My Mom has recently moved into Camellia place. We left a very large facility and are very happy with the care and coziness of this place. My Mom is very well treated and cared for by the lovely staff and caregivers.

Camellia Place in Woodstock Georgia is an excellent choice for your loved one needing special care and accommodations. I was first introduced to Camellia Place during their building phase. The cottage campus design allows for specialized care at every stage of life. The associates work as a team to ensure the residents are cared for with kindness and respect. I am a service provider, not a sales person and I personally recommend Camellia Place Assisted Living.

I find it to be very friendly warm place to work. And I love the care that they give to their residents here. They seem to really care not only about the residents but about the staff also. It's been a wonderful experience so far.

In the month+ that my Dad has been living at Camellia Place I’ve seen him go from barely living to thriving in more than one way. His diabetes was really out of control and in the 1 1/2 years he was at another facility he only declined or stayed the same. Now his glucose levels have balanced out and do not spike nearly as much. He has always loved being outside and the staff at Camellia Place has gone above and beyond to allow him that pleasure. I live out of state and always feel like I pester the staff asking for updates only they have never once made me feel like a burden, they are always readily available and provide honest feedback. Mabel is truly an angel in my eyes and I am deeply grateful to her and the staff at Camellia Place for providing the care, kindness and environment my Dad can be safe and taken care of when he needs it most.

Warm and caring staff. Really loved the "small community" feel of the individual homes. Woodstock turned out to be not our first choice of locations for my Dad, but Camellia Place certainly checked all of the boxes otherwise!

The staff at Camellia Place are so friendly and welcoming. I wish they had been around when my granddad was suffering with Alzheimers. I think they wouldve made his time much better.

What a great experience! My mom has been at Camellia Place for almost two months and it has been a great move for her. While we were initially hesitant to move her during COVID we got to the point where we had to. Camellia Place has done a fantastic job enabling a safe and healthy transition. My mom loves it! She is actively participating in exercise, art, music and other activities after being largely isolated for almost a year. You always wonder whether or not you are doing the right thing for your parent and we couldnt be more pleased with our decision to choose Camellia Place.

As a local long term care insurance agent, Camellia Place is my top recommendation for exceptional memory care and assisted living for not only my clients but my friends and family as well. Camellia Place offers a truly unique experience and I have seen the difference they make in the lives of the residents first hand.

Making the decision to move a loved one into assisted living is not easy, especially when that loved one was a very active 70-something who still enjoyed riding his bike and being outdoors, but whose declining memory made continuing to live alone a hazard to his safety. When my sister and I looked for the perfect place for our dad, George, we learned very quickly what we did not want, which was a large, hotel-like facility that was overwhelming to him, a person who never liked being around a lot of people. We toured a handful of places before discovering Camellia Place. I knew as soon as I walked in the door that this was the place for my dad and he moved in shortly after. I remember the first night we left him, after preparing his room, getting him settled in, and saying our goodbyes, my sister and I pulled the car around where he could not see us so we could make sure he walked back to his new home safely. It was akin to dropping our child off at school and praying that the other kids would be nice to him, that he would not eat alone, and that he would make friends and be accepted. It did not take long for Camellia Place to become dads home and for him to settle in to his new life. In fact, when we would take him out to lunch or on outings (in the good ole days before COVID), as soon as we were in sight of Camellia Place he would say, Theres my home. In a very short amount of time, we saw our dad become someone we barely knew. A social butterfly of sorts, frequently starring in Facebook posts, going to water aerobics, painting, fishing, and even riding his bike with Andrew. Dad, who was very much a loner for as long as I knew him, began to enjoy people and was participating in activities that he never even considered doing in his pre-Camellia Place life. He even met a lady friend and companion that he adored and they would often smooch on the front porch (again, pre-COVID), much to the dismay of the other residents. Dad lived at Camellia Place for almost two and a half years and I truly believe those years were the happiest he had been in some time. I cannot thank the staff of Camellia Place enough for all that they do and the care, love, and support they provide their residents. Dad loved the caretakers and staff of Camellia Place and I felt that love reciprocated when I would see their interactions with him. Dads health declined rapidly over the last couple of weeks and on February 9th, he passed away peacefully in his home at Camellia Place. My sister and I were able to spend time with him during his last days and the care and support provided to him and to us during those days was more than we could have asked for. I would like to give a special shout out to Andrew, Julia, Mina, Gary, and Dylan who will forever be heroes in my book. They took care, compassion, and support to the next level and I cannot thank them enough. I will always have fond memories of Camellia Place and of dads happiness during his years there. This facility really is the best of the best!

Simply the best care I could have gotten for my dad, the team at Camilla Place have been so wonderful to my dad and to me. They truly care about him and he knows it. I ask him all the time and he's been there two years, how are they treating you. He always says like a king. Thank you. Adam

My mom has been living at Camellia Place for over two years now, and I'm delighted to say that our entire family (including mom) has been so satisfied with our decision for her to live there. We toured many facilities and Camellia Place was an easy choice. The campus itself is immaculate and designed thoughtfully to feel like home, whereas most facilities feel more like a hotel. Their staff are all wonderful, caring, and best of all - my mom loves them. It is amazing to see her connect with the people who look after her, as well as with the other residents. She even has a boyfriend! Camellia Place is truly five stars - they have a salon where she gets her hair done, massages in her room, and the activities are pretty robust, including live music, art, and field trips. Making the decision to move from home to assisted living is really difficult, but this place is an absolute gem.

Camellia Place of Woodstock is a great place to work. But they are a very one-sided place of employment. They have a management team that will congratulate you and pat you on the back one day then stick a knife in your back the next. I was daily lead and weekend supervisor and schedule coordinator there since I returned from Savannah in February. I have had my employees best interest at heart and unfortunately upper management has not been on my side the whole time. I am not a quitter so despite the resistance, I have done my best. Last Thursday I was diagnosed with pleurisy and my physician had me off work until yesterday. During the time I was off I had a family issue and became my grandmother's primary caregiver. I hired a staffing service to provide in home care for her so it wouldn't interfere with my job. When I returned to work yesterday, Unfortunately my manager and executive director felt that since I was no longer to be available for 12 hour shifts 6 days a week that I did not fulfill my original job expectations. I offered 8am to 6pm and every other weekend. But that was not acceptable. I'm hurt that I put in my best and was just dismissed as though my efforts were never appreciated. I wish all my coworkers the best and I hope that one day management will realize that the employees should be top priority due to the fact that they are the front line of care for our residents and the backbone of any facility. No hard feelings. It is what it is. I've already got another job before I ever got home yesterday. But my pride and my feelings are hurt. Just goes to show. The amount of work and commitment you have for a place doesn't ever matter in the end. Thanks for letting me vent... #neverbeenletgoinmylife #yesimalittleinmyfeelings #theyregoingtomissme #imgoingtomissmycoworkers Signed respectfully.. Pamela Davis

My father arrived this summer. It has been a difficult transition for him emotionally. Of course, the place is beautiful with lots of very sweet people living there. What makes this place wonderful is the kindness shown by the staff. It is nothing short of amazing. My father, in particular, cannot say enough nice things about Ashley, Dennis, and Clayton - we are all lucky to have them.

The wonderful staff at Camellia Place took excellent care of Dad during his stay! The staff was always smiling and encouraging. The food very good. The whole place spotless. And the physical therapy he received during his rehab after repairing a hip fracture was top notch. At Camellia Place, there truly is a different feel from many/most other assisted living facilities. There is a comfortable, relaxed and happy vibe throughout. Almost like being on vacation! If you have a loved one who needs this special care, I would whole heartedly recommend looking into Camellia Place!

From the moment you drive on grounds at Camellia Place, you feel that you are somewhere unique and special. Birds are chirping, the landscape and flowers are beautiful, and there is a certain calm and peace. Each home has a loving, family atmosphere. The residents seem happy and engaged. Every detail from the lighting and temperature to the music, furniture, and smell of baked goods has a calming effect. You feel right at home while you visit with your loved one. You can sit at their kitchen table and enjoy coffee or tea with a delicious snack, or if you prefer you can relax and visit in their living room. You'll see family pictures all around, and sense that everyone there truly cares about the residents and visitors alike! Many times when I've visited someone in assisted living, I've felt anxious and soon ready to leave. At Camellia Place, I feel relaxed and find myself wanting to stay longer and join in some of their activities. What a blessing Camellia Place is not only to their residents, but to their families and the community! THANK YOU

I was so impressed when I visited Camellia Place because of how different it is from any other community I had been to! It felt so much like a home and the staff is clearly following passion, not just working a job. It is evident that the residents feel more than cared for, they feel special.

This is an amazing place. The staff is incredible with how involved they are with the residents and genuinely care for them like they are their family. As a local chiropractor, I’ve had the chance to speak there several times and had such a great time every visit. Everyone there was happy and wanted to be apart of what was happening in their own little community. I’d highly recommend them!

My mother has been a resident of Camellia Place since it opened its doors in 2016. My mother is very happy there. The entire staff is warm, friendly, and loving, and they make a tremendous effort to know every resident and treat them like family. I'm lucky to live within walking distance, and I visit nearly every day. I can't say enough about this wonderful place and everyone who works there. I bless the day I moved my mother to Camellia Place.

My journey with Camellia Place started when it was merely floor plans on paper. It was a privilege and honor to work with founding partners Lauren Clifton and Denise Swords along with their growing team to help them realize their vision, their dream. Born of personal experience, Camellia Place is truly a special place in an innovative neighborhood environment. ... About a year ago, my inlaws' mailing address changed to 294 Rope Mill Road in Woodstock! Talk about meant to be and coming full circle. As the saying goes, "a coincidence is a miracle in which God chooses to remain anonymous." Camellia Place is truly a blessing, adding life to the years of residents and families alike. Thank you, Denise, Lauren, Brad, Andrew, Lisa and the entire CP family.

My mother has been a resident in memory care at Camellia Place since June. From the very beginning of the application process, I have been so impressed with the individual attention both the families and residents have been given by the staff. I feel so welcome as a family member, and my 88 year-old mother, who has many health issues, is blossoming there. I really can't say enough about everyone who works there. They are so accommodating to their residents, and try as hard as they possibly can to get to know every resident well and work to meet their needs. The place is just beautiful, the food is better than my own, and the airy, family-type housing set-up is wonderful, with only 16 residents per home. Thank you, Camellia Place, my mom and I couldn't be happier!
