Moved my mom into assisted living from a different senior facility in town where we had been disappointed in the quality of care. We’ve only had her there about a month. But so far, everyone has been extremely kind and helpful. They seem to genuinely care about the residents as people. An all-too-rare quality in senior care that I value highly.

My father-in-law is a new resident at The Phoenix at Lake Joy and it has been such a good experience for him and for our family. The staff made the transition an easier experience and worked with us in the time of COVID restrictions to ensure his safety as well as ours during the move in. Someone is always checking in on him throughout the day, asking if he needs anything, and spends time talking to him or inviting him to activities with others. It makes us happy to see photos posted on Facebook and him smiling in every one! We are so pleased and thankful for this facility and the management and supportive staff!

2020 has been a trying year for sure, but I would like to say for my family (and me personally) that Phoenix has done a great job managing its operations through the myriad of problems associated with care of our mother. I attribute this to your leadership and professionalism. Your staff has obviously been informed on the hazards of Covid and has bent over backwards to keep your facility safe for all. Your communications have been clear and timely. Fantastic managementKeeping guidelines during the holiday season must be difficult on your residents and their families for sure…but…we know that our mother is in good hands...and thats what we want for her. We are optimistic about the Covid vaccination program starting soon…so…lets put 2020 behind us and move on to a more normal 2021Joel ReardeThank you for all you and your staff do!

Placing mom in the care of others was a gut wrenching decision. There just isnt a doggone fun thing about it. As soon as we walked in The Phoenix at Lake Joy I felt very relieved. We were greeted warmly, given the grand tour and provided with all the information we needed to make our difficult decision. All without an appointment I might add.Before The Phoenix, I thought of elder care aswarehousing our older family members. Now I know that mom is receiving much better care than I could have provided. She is happy, as happy as dementia will allow her to be. She is healthy, and so very well cared for. Staff members are very efficient and professional, but they feel like family members. They are responsive, often immediately, to any needs I have. I have instructed my children to place me at The Phoenix at Lake Joy when I become too challenging for them to provide care for me. Much respect, and genuine love, to all who labor so diligently for my mom. P

My mother was living with me after determining she did not need to be alone. We realized after two years she needed more care than I was able to provide while working. She first moved in to the assisted living side of The Phoenix at Lake Joy and seemed very happy. We transitioned her to memory care after 8 months. The staff at The Phoenix at Lake Joy could not have been more helpful and supportive during both of these moves. They communicate regularly through emails and texts. I am so thankful she has such great caregivers. I appreciate the effort they take to upload pictures to Facebook of the activities the residents do. I highly recommend this facility.

As most anyone in my age group feels, making the decision to place our parents is extremely difficult. They have been our mighty cavalry our entire lives, surely we can help them stay in their homes in their time of need. We tried desperately to keep that promise, but I realized I am now the cavalry and it is my turn to ease their fears and coach them into the next scary stage of life. After touring several places we chose the Disney World for Seniors aka The Phoenix At Lake JoyAfter hearing from a very dear childhood friend she had placed her mother there the decision was finalI grew up in Warner Robins and if any of my old friends or classmates are looking for a place for their loved ones, I give them 5 stars. Please message me if you have parents there or plan to place them. We will have meet my parents. They will at least have our shenanigans in common.Thank you so much Rena, Ashley, and Michelle for making our move in smooth. We found out less than two weeks ago that my 98 year old nana was no longer going to be able to live alone due to early stages of dementia. She was living in Michigan at the time, and she needed to be closer to family. We immediately started looking for an assisted living and memory care home. The Phoenix had exactly what we were looking for. Rina has been by our side for this entire process and has made sure it could go as smoothly as possible. Without her, I dont think this move would have been possible. They were ready to have her moved in within a week. They have welcomed her with open arms and treated her like family from the time we dropped her off. COVID makes times like this even harder, but the staff have updated me with calls and texts the entire day of move in. Rina is exceptional and I have been impressed with the other staff members I have met as well. I highly recommending the Phoenix for anyone looking for a retirement community for their loved ones.

My wife and I recently relocated her 98 year old mother to the Phoenix Senior Living Facility. Mom was diagnosed with early stages of dementia and could no longer live alone. Our family made the decision to move her from her home state of Michigan to Georgia to be closer to family . Our first contact was via phone with Rina while we were still in Michigan. Rina immediately put us a ease and explained what the Phoenix had to offer our family and suggested assisted living.We initially thought she may need memory care but after talking with Rina we realized that making a move from Independent Sr Living center to a memory care unit would not meet Moms current needs. Rina explained in detail the care she would receive in assisted living vs memory care. We were impressed with the information she provided from our first phone conversation to move in day. Our family made the decision to make Georgia and the Phoenix her new home primarily because of Rina.Rina and the entire staff at the Phoenix have gone above and beyond our expectations to make Mom feel welcome as a new residentWe are also impressed with ED Director, Kerri Kitchens, and her team, who have equally exceeded our expectations. The team has been meticulously attentive and provided solutions to meet our every need.We would definitely recommend Phoenix Senior Living for your loved ones. Rena in admissions is wonderful - she helps you in every way she can and goes out of her way to give you options while giving you her time and concern. Could not ask for a better person to assist us in this time of uncertainty and need for an elder care home. The facility is beautiful and well run. 5 stars...Amazing Assisted living facility!!! Rina, our initial contact person, was a fabulous communicator! She helped my husband and myself navigate our way through this very personal, complicated process of finding a place for my mother-in-law. Rina helped make this transition smooth, with her many years of experience, along with her honesty and genuine compassion! My husband and I feel confident that our mom is in a great place!!! Were so appreciative for fabulous folks out there who still care and genuinely love our often neglected and forgotten older generation. Rina has given us that peace of mind that all will be good. Wonderful Facility. Building is very beautiful.. Staff really cares about the residents and you can feel it. They are always staying busy with lots of activities and events. My grandma absolutely loves it here and i love coming to visit. We toured every Assisted Living Facility in the area and fell in love with this one.. we made the right choice

My mom has lived here since December. I am very pleased with the level of service and the facility itself. The building is absolutely beautiful. They have a theater, beauty salon ( which my mother enjoys weekly ), a bar, library and a gorgeous dining room that serves delicious food. My mom is a very picky eater and they offer a variety of options for her which is wonderful. The staff goes beyond my expectations. They are so caring and loving.. they have become like family to all of us. There is no better place in the Warner Robins area

My mom, Margie McDowell, is a resident at Lake Joy. We have been very satisfied with the facility and its employees. She has been living on the Assisted Living wing for almost three years,but recently needed to be moved to the Memory Care wing. I was very worried and concerned about how the transition would take place and how my mother would handle the move. We needed to do this amidst the Covid19., so we were not able to move her or be there with her. The director, Kerri, assured us that mom would be their first priority during this change. The maintenance, housekeeping team took care of physically moving moms furnishings to an identical room. They even took pictures of her previous rooms setup so that they could set up moms new room just like the prior. They made sure that during the move mom was taken care of . Several caregivers kept her occupied and calmed her as her little world was being upended. We appreciate the thought and care behind the move that made this experience as seamless as possible. Thanks to all at Phoenix at Lake Joy.

Kudos to the directors who is very knowing of everything that takes place. The director is a wealth of knowledge for those like myself that this was the first time of every having to put a family member into a facility.

Great place for my Dad. He has been in other Memory Care Facilities and this one surpasses the others by far. The caregivers are so sweet and always go the extra mile to make sure he is not only well taken care of but happy. The administrative staff is excellent .. you can tell they not only care for the residents but their families as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a facility for their parent.. it gives you peace of mind and comfort knowing they are surrounded by these awesome folks.

Love the facility physically, it is very nice. Love the caregivers, they are very loving and treat our loved one like part of their extended family. Truly appreciate the Director and Office Manager and the staff. I have been concerned about the ratio of caregivers to residents in Memory Care locked down portion of facility, especially at nights and on weekends. However, I believe more caregivers have been recruited and there is no longer cause for concern.

I toured Lake Joy Assisted Living & Memory Care and it took my breath away! The staffs main purpose is assuring their residents are happy in their aesthetically beautiful center. It definitely gives you that resort feel! I spoke with one resident who moved from Albany, and he told me that this was the best senior care center that he has ever lived in and he brought four of his friends with him! He also said that he would never move because Lake Joy Assisted Living was the BEST. I asked to see the dinner that was being served that evening and was impressed with the delicious, healthy meal! Its apparent that the entire staff cares about the well being of their residents. Its nice to know that we have this outstanding facility in central Georgia!
