My mother started out in independent living for about seven years before moving to her assisted living apartment for the next 4+ years. We were extremely pleased with both units she called home. The staff is wonderful! Numerous activities and events provided for residents. I highly recommend the Cottages for your family and would be glad to answer any questions regarding our experience.

We were disappointed in the care The Cottages on Weselyn provided our Mom. We thought after interviewing them and Mom being assessed and accepted by them, that it was the right place for Mom. But it turned out they are not truly prepared to assist memory care. Their website claims constantly monitor residents wellbeing. But Mom was ignored. I spoke with Joy regarding Mom being introduced to fellow residents and activities. She replied we can do that. Really? Shouldnt that be a priority when a new resident moves in? Especially when you are aware and accepted a resident with memory care issues. In the short time Mom was there, other incidents told us Mom wasnt getting the assistance she needed. And they had the audacity to say we should hire sitters to monitor Mom. So in reality they only provide basic assisted living not true memory care as they advertise.

I have visited the Cottages many times over the past many years. I was very pleasantly surprised by the hospitable atmosphere and courteousness of the people who worked there. And wow, I love the food - always good, always...

My 95 year old mother loves living at the Cottages. She was in an independent cottage for 13 years and really enjoyed it. She participates in most all activities and has made many friends. My brothers and I are so relieved that she is in such a loving and safe place. The staff is so kind to her and all residents and eager to help them.

I visited most every Independent/Asst. Living facility in Macon after originally touring The Cottages on Wesleyan, and for me it was a no brainer. The location is prime and anything you might need (Publix, drug stores and much more) is less than 10-15 minutes away, plus The Shoppes at River Crossing is very close -less than 5 mins for all your shopping, dining, etc. The homes are spacious, all have beautiful shrubbery and flowers of your choosing and landscaping services are there several times a week. Maintenance issues are handled with speed and proficiency. The entire staff is wonderful; very friendly, eager to please and very cooperative. Management is top drawer and works very hard for the senior residents (particularly in Asst. Living) to make their days a little brighter with delicious meals and a variety of activities. If this sounds appealing to you, come visit us. I don't think you will be disappointed.

When we were looking for an assisted living apartment for our mom, we visited most of the Macon locations. When we got to The Cottages on Wesleyan, it just seemed to be the right place. Now a year later, we're sure it was the right decision. Our mom has a beautiful apartment and her furniture, pictures, etc. make it feel like home to her. All of the staff are wonderful and very caring. Mom's only complaint is that the food is so good she is afraid she will gain weight. A very nice complaint to have!

My mother has been a resident of The Cottages assisted living for just over a year. She has a very nice, spacious, comfortable apartment. The staff is attentive to her needs including personal care and safety, meals, laundry, and housekeeping. I have been more at ease with her being at The Cottages knowing she is cared for day and night and has immediate access to assistance and help if she needs it.
