The team at The Social is outstanding. My parents have been there for 3 months now and love it. Everyone went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and make the move in as easy as possible. The place is amazingly friendly and supportive and the food is really good. My parents had several options and Social was their hands down choice. Having all three stages of care is a huge bonus. My father said “if happy is 100, I am at at 1000”. Hard to beat that. This move has worked out really well and I trust them completely.

Beautiful facility and Kenley was wonderful; especially in light of the fact that I was having a breakdown about my mother. She not only reassured me-she genuinely cares about the community. The residents look like they are having fun. Heck! I would live there. 🙂

My Mom has had the pleasure of living at the Social of Savannah for 6 years. She had the experience of such a kind and receptive staff. One of the big reasons she moved there was for the social activities. She immensely enjoyed the residents,... playing cards and bingo and the different events and she also enjoyed sharing meals in the dining room. Thank you everyone for such a positive experience! Toured the memory care community recently and was very pleased to find spacious, updated apartments with options for companion rooms. Memory care is positioned so that windows view an adorable courtyard complete with string lights twinkling gently at night! This community is a great option for ensuring the safety of loved ones with memory impairment.

Moving my mother Into a senior living community was a tough decision for our family to say the least. When we met with the staff at Social at Savannah, they turned this otherwise difficult task into a pleasurable experience for my mom and myself. We found them to be kind, compassionate and very much interested in helping my mom become part of the community at Social at Savannah. Everyone has been welcoming, kind and helpful to our family. I recommend Social at Savannah highly to anyone facing this decision with an aging parent. We couldnt be happier!

Jennifer, LeRia, and the rest of the management team have done a great job navigating through a very difficult pandemic. Our mother, in memory care, has been well cared for and we have always been pleased with the staff that tends to her needs on a daily basis.

I have been so impressed with Thrives efforts to improve the community - not just the buildings and interiors, but the teams and leadership as well. When my mom first entered the memory care section of the community, she was 20 pounds underweight and was having trouble with her medications. The staff was very compassionate and accommodating to her needs and before we knew it, she was back to her ideal weight which helped in getting her on the right medicine. It was such a relief! I highly recommend the Social at Savannah.

My mother really enjoys living at Savannah Commons. However for the past month Ive been trying to resolve an issue with the changeover in the ownership. They took out double the amount she owed for the month, and now its been four weeks without any resolution

I have lived at Savannah Commons for 3 1, 2 years and it was the best decision I ever made. Its like a big family here. Some family you love more than others but we all get along. The staff here is wonderful. They will do anything in their power to make you feel at home here. My room mate Mickey (my little dog) and myself just love it here. There are so many activities here, that one doesnt have a chance to get bored. And the food is like eating in a fancy restaurant. I feel safe here with the all the staff looking out for all of us. Love. Love, love Savannah Commons.

My grandmother lived as a resident of Savannah Commons for over 4 years. She began in the Independent Living section, and as time went on, moved to Assisted Living and then eventually Memory Care.My family and I visited Savannah Commons often and even stayed overnight in their family apartments (which are furnished apartments that you rent like a hotel room). The rooms are great and meant we could spend even more time visiting my grandmother, since we stayed on-site.The staff is simply amazing - so kind, so loving, and very welcoming to family and friends who visit the residents at Savannah Commons. They always greeted us and my grandmother with a smile! As my grandmother became more elderly, she needed more care, and the staff really stepped up to meet her needs. The nurses and hospice nurses are all very informed, ready to assist, and its clear they enjoy their job. Im so thankful my Nan had this incredible community and staff in her final years.

We have been very pleased with the staff and service at Savannah Commons for the past two years. We moved my Aunt into Memory Care at Savannah Commons in September 2016. We know she is safe and well taken care of by all of the staff at Savannah Commons. My Aunt was a former RN and she still thinks she is working. The staff have all been great about making her feel like she has a job and purpose still. We were really impressed this past fall when the decision was made to evacuate because of Hurricane Irma. We were kept up to date on all the plans and well being of everyone. Having someone who is in Memory Care it was important to us that my Aunt have her constant, being surrounded by the same people and staff she is use to being with daily. We felt Savannah Commons went above and beyond regarding services during a time that was scary and unknown for the residents. I would recommend Savannah Commons to anyone that needs a safe, secure environment for their loved one.

We moved our mother into savannah commons assisted living more than 4 years ago. Best decision we could have made! The staff and management all go way above and beyond not only to care for her, but to involve the family. We have never seen anything but the very best in care from this facility. Mom will be turning 96 on sept 9, and we recently moved her into the arbors for her dementia issues. She tells us she is treated very well, and she is happy and content where she is.

Ive lived at Savannah Commons for 2 years and really made the right decision when I moved here. Living here is like living with family. I live with people who are as close as family. Just like living with Aunts, Uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters. The staff is fantastic, they took care of us during 2 hurricanes. Treated us like royalty. Joyce McBride is a very organized lady with a great staff. Randy keeps us busy with so many activities that I have to stay in my room to catch my breath some days. Mary keeps us happy during happy hour . And Debbie, our chef, tries very hard to make delicious meals for everyone. This is my home now and its the best decision Ive every made to move here. So if anyone is looking for a great independent senior apartment, Savannah Commons will fit that bill.

I have been here for almost 2 years. It is my haven. I am so thrilled to have my own little apartment. The staff goes above and beyond there jobs. My problem is with some of the other residents not being kind at times. But everyone has their days. I pray for all the staff and residents daily. Thanks you for being here for us.

The Staff of Savannah Commons evacuated the all residents to Myrtle Beach because of Hurricane Irma! They did such a wonderful job. Thank you to you all - I know it was a major operation and I am sure you did not get much rest. But know that we are beyond grateful to you. Our parents and friends were looked after so well, and it was such a relief to know that they were having fun and safe whilst we were battening down the hatches. KUDOS TO YOU ALL!

Im giving 5 stars not because of the facilities, which are certainly adequate, but because of the team. My mom has been at SC since 2013. She began with Independent Living and then Assisted Living, and now she is in Memory Care. It has been a spectacular experience for her and our family every step of the way. Theres an overused saying that a business has become like family. That applies here. Except that the team at SC is even better because in addition to caring for my mom as if theyre part of our family, they also possess the professional knowledge we do not. Consider whats happening today. The residents have evacuated because of the storm Irma. The ENTIRE STAFF of SC has gone as well. Randy, the activities director, has a full plate of events for all the residents. Etc., etc. These people are committed to what they do -- from the executive director to every CNA. Its a big team and theres the occasional person who doesnt fit well. When this happens, the head of nursing, Carissa Suggs, and the executive director, Joyce McBride, deal with it very swiftly. The result is a team thats in tight unity. If youre considering a place for your aging loved one, check everything else out. And then, go to Savannah Commons. From our experience, they stand alone.

My mother moved into Savannah Commons in October 2014 in the independent living facility and lived there until her untimely death February 2015. A friend of mine who had a good experience with her own mother living there had recommended it to me, as well as another friend whose mother currently lives in the memory care unit. When I toured the facility prior to her moving in I was very impressed with everything I saw and after moving her into her own apartment I was not disappointed. Everyone there was friendly and did all that they could to help her to acclimate to living in an apartment after over 50 years of being in her own home. The other residents took her in as one of their own and she was invited and encouraged to attend the meals and many activities they offer by residents and staff alike. The building was always clean and inviting at any time I went there and in any area I visited. When I would visit, almost anyone I talked to knew who my mother was by name, and many of the staff knew and recognized me as I entered. Although our original intention to have her live there for many years to come was cut short by her death, I cannot say enough about the time that she did spend there. Her online legacy guest book shows how much the people there cared about her through the comments they all made. I am thankful that in her last few months she was surrounded by friends, residents and staff, that cared so much about her.
