My friend has been living there for a few months. Whenever I visit the staff is friendly & very helpful. Belmont is very clean & the staff is very accommodating. It is a much better place & the care she gets is so much better than the places she has been before. It's a pleasure to visit her there. The menus each day sound great & my friend says the meals are delicious!

BV, Buffalo Grove is the best of the best. I have high praise for the staff members. The group leaders WERE very professional and did a wonderful job. I saw different leaders in different group settings and I was HIGHLY impressed by all of these WONDERFUL people. The care, the staff, the many wonderful and different activities were on a high level. The residents were respected. The rooms I remember as BEAUTIFUL and homey as well as the public areas. The food was DELICIOUS!!! I write this in the past tense because I was there for visits in the past. All of the staff members were super friendly and WELCOMING into the facililty. I LOVE BV!!!

I cant say enough about how much The great team at Belmont has bent over backwards to make my Aunt feel welcomed and important there during a difficult transition. She came in right at the beginning of COVID, but they really went out of their way to make her feel special. There has been ups and downs, but I found that they were really responsive to all our familys concerns. Couldnt ask for a better partner in caring for our loved one. Its been since July and my Aunt loves it there and her new life after moving in from out of state. Debbie, Jorge, and all the PALs are absolute saints!

My mother moved to Belmont Village of Buffalo Grove ten months ago after a short stay at another assisted living-memory care facility. Unfortunately, nursing-aide staffing in the assisted living unit of that former facility was not equipped to support my moms increasingly demanding physical needs so we were told that she was going to have to be moved to memory care despite the progression of her Alzheimers not yet requiring such a placement. We said no and started looking elsewhere. Thankfully we discovered Belmont Village. Management at the Belmont Village facility was able to offer my mother a very nice apartment on an assisted living wing that was well staffed to meet Moms physical needs while independently placing her in the Circle of Friends activity group that best matched her level of cognitive ability. Mom loves living at Belmont Village and calls it home. To think just over a year ago, she had reclusive tendencies living alone in a house with the shades down all day and no longer initiating social contact with her neighbors and friends. The staff at Belmont Village has done an amazing job helping my mother emerge from her cocoon. She is socially active in her Circle of Friends group and participates in most planned activities each day. Her favorites include bingo 3 times a week, entertainment twice a week, a weekly wine and cheese social and other special game events when offered. Her memory and cognition are challenged every day throughout the day with personalized activities and her physical needs and personal hygiene are well cared for. Also Josephines Kitchen offers lots of healthy choices including fresh seasonal ingredients; the meals are well prepared and always delicious. Bottom line: Mom is very happy and we are deeply thankful to Belmont Village of Buffalo Grove!

I would highly recommend Belmont Village. My Mother was at Belmont Village Buffalo Grove Assisted Living for the last 3 months of her life. She was in Rehab Presence Life Center and was not ready to go home and stay by herself. We expected her stay to be much longer. They did a great job in getting my mother to participate in activities--everyday work outs--bingo--sing along's. I never thought she would make friends--but she did. She even helped others at Bingo--who could not hear or see well. The management staff Deb, Maureen, Mary are very helpful in getting Mom acclimated to a new place. They made sure that the physical and occupational therapy was started by the doctor. They even help in obtaining a Dr. that would visit her in her room. She enjoyed the food and Fred the manager of the wait staff helped with food orders when she was not feeling well enough to come down to the eating area. Fred was always asking how she was feeling. The Pal's Helana and Kimberly were very helpful in getting Mom to and from the eating area. It was the best place for Mom. My sister and I have No Regrets over her care. Thank you Belmont Village Family.

I visited Belmont Village Buffalo Grove. The most important thing is seeing people out in the common areas socializing and not seeing people in their rooms but actually enjoying the social opportunities. The staff was very good. It's very convenient and very well kept up. The rooms were on the smaller side but kind of fit the needs of the people that were in there. There was a casino day activity where they were doing different casino games in the activity center.

My mother has been at Belmont Village for four months, and it has been an extremely good experience for both of us. When we needed a memory care facility in a hurry, Debbie went out of her way to help us. She got us a great room, helped to find the movers, and made sure everything went smoothly. The staff, from Maureen the head honcho, to the floor nurses and other floor personnel, to the serving staff and receptionists, is dedicated and helpful. I always feel as though my mother is safe, well cared for, eating well and never lonely. In fact, the thing that impressed me the most on my original tour, was that they told me my mother would never feel alone. I loved hearing that. If you are in need of a facility, this one is the gold standard.

My mother has been living at Belmont Village for over a year now. The care and support we have received has been exceptional. I can't say enough about the staff, nurses and administration. The facility is always clean and the food is great! My mom is treated with love and respect. Any time there has been a change in my mothers behavior, we have been guided in the right direction. Our lives have all changed as my mom's memory has declined but I have to say, I sleep better now knowing that she is safe!

I placed my mother at Belmont over two years ago. This has been a God send for my mother and our family. She started out in the Circle of Friends. The state of the art activities, the medical supervision, and the staff made this an absolute perfect fit for my mother. My mother enjoyed all that was available, the dinning, the lunch bunch, wine and cheese, daily activities, the salon for hair cuts and manicures, and more. It was with the Memory Care Coordinator, Christine's watchful eye and amazing skills that it was determined that my mother needed to be transferred to The Neighborhood. She was proactive at just the right time. She guided my family on how to make this possible with as little disruption to my mother. She organized the transfer of her furniture & belongings to be placed exactly like she had it in the Circle of Friends apratment. This was accomplished while my mother was doing her daily activities. At first my mother was resistant to go to the Neighborhood as she knew she should be going up the elevator. With Christine's patience, guidance, care, and knowledge of Alzheimer patients, she spent the better part of the day helping my mother to go to her new apartment on her own accord. However, Christine didn't just "drop her off." Christine kept an eye on her throughout the rest of the day as well as the days that followed. She would pop into her apartment and make sure she was doing ok and participating in the new group activities.. She personally made sure over the next few weeks that she was making the transition smoothly. In addition to Christine's amazing knowledge, she has such a quite unassuming presence that seems to give the residents a sense of calm. At Christmas I witnessed Christine's ability to turn my mother's agitation in to joy and had my mother singing along with her. I wanted to jump up ans say, "Where have you been when I was dealing with this agitation?" I simply can not say enough about Christine's knowledge, skills, and ways. It is beyond obvious that this is more than a job for Christine, it is a calling.

Our parents lived in Belmont for a short period of time, Mom on the assisted living floor and Dad on the memory care floor—the first time they did not live together in over 55 years. What could have been terrible turned out well; their time at the Belmont was positive for each of them because the staff is so warm, caring and respectful and involved with the residents. This is a home where the staff knows everyone’s names, and there is a comfort in that.In fact, we so appreciate the care our parents were given that we have been volunteers since our parents passed away. It has only increased our appreciation for the staff. We volunteer with Lori Walocha who is an Activities Program Coordinator. Lori’s passion for her job and dedication and devotion to the residents is unsurpassed. Her projects help the residents with healthy activities for body, mind and soul. The activities change each year and she develops new research-based plans, like the wonderful art program she did with the residents this year. A tremendous amount of work goes into each activity, and I personally know that Lori spends hours at home on preparation and development. Better than that, though is the enthusiasm, warmth and encouragement that Lori brings to her job and to the residents. She treats them like family—because, clearly, to her they are family and she loves them all, and they all feel the love. That is what sets this Belmont Village apart from other residences. There are many new facilities being built for seniors today—seems to be one going up on every block—but it is not the building that makes the place. It’s the people who work there, and this Belmont Village has a great people.

My mother is currently under their care, they are nothing short of excellent. The facility is clean, the staff is courteous, & the food is surprisingly good! Maureen, the director, is such a nice lady who seems extremely interested in my mothers well being! I couldn't be happier with my decision to move her out of the old place & into here. If you're looking for a good place to put your parent... look no further! Thanks everybody!

We went to Belmont Village Buffalo a couple of months ago. The place was OK, but I think it was more like a nursing home. It was very clean and did not smell of anything. Everybody was nice, warm, and inviting, but it seemed like a little depressing. The staff was very professional, but they are more by the book, like everything had to be done this way or that way instead of thinking about the needs of the person.

My wife was a past resident of Belmont Village. They were understaffed, so residents helped other residents. The facility was clean, the carpets were clean, and there weren't any odors. The activities program was good, and they had a music program and live entertainment program every Friday and Wednesday. The maintenance and cleanliness were good.

Belmont Village Buffalo Grove was a nice facility. I thought it was a bit too fancy on the outside, but the inside was clean and had nice, good-sized rooms. The people were polite and seemed easy enough to talk to. I didn’t see any issues.

We really liked Belmont Village Buffalo Grove. The staff was very friendly, nice, and attentive. It was clean and not a huge place. The rooms were nice, and we met the activities director who was awesome. The problem was that it's way too expensive for us. The rooms were of a nice size, and the grounds were nice, though they didn't have a big outdoor area, only a small one. The area was nice, and the front of it looked very posh and a little more high end. The dining area looked like a restaurant; residents sit down and order what they want from the menu.

Debbie L. was an extraordinary help to me. In our search for a facility that would be able to accommodate both my mom (with Alzheimer's and vascular dementia) and my dad (who was more independent), Debbie went out of her to way to work with our specific needs. Unfortunately, the room set up we needed was out of our price range. This was my first choice for a facility, but we just couldn't make it work. If you're looking, do yourself a favor...check it out!!!
