. My CNA's (certified nursing assistants), Victor, Esmeralda, Cecelia, Angelina, and Rose were outstanding people and showed genuine compassion for their patients. Ceilo-the activities person obviously loves her job (been there over 12 years), calls great bingo and a fun blackjack dealer ALSO helps the CNA's deliver hot breakfasts in the mornings, knows every patient name AND room numbers is also a great person. Aurila- the lady that cleans my room daily not only does a great job but truly works at getting to know her patients and is very caring. The physical therapists of Maria and Karla led by Samantha helped to change my life for the better and can never thank them enough. The kitchen staff led by Ben provided 3 full meals a day and alternated the selection of soups twice a month. Additionally if you didn't want something on the menu, there were nine alternate choices. Gomez, one of the primary maintenance workers was extremely attentive to the needs of the patients. All of this happened out of what I truly believe was a GENUINE love for their jobs. Every month there is a resident council meeting that gives everyone that attends opportunities to voice their concerns and follow-up occurs frequently. Maria and Melissa, the Director of Nursing and the Administrator should be very proud of their facility. What I found consistent from those few patients that complained about the food was that they were fast asleep when the food was delivered and by the time they woke up it was cold! Also, there were alternatives for lunch and dinner where it was impossible to not find something that one could enjoy. In conclusion, I would recommend my best friend or any loved one to this place HANDS DOWN. Thanks to everyone who helped make my stay a lot shorter than I ever thought possible.

The only reason I'm giving two stars is for the care my mom received on the first floor. It was the best care she ever received. The second time she came, she was in memory care and received the worst care. They left her in soiled clothes for days on end, they left her in soiled undergarments for hours on end, nurses never came when call button was pushed, they lost her clothes, they had her soiled clothes for a week and never washed them and a worker was accused of abusing my mom. Nothing was ever investigated by the facility! She is not an easy patient but, this place was a house of horrors!!!

My loved one spent 6 weeks at Symphony Rehab in Buffalo Grove. I have had other family members at 2 different facilities in the Northwest suburbs and Symphony far surpassed them. Were there any glitches during the 6 weeks? The answer is yes. But the positives far out weigh any negative experience. All of the managers were exceptional when it came to addressing any issues we expressed. The Administrator to the Director of Nursing to the Social Worker and the head of the Therapy Department and the Reservation Manager were all highly approachable. I would like to mention by name, Lindsay and Andrea, the Occupational Therapist and the Physical Therapist were outstanding. When my family member first arrived at Symphony they could not sit on the side of the bed, could not sit themselves up and could barely walk even with assistance. By the time they left Symphony they were able to walk 200 feet with a walker. My loved one requires dialysis and the fact that Symphony offers dialysis was a Godsend. My loved one had to go to the hospital once per week for chemotherapy and Symphony arranged for transportation. The same for the 10 sessions of radiation they had to have...10 days in a row. If you find yourself in need of a rehab facility I hope you check out and consider Symphony in Buffalo Grove. They, for sure, far exceeded my expectations.

Visited my Dad today, just his 3rd day in. Pleasant staff. Room is large and comfortable enough. Large picture window with trees and a view to the patio. Many indoor respite’s. Currently pleasantly decorated for Valentines Day. Dad hasn’t negatively commented about the food yet. So far a good experience.

We researched many facilities that offered on-site dialysis in the Northwest suburbs and Symphony was by far the best. Lauren, I'm Admitting, went above and beyond to accommodate our Father. The rooms and the facility are very clean. The staff is friendly, compassionate and treat their patients like humans and not numbers. Highly recommend this rehab !

Our sister spent her last weeks on earth at Symphony, mainly on the rehab floor. We cannot begin to tell you how grateful we are for the care and compassion that not only she received, but also our whole family. Every staff member from the kitchen, the custodial, the fantastic CNAs and the nurses especially Connie, Max, Cece, Allison and Julia were her angels and went above and beyond to be there for all of us. Everyone who went to visit her praised us for finding such a wonderful place to take our sister for her final home!

I have never written a review on google, but feel I must. My father spent 3 1-2 weeks there and not only was the care amazing, but the staff do a great job of communicating with family and keeping them informed. After having a nightmare experience at a hospital prior to coming to Symphony, it was such a relief to have such wonder care and follow-through.

I love working at this facility as an occupational therapist. The administrator & her management team are very friendly, approachable, responsive & caring. Patient/resident satisfaction is a huge priority for everyone. Nursing staff are very knowledgeable. There are lots of services offered to patients at Symphony of Buffalo Grove, including dialysis, pulmonary rehab, restorative, activities, wound care, psychiatric support as well rehabilitation (OT, PT and speech). Therapy is offered by Select Rehabilitation & I am a proud member of that team. The facility is uplifting, clean, beautiful & remodeled. I know there are lots of factors to consider when you need to choose a skilled nursing facility for yourself or your loved ones. At Symphony of Buffalo Grove, everyone makes an effort to address all our patients needs as well as making them happy. It is all about team work with a fantastic leader leading the team. My uncle was at Symphony for short term rehab after a long hospital stay. I would ask him daily if everything was going well if he had any issues and he always said that everyone was treating him very good. He is a very quiet man but I saw him connect with the staff in various departments during his stay from the nurses that took care of him regularly like Ana or the therapist that he grew fond of working with such as Amy and Mary he looked forward to therapy and I believe part of it was for the connection he made with those ladies! He is a very picky when it comes to eating but he was able to find options he liked when filling out the menu. He has never been a real fan of Doctors but really seams to like the doctor he was given as his primary and he was extremely personable with him during his visits.

I would never recommend a facility that I would not place my own loved one but Sumphony of Buffalo Grove is not only astetically pleasing but excelling clinically. They offer a large majority of clinical services including onsite hemodialysis, wound care and pulmonary rehab just to name a few. With top of the line medical equipment, excellent nursing and highly recommended phycians Symphony of Buffalo Grove has become a true medical resort.

I came here for physical recovery from a broken hip but because of the great care, kindness, compassion and patience shown to me by the wonderful staff here, my stay here has become so much more than that. Thanks to Symphony I have not just made great strides physically but emotionally as well. The staff made me laugh a lot too and there was even a baby bird rescue by some of them during my stay! This place is amazing - and the food is delicious too! From the O.T's to the P.T's to the CNA's to the doctors and nurses, the social directors, the cleaning crew and the kitchen staff and everybody in between, God bless you and I leave here with a bittersweet but accomplished feeling and hope to visit sometime in the future to return the good cheer. I'll sum it up in three words: YOU GUYS ROCK!! 🙂

I love Symphony because they gave me the best possible care in the world besides showing me love and compassion! They also watched over me everyday when I was there when I left there yesterday with tears in my eyes and a heavy heart but I know that I will remember the good times. Note: This is not a solicited or paid review. I was not asked to do this but am doing it of my own accord since I was Yelping anyway.(feel free to check my profile and see the date of posting and how many other reviews I posted) I am an employee of this facility and have been for the past 3.5 years. I started off as a C.N.A., then moved to 2 different departments. In my time working at this facility, I can say with fair certainty that is is one of the top facilities around. I have the opportunity, in my position, to speak with many family members. Many of them have shopped around for a facility and end up choosing Symphony of BG. I hear all sorts of reasons but several of the big ones include: Facility doesn't smell when you walk through it, they like the staff, and they like the care (nursing and customer service). I have personal experience with my paternal grandmother who was in a facility nearby and the place was so very quiet and felt too sterile and impersonal. I also hear from one of my parent's friends who have had to place a loved one in a facility in the surrounding area say they did not like where they were. In-house dialysis is also a great bonus for patients in need of those services. To be fair I do hear many of the complaints and pass them along to the proper department heads but I hear about 3/4 more positives on these same issues than the 1/4 negatives. The C.N.A. team puts effort into the work they do and do their best for each and every resident/guest. The nurses are constantly on the go accommodating the residents/guests with medication, updates, care as needed, and many more things. Admissions, Customer Service, and Social Services are three of the hardest working, non-nursing, departments in making sure each resident/guest is satisfied with their stay, has everything they need outside of nursing, and work tirelessly to create and maintain a positive and pleasant stay. Symphony of BG also offers: speech, occupational, and physical therapies. I have had the opportunity to work with all of these departments and, having had physical therapy myself (at another company) I know how they work and cannot think of another place I would go, if I could, to get therapy. If I personally had a loved one in need of care in the Chicagoland area (esp. NW burbs), I would request their stay to be at Symphony of Buffalo Grove so that I knew they were getting the care needed and the best therapy available to them. Again, this was not asked of me to provide this review, it was by choice as I was already on Yelp for other reviews and just decided to look up my place of business and saw that my thoughts were in need on this page.
