Our mother-in-law is currently at Salude recovering from a broken hip, and I cannot say enough good things about the care she has received here. This is actually our second stay at Salude, and after our experiences, we know that our family will continue choosing Salude for years to come. When someone you love is recovering from a painful injury, your biggest concern is knowing that they are being treated with kindness, patience, dignity, and gentleness. That has been exactly our experience. Every person we have encountered has been kind, compassionate, and genuinely caring toward her. I honestly haven’t met a single rude person during the few weeks we’ve been here. And sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. The staff are funny, they laugh with the patients and families, and they bring a little lightness to an otherwise difficult season. Laughter really is healing medicine, and we are so grateful for the people who help bring it into her days. The facility itself is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The family/day room is such a wonderful space, filled with books, games, puzzles, and other things to keep patients and families occupied and stimulated during what can be a long and painful healing process. The food may not always be the highlight , but honestly, the people serving it are so kind and cheerful that they almost make it taste better! One little tip for families: bring a cozy blanket! The AC works VERY well here, and it can get chilly. A special shout-out to Kelly, John, Denise, and Chad. There are so many other wonderful people whose names I didn’t catch, but please know that your kindness has not gone unnoticed. Thank you, Salude, for taking such good care of someone we love. Recovery from a broken hip is not easy, but having a team of people who treat her with such gentleness, humor, compassion, and respect makes an enormous difference to our entire family.

The physical, occupational, and speech therapist have taught me new things and helped me with exercises that I can continue with that I plan to stay more healthy in the future. Salude, an amazing rehab with awesome results! I am so thankful for the care and therapy provided consistently here. I recommend Salude to people looking for inpatient rehab that doesn’t want to be just put somewhere because the family doesn’t have a plan to assist their loved ones in their time of need. Medicare doesn’t cover long term needs for private care- in my experience people think Medicare or replacement plans are a retirement plan- it’s just healthcare insurance. Make a plan for your needs as you age.

In the past 24 hours I have seriously debated about sharing my thoughts. However, I feel if I don’t, someone else’s loved one may go through a similar experience and I would hate for that to happen when I could have at least shared my thoughts. My mother was discharged yesterday. She fell 8 weeks ago and fractured both her wrist and her sacrum. After a couple weeks in the hospital, she was transferred to Salude to continue to rehab. I visited every day and my brother also visited often. My overall thoughts are that some of the CNA’s (Agnes and Pasang) were so caring and attentive as were 2 of her nurses, Alicia and her nurse yesterday (can’t remember name). Most others do not give a fig about patient care and are just there for a check, including the day time front desk staff. They don’t respond to the call button and are not forthcoming with information. This was our first experience with inpatient rehab. In other words, we didn’t know what we didn’t know, so we weren’t well versed in questions to ask. Example, it wasn’t until I asked 8 days into mom’s stay that there is a shower schedule and then I got rolling of eyes that I didn’t already know that information. 8 days!!! Supervisors and particularly the discharging NP, Cindy (?) only want to do the minimum and I guess are not used to having any push back from the patient or family. I’ve never seen a provider or care team flat out REFUSE to honor a patient’s wishes. Even after the family has expressed understanding of risks of not doing what is being recommended and offering to sign documentation stating the same. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is for the therapy staff! From Chad and Nicole to Jess and Torithank you for hearing and listening to me and mom and helping her get strong. I’m happy to say that since returning home, she’s doing well. If you have other options, please consider them v sending your loved one here.

Salude took good care of my mom while she was recovering from injuries because of a fall. Mitchelyn and Susana were wonderful to her. Emma the speech therapist was also great as well as Lane, Lou, Vicki and all the PT and OT folks. Jeanette in the dining room was sweet and always cheerful. My dad had a stay here to rehab after receiving a pacemaker. Although he had some challenges throughout his time at Salude, the nursing staff was attentive and helpful. PT and OT are top notch! I highly recommend having lunch in the dining room, Miss Jeanette is a fantastic hostess and it gets the patients out of their rooms for a while.

My mom has had a positive experience here. She says the food is good, the care is excellent and the pt and ot has been very beneficial. I have no luck reaching her by phone, getting her nurse or the physical therapist to call me back. Salude is absolutely fantastic. I was transferred there after 10 days in the hospital as the result of a severe femur fracture and very involved surgery. When I arrived at Salude I couldn’t even stand without assistance and walking was impossible. The very first morning, after my arrival, I was in PT and OT. Three and a half weeks later I was walking, with the aid of a walker! The therapists were terrific. Well beyond my expectations. The nurses and all of the other staff and assistants were just wonderful, helpful, caring, considerate, cheerful and every other adjective one can think of, and whenever I pressed the assist button someone was ALWAYS there right away. I just can’t say enough good things about Salude. They literally changed my life.

My 94 year old father (who looks and acts a lot younger) just spent eight nights at Salude after a six night hospital stay. The facility wasn’t convenient to my parents’ or my home, but we picked it based on reviews and reputation. I am so glad we chose Salude. This was our first experience with a rehab facility, and it exceeded our expectations. The facility and the staff were wonderful. I hope we never need rehab in the future, but if we do, we will definitely pick Salude again.

Cannot seem to administer moms home medications on time or as she’s taken for 12 years. In 4 days, still haven’t bathed her, food always cold. Nurses yelling, laughing & joking at all hours of the day & night. Techs get annoyed when asked questions. We should have picked another rehab or paid out of pocket to do at home. Only positives are the physical therapists & pretty grounds.

When we had to pick a rehab for our Dad we searched for places with good reviews and Salude was a top pick. It also happened to be within an 8 minute drive from my house. So we made the choice for him to go there. I understand why the reviews were so good now. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. After a little more than two weeks he was back at his baseline and ready to leave. The communication regarding his progress was great and helped us to make some important decisions regarding next steps. We hope that he will not need a rehab facility again but if he does we will 100% come back to Salude.

My husband broke his hip in February and was sent to a Nursing Home (after his hospital stay) that was old and filthy. We were able to get him moved to Salude after a week at the other place and it was like him being at a 5 star hotel in comparison to the other place. It is so clean and the facility looks new. The nurses and other staff were so kind to my husband. We really appreciate his time there.

I heard such good things for so long about this place after waiting a week I finally get my mother into this place because of Transportation they were having that should have been a sign I want to First say that half of the staff is good half of the staff is dedicated to Patient welfare half of the Doctors Care the rest of them are cruel cold-hearted and lazy my mother 76 years old went there after knee surgery while she's there they refused to give her pain medication when she requests it to spite Doctors Orders and her doctor harassing them to give it to her when she wants it at night there's nobody there that will help her when she needs to get up as she needs assistance still getting around she would cry in pain and they told her to stop crying and go to sleep she couldn't lift her leg and they told her it's not their job to move her after surgery swelling is a big deal and she needs ice several times a day getting ice in this place to place on her swollen leg is like asking the walls to move 6 ft it does not happen despite numerous requests from doctors and family I hope this place ships up before it ships out

The nursing staff has a terrible attitude. My friend had been there a week and her bed had not been changed. The bathroom was dirty along with the floor. When this was brought to the attention of the staff they were rude & insisted the bed had been changed and the room and bathroom had been cleaned daily. There was a bad of trash sitting inside her door. After we insisted they did come in to take care of things. The therapist seem to do a good job.

I have just completed a nine day rehabilitation for a fractured vertebrae (T-10). This was the most thorough rehab I have ever been a participant in. I cannot say enough about how much I admire the leadership and staff of care givers that assisted me in my rehab. If you have to go to rehab, this is the place to go. Facilities are very nice and comfortable, and the rooms are quiet. There is a great dining area and seperate reading room on the 2nd floor. The workout room is perfect for those of us in physical rehab. The food is good with lots of choices. Most importantly, though, the personnel are professional, kind, caring and really take care of you. I highly recommend Salude/Suwanee.

Genesis is one of the best CMA’s you have at Salude. She works hard with patients and her fellow employees. Always does her job with a smile and never ignores anyone. She is always helping someone when anyone needs her. Any complaints you have, she gives you answers for everything, right or wrong and finds the answer if she does not know. Genesis is top notch, very professional, and Salude needs more like her. She makes sure all patients feel comfortable and listens to whatever is needed, plus gets it done. She is always overseeing everything and everyone and making sure patients and fellow workers are getting things done and helping her workers are happy. You won’t find a better place for rehab for you or your loved one. Staff very caring and always available. I visited my Dad almost everyday. When it was time to leave the staff came by to say goodbye. Another patient that my Dad had gotten to know in the dining room was brought to his room by a nurse to say goodbye. Morgan went above and beyond to assist my father and I with an unusual records request. It is refreshing to have someone provide updates every step of the way to resolution. My 94 y/o mom broke her hip in 3 places from a simple fall. The doctors put her back together but Salude made it all come together. My best experience at Salude was when they saved my life. I wasn't feeling well and the the next thing I knew I was at the hospital having a heart procedure with a stent inserted into my fully blocked left artery. I feel like their fast action saved my life and I will be forever grateful. I found the nurse assistants to be kind, caring people. I found the therapist to be well educated, trained professionals that knew exactly what I needed. Despite a low salt, low fat diet, my meals were fine. Overall, I cannot give Salude a high enough rating. It is an excellent rehab place.

PT and OT did a good job, but we found the nursing staff to be unresponsive and uncaring (with the exception of two that we experienced). Food was a disaster and often unedible. They left my mom sitting alone most of the day and night, didn’t give medication when ordered, and did not provide family care meeting. Not impressed!!

My mother was at Salude twice this year. We were very pleased with the care she received. The nursing staff was very attentive and the physical and occupational therapist worked with multiple times a day to improve her independence. The activity director provided games and puzzles or books to help entertain her during down time. Her first patient care coordinator was Rhonda Frazier who went above and beyond for my mother. She even checked on her frequently during her second stay even though she was not assigned to her. They all took great care of our loved one and I highly recommend this facility.

If I need a rehab center PLEASE drag me to Salude!!! Mom is a healthy 94 year old woman who fell and suffered a hairline fracture of her pelvis. She was up the first day working as hard as she could with PT. She was doing stair steps within two weeks. From Dee, the Executive Director, to the docs (Especially Myrna), RN's, and their outstanding CNA's and therapists all love their jobs and it shows. They made my Mom comfortable and were responsive to her even with her early stage memory issues. Rhonda in the Front Office got involved when a hearing aid went missing. As did the dietary director. They offered to replace the missing unit. My Dad had been in and out of Rehab centers in Florida. They are horrible compared to this facility. Salude is NOT just about the pretty pictures, metal art, and patios for outdoor visits. Salude is the most comprehensive, capable and compassionate care facility I have experienced, anywhere. Dee, you have excellent team leads, they hire people that love being there, and in turn show genuine care and compassion to the patients. Thanks... We appreciate all or you there... I researched several facilities for my mother before selecting Salude as the rehab center she would transition to following her surgery. Each of the staff members I had contact with from (the nursing administrator, nurses, direct care staff, doctors, business office , physical and occupational therapists were all very professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. The team at Salude was very attentive, caring and stayed in constant contact with me about my mom’s recovery. To say I was very pleased with the care and professionalism shown to my mother, does not adequately convey the genuine appreciation to everyone we encountered at Salude. I have been a patient here at Salude for about 2 months, I am discharged today, I would like to share my experience with anyone looking for a transitional facility after surgery or in need of great care. The Nursing care is outstanding 24/7. Therapy does there magic daily. The CNAs are caring compassionate and willing to help at any time. The housekeeping team clean my room daily, while doing all of my laundry. It is comforting to know that all patients are safe during this time in our lives. Pressure sore! Fell twice fractured hip, weight loss!Need to have better anti fall measures and true food choices and snacks. Came out worse then went in! - Came in walking, came out wheelchair bound!! Rehab???That’s not rehab! Really no food choices and always out of other drinks but maybe water. Staff and front desk very friendly, will take food you bring to loved one but why should you have to! Can visit from window if bottom room. Bobbie, nurse practitioner good and head nurse listens but care overall is below standard by other staff. Good report no patients with Covid while staying there. Dr seems M.I.A.
